Cody: He's in. We're in business.

I know Sami was talking about KO but I'm still curious who Seth was wanting to recruit.

Jey seemed uncomfortable with Cody announcing the 5th man.

McIntyre is mad at Jey for costing him the biggest moment in his career, well.......Orton can be mad at Jey for almost costing him his entire career.

I wonder what's the longest time a full time superstar has been out for.

Austin was gone for a year, Ortons been out for about a year and a half.

So the "meeting" between Pearce and Aldis seemed to have nothing to do with the Wargames match, so what could it be about?

A random thrown together brand vs brand match at SS? They teased brand tension a few weeks back but abandoned it.

Or does the timing have anything to do with it? It happened right after the tag teams were arguing about who gets the next show at the titles. It was all teams from Raw.

Maybe Aldis wants a tag title for his own show.

Exactly this... last time we saw Orton, the Usos beat RKBro to become unified Tag Champs. Of course Jey doesn't like it because he knows Orton is another guy angry at him. I really enjoy this booking of Jey, everyone still mad at him so they aren't too quick to forgive him for the Bloodline stuff.

Miz/Gunther had the best segment of the night for me. Great promos from both superstars. Gunther showed me why he is destined for greatness once he is in the main event scene (probably next year). Loved how they mentioned about bullying in here too. Still weird to see Miz be a babyface right now but it is what it is. I expect Gunther to retain but a Miz IC Title win doesn't sound too bad.

Solid night of wrestling matches though. I dont know what is the match of the night for me. Shinsuke/Gable had a good match with the predictable Shinsuke win. I really dont care much for Gargano anymore so his match against Kaiser slipped through my mind. Becky vs Xia Li had a lot of time and Becky did a great making Xia look good here. The brand split did not matter here though with the post match stuff. Nia Jax vs Racquel was a fascinating match between two huge woman as well. Holy hell, there were so many women featured on this week's show! There was that fatal four way to determine the top contender for the women's Tag Team Titles. Main event match between Drew McIntrye and Jey Uso was solid with a clean finish. Drew needed this one. The post match stuff. Of course. We now know who the 5th member is. I dont blame the WWE for making the reveal. Got to sell tickets to the show! And to make people stop wishing for that other Chicago guy to be back in the company. Decent show this week.

I think that's the main reason for announcing the 5th member.

Not WWEs fault at all, but once fans start speculating on their own as to who someone might be, they set themselves up for disappointment when it's not that guy.

Imagine constant CM Punk chants all night long and during the wargames match because fans thought/wanted Punk to be the guy but instead had to "settle" for Orton.

Now, fans know it's Orton and still haven't actually seen him yet so he'll get the big pop when he shows up.

Also why their team probably lost the advantage match. Orton is likely the last guy to enter Wargames.

People hoping for CM Punk deserve to be perpetually disappointed and sad.

I feel like if he does go to WWE at any point it'll just be a return to do one final run/match and he's done by WM.

Maybe a Crown Jewel show since you know they'll pay lots for him to be there.

For maximum chaos and press, Punk vs Logan Paul. I could see that easily turning into a real feud too.

Saw on Twitter, fans tried starting a CM Punk chant before Smackdown but were then promptly booed for doing so lol.

Even when he was in AEW (once he returned from that first suspension) that was also the case.

Oh well something tells me we will be in for a long two nights if they are chanting CM Punk in the middle of this promo for the Women's War Games match.

And they got booed again. Sane people still exist.

For those who don't know, Bayley put out a post on Instagram with the caption, "I've Always Got A Plan", and the photo is Bayley, Asuka, Kairi, and Sasha Banks.

I'd take a Sasha Banks return over a Punk return quite honestly. Don't you tease me like this Bayley.
