Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
They really need a new version, the current title just doesn't look right on him or certain other guys. The current design takes up half his torso when he wears it and he looks like a little kid with it on. And don't get me started on the velcroComment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
It's definitely harder to put on a title solo than if you have someone fastening it for you. Velcro style you can do it on your own, but like I said, a magnetic one might be better to get the straps to close.
The design is the interesting part because you figured they'd have changed it once Cody won, but would they really just change it after the fact? Like if/when he gets drafted to Smackdown, does he debut the new title once he goes there? Do we see the title debut in France?Comment

Smackdown tag belts are infinitely better than Raw tag belts.Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
I like the look of the Raw one, just wonder why they went for a giant circle if the SD design was more like the old tag title shape.
Could've modeled the Raw ones more like the old world tag title shape
But at the same time, if the only "issue" with the title is the shape, that's fine because the design is good at least.
Though now I'm wondering if the WWE title stays on Raw (it probably won't since the women's and tag titles are called world titles while the smackdown ones are called wwe titles), maybe the WWE title follows a similar shape design as the world tag titles and we wind up with

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
Gunther is back tonight. Wonder what the plans could be for him.
Going after the US or IC title just seems like a waste.
Don't see him in the WHC picture anytime soon since Priest is champ and I imagine McIntyre/Punk will take over that scene in the summer.
All that leaves is a feud with Cody? Either that or if they happen to have some non title feud in store (maybe Imperium vs Lashley/Street Profits?)Comment

All I know is no matter where Gunther goes, Samantha Irvin needs to follow. If he stays on RAW, she stays on RAW. If he goes to Smackdown, she goes to Smackdown.Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
Makes most sense for Gunther going after Cody but that likely requires him on SD.
Wherever Imperium goes, Tiffany is going too (she's dating Kaiser).
Imperium and Chelsea Green should have stipulations where Samantha goes where they go.Comment

The thing is, they just did that swap last year, would they really do it again?

Assuming this is the only Draft, I imagine they will Draft the rosters how they want them to be for when RAW goes to Netflix in January. Also as you said, this requires him being on Smackdown but whose to say Cody won't go to RAW while Priest takes the WHC to Smackdown? If this is the only draft then you want your top story and top champion on RAW for Netflix. Cody and the Bloodline go to RAW, with Rhea not having the Women's World Championship you can now send the whole Judgment Day to Smackdown along with Imperium. Gunther can stay on RAW, if Cody faces Rock or does a rematch with Roman at Summerslam, that still sets up Gunther to challenge Cody at Bash at Berlin. Or he can challenge Drew or Priest if he's on Smackdown for the WHC, either way Gunther needs to be fighting for a World Title at that show.
Then you just move the whole WHC feud over to Smackdown. Punk, Drew, Rollins(when he returns), basically just swap the brands the feuds have been on.Last edited by UFCMPunk; 04-22-2024, 06:56 PM.Comment

They could easily switch up everything, but I'd imagine for now they're keeping the WWE tag titles, WWE Womens title, WWE title on one show, and world tag titles, women's world title, and world Heavyweight title on one show.
We could easily see Judgment Day and Awesome Truth go to SD along with whoever wins tonight for the Women's match, and Cody "stays" on Raw while Bayley and ATDU go to Raw.Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
Priest: We went out for drinks after. I don't remember much else about that night, but I remember I paid the bill because you wanted that Bloodline good stuff.
Jey: I took an uber.
WWE making up with Owens family would probably be more shocking than Bret coming back. But HHH has been able to mend fences with people Vince was never able to (Bruno I think is the biggest example), so you never know...Comment

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread
Triple H would be the last person I would expect to mend the fences between Martha Hart & WWE. Again, as you said it could have been just she had issues with Vince and perhaps they did come to a deal that we don't know about... yet but still pretty shocking. If they did come to an agreement then another benefit of AEW being around. Would WWE look to mend fences with Martha if AEW didn't bring her in and do the Owen Hart Tournaments and what not? Either way, it's great to see Owen back on WWE TV again.Comment

Though, they can't sell Owen merch, but are they even allowed showing him without her permission? Maybe that's all it was, just showing him in past clips. Don't know if there's any restrictions on that. When they showed WM highlights on tv before they do show the WM10 match, and when showing the slammys, they do show that time he won 2 slammys, so I'd imagine they can show clips of him on Raw/SD.Last edited by Majingir; 04-22-2024, 09:54 PM.Comment
