Sting's last match has been announced. Sting & Darby Allin vs The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution. Kinda wish he could still go in a singles match, I know people wanted Sting vs Darby but I was hoping we get Sting vs Adam Copeland, would have been a nice final match.

Guess Sting was the one who chose it.

Guess that's the biggest match he could think of where he AND Darby wins (if it was Sting vs Darby, either Sting goes over with a win on his way out which doesn't help Darby, or Darby wins and Sting goes out on a loss if that's the thinking behind it)

Too bad we never did get Sting vs Taker. In hindsight, Sting vs Taker in that Boneyard match as their final matches would've been a fitting ending.

That street fight on battle of the belts really did go all out to the streets.

I always wonder what people who aren't part of it (ones in the restaurant across the street or a car passing by) think.

You just see a bunch of people fighting. Sure, they probably assume it's a movie shoot since you have lights and cameras usually, but I can just picture someone capturing it on their phone and posting it on social media like "Check out this crazy fight I saw while I was on my way to pick up dinner!"


Sammy: I'm a father now. I have to approach matches differently, I can't do the same crazy things I once did.

I hope Private Party can get going again.

Seemed like right before they joined with Matt Hardy they were gonna be one of the top teams in AEW, and 3 years later they're no better off.

Tony Khan really showed WWE on that one! Look I get WWE stopped caring about the credibility of finishers before AEW came around but Joe just won the world title and immediately has his finisher kicked out of at one is a dumb decision.

Can we get back to when finishing moves were protected please?

Can we get back to when finishing moves were protected please?

What we also need are finishes without using finishers.

Let's say we're having Copeland VS Nick Wayne or Rollins vs Tozawa.

We know who's winning it (if it ends clean), no need to have it last 10 mins and the guy needs to use his finisher. Copeland should beat Wayne without needing a spear, Rollins should beat Tozawa without the stomp. Finisher should be a "last resort/put them away" type of thing rather than a "let's see if this works" type of thing.

False finishes are good when done correctly, but it doesn't work 5 minutes into a match, or if you do it over and over again.

Not that Hooks a nobody, but like you said, kickout at 1 against the world champ who won the title with that very move weeks ago. Although on that note, I do want to see more kickouts at 1. We see too many 2 counts, even during moves that aren't deserving of a 2 and/or early in a match when the person shouldn't even be down enough for a 2 count.

They really did a split screen black and white vs colour tv like interview on the stage. Looked cool.

Not sure how I feel about team cage matches where you win by escaping.

Where's the logic behind trying to escape?

If I'm a team, I'm letting someone escape, or throw them out myself and now it's a handicap match in a cage.

WWE did this before too and it's never made sense to me.

So next week Tony has another announcement.... does he announce Okada or Mercedes to AEW? Have to think it's Mercedes since reports say Okada still hasn't decided yet where he wants to go.

There should definitely not be an AEW Hall of Fame lol. That would be so TNA.
