The video from last night got booed at a house show. We are in for a treat!

Last night was just The Rock's effect. Rock music hits, you cheer... now that they realize it has cost Cody Rhodes, **** him. Boo him out of the building!

I dunno, if this type of thing happened 10 years ago I could see the crowd hijacking it, but I'm not sure if I trust the 2024 WWE fan to actually go through with that at WM. They seem to just go along with everything WWE does right now. Maybe because it's in Philly you can get some negativity lol.

I don't know man. They going pretty effing hard online right now! Rock posted something earlier about UFC. Got ratio'd to hell and apparently so bad he took it down and tried to post it again only to get ratio'd into oblivion again [emoji23]

Same thing with HHH or anything being posted by WWE. EVERY comment is something about wanting Cody/Roman or straight pissing on the Rock

They are definitely making a statement and having their voices heard

Its just really stupid. A week ago you had Cody win the Rumble and point to Reigns to tell him he's coming for him. He has been talking about finishing the story for the whole year. Even Michael Cole talks about it. And he just (presumably) hands his main event spot to the Rock. It comes across as really stupid. Maybe it will work out. I have my doubts.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

I just watched Smackdown, only saw the highlights of what happened with Cody and that entire segment. I also caught up on RAW from this past week too, So here's my thoughts....

            - Feels like a lot of fans are coming around on the idea that TKO/The Rock overruled Triple H's creative plans and after watching both RAW & SD, I think that is exactly what happened. On RAW, Punk cuts a promo about missing Mania, Drew comes out and continues his great heel run, even attacking CM Punk. Clearly, Drew is being built up to face Rollins at Mania for the WHC. Drew attacks Punk setting up Punk's return feud with Drew who likely will be WHC when he returns.

            - Drew beats Sami Zayn in the main event, keeping Drew strong for his eventual Chamber win and match with Rollins. RAW ends with the idea that Drew is being positioned to face Rollins. In a matter of just 4 days, the decision is made to do Rock vs Roman and Cody just steps aside? Hell, the way Roman buried the WHC and everything Seth said on RAW, you could have convinced me they were setting up a Triple Threat with Cody, Seth & Roman.

            - Now it's sorry Drew, but Rock wants to fight Roman and he's on the board of TKO, so we have to give your title match to Cody. Drew is being screwed out of a title match and title run completely, at least Cody will still fight for the title.

            - I saw something on Fightful where after the Vince fiasco, losing Brock and Punk getting injured that the idea is Rock thinks he's saving Wrestlemania by facing Roman. Rock is trying to save something that doesn't need saving. It tells me he doesn't watch the product nor does anyone at TKO watch the product. This should be worrying to us fans because if TKO can just override Triple H's creative plans in just 4 days, that doesn't bode well for the long term.

            - Triple H's creative has been the reason WWE's been on this hot streak these past few years. If TKO can't see that, then how much longer will Hunter want to be in WWE himself if TKO/The Rock will just override his booking on a whim?

They made Cody look like the biggest idiot in the world. "I'm going to take the title from you, just not at Wrestlemania." Again, you can't tell me these were the plans before the Rumble. We had the staredown between Cody & Roman on Smackdown a few months ago, Cody won the Rumble, pointing at Roman in the skybox says everything was heading toward Cody/Roman II.

In 4 days, all that build up Triple H was doing for the past year.... gone.

The Rock joining the board and immediately starts rewriting storylines to benefit himself. Really. That’s what we’re rolling with as the likely reality?

Alright, I tracked this one down. It's from PWInsider, not Fightful.

While WWE had been expertly building to a Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns rematch, some sources believe it was done by Johnson to, as one source stated, “save Wrestlemania” after CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, for very different reasons, were taken off the board from the biggest weekend of the year.
Some sources believe something that one person phrased as Rock 'saving' WrestleMania.

Those words mean nothing. Too much indecisive language - don't believe it without something more substantial.

                  The internet community is stupid.

As dumb as the decision is, just keep it at this point. Changing **** to appease will just make things worse and worse.

If they're gonna do this ****, they should have had Rock poke and prod Cody for a few weeks and they should have had a match with the title shot on the line at EC then have it spin off that way. I don't know. Or just don't do it at all. Could have done that, then Rock costs Cody at Wrestlemania for revenge, to protect the family, join the Bloodline etc and then have the family blow up for good between now and Summerslam and do Rock and Roman for Summerslam.

Only problem is, again, not pulling the trigger with Cody. When would you do it in that instance.

Just don't ****in do this at all. So dumb.

What the hell is Rock trying to save? Both nights are sold out with only limited tickets left after WWE production sets up. Rock has a bruised ego. So stupid and my hype is down. Screw TKO and The Rock for stepping in and overruling HHH for all this work for the last year and half.

Can't wait for the revisionist history from WWE how this was always the plan and done to garner more support for Cody.

The story all along has been for Cody to be the first Royal Rumble three-peat next year and take the title off Reigns at WM 41

They can still save face, especially if they were only setting up another loss (which is entirely possible with Hogan's reign 'record' in sight).

Have Roman beat Rock clean - I think the crowd will still be pro - Rock at 'Mania - while Cody beats Rollins, but loses the belt to Priest the RAW after Mania.

Then have Cody win the MITB briefcase and cash - in on Roman at SummerSlam in September.

Cody garners further sympathy and can use the angle that the 'powers that be' don't want a Rhodes as WWE champion.

Honestly at this point this is probably the best possible scenario. I'd say have Cody announce his cash in ahead of time too so he comes across even more like a babyface.

Are we buying the stories that the ending of Smackdown was all a ploy by Cody & Rock? Done to throw Roman off his game and ensure no Bloodline interference at WM, so it will still be Cody vs. Roman with Rock as special referee.

Rock keeps referencing the "long game" so I mean, the above would certainly play into that and add a great layer to the ensuing Rock and Roman feud.

I could very well be grasping at straws, just hoping that the long build for Cody isn't tossed aside.

That particular story feels like a stretch. But I do still feel it’s something else. Either a triple threat or Roman works double duty. Cody v Seth just doesn’t have juice imo. Seth v Gunther or Seth v Drew feels like the match to me.
