    Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

I need one match between Adam Copeland and Sting before Revolution 2024. I imagine Sting's last match at Revolution will be against Darby Allin but yeah, still going to need that Copeland/Sting match at least once.

With Full Gear taking place in LA, and Sting's final match being Revolution, have to wonder where Revolution is taking place. Would be cool if it were in Atlanta which would be very fitting, maybe Panama City, FL since that was where the last Nitro was held. Knowing TK though, he probably will pick one of his usual cities AEW goes to for events instead of going to new places.

      Chicago? Jacksonville?

I guess for sure it's his final match, not even a WWE thing after. I don't even see anyone in WWE I can think of I'd want to see him against minus someone like an Orton or Cena.

His final match has to be against Darby.

2024 is sure gonna be an interesting year for AEW.

Sting retiring, Danielson retiring, who knows how long Copelands deal is or if he's planning on retiring fully after AEW. Dustin probably retiring too? Though unlike Sting, I think it makes sense for him to go to WWE even if it's for a one match only return and retire as Goldust either with or against Cody and then he goes into the WWE HOF.

For Sting's retirement match, if possible, Khan should try to get Ric Flair. Flair said he wasn't happy with his retirement match and while the match wouldn't be good, it makes sense, is a perfect opponent for Sting, has a history and nostalgia. Not sure who would win but if it was up to me, i would have them go a 30 minute draw or if they can go, 45 minute draw because it's how their very first match ended. Some probably wouldn't like this but I think it would be perfect. If Sting wins, great but he doesn't need to win nor does Flair.

I don't think Sting's opponent should be a young guy unless Sting is putting him over and for Copeland, meh, if Copeland loses, it wouldn't hurt his value but at the same time, losing to a 60+ year old doesn't look good either.

I'm hoping it's Flair because I think he by far makes the most sense.

Got some Baileys in the coffee this morning, Pete?

You want a 60+ year old man who hasn't had a singles match in years to take on a 70+ year old man who looked absolutely terrible in his "retirement" Tag team match to go 30-45 minutes??

          1. I absolutely would never watch that.

          2. That's such a liability to health risk for both men.

I mean, how about a tag match at best? Darby and Sting vs. Flair & someone Darby is feuding with.

My want for Stings retirement match is simply a singles match with Darby and put Darby over.

Personally, I don't want the match at all but since they're doing it, who else besides Flair would it be or make any sense? The match would be for history and nostalgia. That's it. It's not meant to be a great or even decent match which won't happen regardless of who Sting's opponent ends up being.

Tag match I wouldn't like because the younger talents would wrestle most of the match which in general, would be fine but in what is supposed to be Sting's final match, it defeats the purpose in my opinion.

Sting/Flair 15 minute match and there you go, done.

I know this all has to do with MJF potentially surpassing Omega as the longest AEW Champion in history if MJF gets through this week I believe. Still hot shotting this match on free TV, against College Football AND the World Series without no story build is everything wrong with AEW.

If they had been teasing this for weeks where MJF says he is going to be the longest reigning champion, then have Omega interrupt and you intertwine the story with Jay White and tease tension between Omega/White, this would work and you could do the MJF/Omega match to build into a Triple Threat at Full Gear with Jay White.

What a spectacularly awkward end to that show.

So AEW announced a new PPV for December called 'Worlds End'... to take place in Long Island, NY at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

                    MJF's Farewell show?

...but if MJF hasn't signed a contract extension and I doubt that he has because it would be wise for AEW to publicly announce it like with The Elite and they haven't plus I can see some kind of four way at World's End with MJF/Joe/White/Omega.

If MJF is leaving, im hoping for Jay White to officially win the title at Full Gear. We'll see what happens though.

                          Ric Flair = low ratings

It's not like the "old days" where you're sitting through a show to see someone. If you're watching for a specific person, you're just watching that person or seeing clips after.

It's why WWE focuses more on the brand than individual talent.

Having big names definitely helps gain buzz, but I think "drawing power" today has a much diff definition than it used to.

Nick Nemeth(FKA Dolph Ziggler) is going to debut by saving his brother from an attack on Miro isn't he? Poor Ryan, got unbanned from Collision only to get beat up by Miro.

Tony Khan has an important announcement to make on Dynamite tomorrow. Does Tony not know what a press release is? Like he can just announce whatever in a press release or tweet the same way WWE does.
