So.... I think I'm at the point where I think that I'm at the point of possibly looking forward to Smackdown.....?

Yeah, they finally got the show back on track after being a mess throughout most of the Summer.

And they are doing the thing where an angle is carrying and builds up until the end of the show! Good ****, pal!

Nothing to get blown away over tonight. But that's not gonna happen every week. Again, we get some great wrestling, great talking, and a banger main event and ending.

We are getting story progression every week. Along with seeds being planted here and there to create intrigue. It really is a new era.

Gunther and Sheamus was great too.

Ricochet and Corban was great, and no 50/50 booking. So that makes the show a win in my book.

I…I…I’m pretty sure Gunther/Sheamus is the match I’m looking forward to most and it’s not even close. I used to dread Sheamus being on TV but I genuinely really really like this Peaky Blinders-esque version of his character.

The feud and eventual pairing (which I didn't like at first) of Sheamus with Cesaro really helped flesh him out. He was extremely boring in and out of the ring prior, IMO, but they really found their niché and groove together.

I wish that pairing could've remained together much longer especially with how shallow WWE's men's tag division is.

So I guess the reason Nikki and Doudrop didn't win was because the finals to crown new Women's Tag Champions is happening Monday on RAW. It makes sense since Io and Dakota are set for that 6 Women Tag at Clash at The Castle but would have been nice to see the titles get a match on a big show like this.

So who thinks Iyo and Kai win the titles Monday, then go to the Clash to face...the returning Sasha and Naomi as a surprise?

It might be tough getting them there without anybody noticing though. Maybe we are looking at Raw in two weeks when that happens.

Iyo & Kai are already doing the 6 woman tag at Clash though. Unless they’re making them compete twice that night don’t think that’s happening.

What I’d put my money on happening is the women’s tag tournament main eventing Raw tonight. Then in the old Punk/Cena style, after Sky & Kai win the tournament and are celebrating with the titles Sasha and Naomi’s music hits and they come out on the stage with their tag titles and the stare down closes the show with their first words coming either at Clash or the following Monday. But that’s what makes the most sense happening to me, hence why it took so long to finally start the tournament. They had to wait for a new set of tag titles to be made so they can run the undisputed tag champs angle in the event they were able to work things out bringing back the two

                          So, Kai/Sky are considered...."interim champs"?

I wonder if the match even ends clean. My fantasy booking:

We see the usual Pearce/security running around backstage, maybe even in the crowd, and people think its Dexter again (regardless if he's still in jail or not). When the coast is clear, we see two people come from the crowd and attack the soon to be winners in Kai/Sky which results in the match thrown out. They reveal themselves as Sasha/Naomi and take the titles with them (an alternative to your "explain why it took so long to have the tournament" is that maybe Sasha and Naomi took the titles back with them when they walked out).

So now you go on with the 6 woman tag match, with Sasha/Naomi ready to feud with Kai/Sky right after that. I think the next show is extreme rules? Could see some sort of gimmick match between those 4 for the titles (ladder match?).

It would be interesting though to see if they could make Sasha/Naomi the faces in this whole thing seeing how Bayleys team are heels. Sasha/Naomi coming in as the anti authority good guys who stood up to "the man" and now that regime is gone.

Kurt Angle could come down to the ring in his 80s in a wheelchair and it still won't not be fun to hear everyone chant "you suck".

Rollins went there with Riddle... I mean Matt Riddle. Triple H even hated the removal of first names that Vince always did for some reason lol.

In Riddles case, it was more because of things that had nothing to do with WWE which is why they did it.
