I’d be really annoyed by that interview if I was WWE too

      Re: WWE Releases

      Tyler Breeze gone too!?

Sucks to see him go. He was one of the longtime guys in developmental going back to FCW. I'm sure most guys on the roster today have competed against him at some point in FCW/NXT/WWE. A popular guy backstage as well.

The greatest tag team countdown is hosted by Breezango and not all episodes aired yet. That's a bit awkward.

They're really gutting NXT. Everrise and Dain gone as well. I believe both guys were on NXT this week.

Is all this really leading to a sale, or are they just trying to save lots of money before going on the road?

          Re: WWE Releases

Its crazy/sad that despite all the releases, theres still so many who aren't really doing much on the roster and wouldn't even be surprising if they're ever let go.

Tozawa (I don't think WWE even remembers they have a 24/7 title), Garza, Gulak, LHP, Humberto, Ryker, Dana, Slapjack are all names I'm surprised are still around (for now).

            Re: WWE Releases

A deleted Tweet from Sean Ross Sapp, as it seems multiple tweets that reference Nick Khan have been deleted. Including one tweet that Sean said WWE told him to deny Nick Khan as the driving force behind the releases.

Why would WWE be trying to protect Nick Khan here? By telling someone to not mention a certain name that basically means they are covering for him. I don't know who this Nick Khan fellow is but something tells me he needs to be introduced to Triple H's golden shovel.

He's the WWE President and Chief Revenue Officer, so you'd have to imagine the budget cuts are coming from his side.

Of all this round, I’ll maybe miss…Tyler Breeze? He was rarely on anyway.

At least those released now are in a better position to find work than those released a year ago when things were more uncertain.

But the other day you guys were saying that it doesn't matter if these writers have no clue about wrestling. What's there to be annoyed about?

Wasn't I the only one who said something? I stand by it too - a mix of wrestling and non-wrestling people writing the show isn't a bad thing.

I guess if anything they'd be annoyed that she said the quiet part out loud?

With all these releases, 205 live is basically dead right?

I'd imagine Main Event might follow as well. Is there really any reason to keep it going? The extra talent you're keeping on the roster just to fill that show, while not really having many if any TV deals for the show, does a show like that really break even for you?

Depends on the mix/reason they have those non wrestling people involved.

It would be like hiring a hockey scout to be a scout for your basketball team when their only basketball knowledge might be that they're familiar with the name Michael Jordan. Sure, you have other scouts who obviously know basketball, and the higher ups will be the final decision makers, but what is your purpose there?

It was both of you. WWE has been hiring people from Hollywood (and outside wrestling in general) forever. Brian Gewirtz is the classic example, but they've brought in comedians, actors, etc, many with zero wrestling knowledge. Why bringing that up publicly is somehow embarrassing or annoying is kind of strange in 2021. We know what WWE is.

If that’s the way you want to interpret all that lol

That analogy is reaching, but the story about this writer isn't interesting enough to keep talking about, so I'm dropping it on my end after this. lol

Everything in pro wrestling boils down to different variations of "I'm going to kick your ***!" You don't need to have some deep knowledge of wrestling history to write to that emotion.

If its just generic matches (like we unfortunately have too much of nowadays) then it won't matter as much.

But if they want stories like we saw in feuds like Kane vs Shane, HHH vs HBK, Cena vs Edge and many others over the years where it's a deep rooted story in it, then you need to make it work.

Adam Cole likely reacting live to the news of Breeze being released

Twitch is the world's leading video platform and community for gamers.

I'm sure it must be tough for some people. Obviously it's a business, but wrestling backstage nowadays seems like its more about friends than it is groups/people undermining each other to get ahead.

I dont really see Breeze going elsewhere though. He has a wrestling school and from what he mentioned on New Days podcast about it, he seems to really love teaching.
