He was the most important figure in wrestling history, TBH, but also a **** person. He was never really contrite about his disgusting comments & never truly tried to make amends, IMO.

He - like Kane - will always have an important place in my love of pro wrestling. But, both completely suck *** as human beings.

    RIP Hulk Hogan

Edit: My brother mentioned this segment to me - I had no recollection of it at all.

I completely forgot about the WM with Titus.

I have 0 memory of the segment with Wyatt.

Only Hogan memory I have in the more recent years outside of the NWO induction was him at a HOF and New Day sitting front row and just sitting down the entire time not acknowledging him.

Summerslam is this weekend and it doesn't feel like it at all. And definitely doesn't feel like a 2 night event either.

Every PLE just feels so "generic" in terms of the hype because every one follows the same model of advertising. Just doing aerial shots of the city while you run down the list of sponsors and matches and sponsors, and do that multiple times a show every single show.

Maybe it's nostalgia, but the mid 00s until early 10s probably did the best job at hyping up summerslams and really making it feel like a big time summer event.

I think it’s because there’s a PLE or some other “special” event every two weeks. There’s no time to build anything. On paper the matches all seem fine but there hasn’t been time to really get excited about any of it.

They redid the Hogan tribute video for Raw.

I said it before, wrestling lost one of its souls.

This one from a historic standpoint really hits differently. It's not a premature death that we're so used to in wrestling, and it happens to one of the biggest names ever, something that we're also not used to seeing when it comes to wrestling deaths.

Even if we only see Hogan on TV once in a while and past few appearances have been awkward and controversial, it's still sad realizing we're not seeing it again.

Heyman tells Jey that Roman Reigns chose Solo as the next tribal chief over Jey.......

When did that happen? Sure, Solo became the next tribal chief, but wasn't that just because Reigns lost and "disappeared" (aka went on vacation)? He never named a successor? And not like he would've made Jey the tribal chief since Jey wasn't even part of the Bloodline at that point.

Am I misremembering, or did they never actually explain how/why Solo became the tribal chief after Reigns lost at WM and where Roman went for all those months and why he just sat back and let everything happen

Taking Seth out of the picture was the best thing possible for Reed and Breakker. That was an awesome closing segment.

Nah, you're right. Solo just claimed Tribal Chief status after Reigns lost at Mania.

With as many Bloodline segments as there were, at some point they probably made some kind of reference to Solo taking over (same for Jey and Jimmy) if they really wanted to justify it, but there wasn't an official coronation or anything.

That's what I wondered about the whole thing.

They never explained where Roman went, how Solo got the ula fala, why Roman never tried stopping Solo during any of this, why Roman never spoke to Heyman during the entire thing and why Heyman lied saying he was talking with Roman.

Punk's promo was stupid. Gunther can't back it up? They even said TONIGHT that he's held gold for 80 percent of his time in the company or on the main roster or whatever. What a joke. Gunther eats pieces of **** like Punk for breakfast.

Barely feeling any of this. What a shame.

Aerial shots of a stadium, beatdowns, suicide dives, devils kisses don't make a ****ing feud or a build. How many times do we need to see XYZ beat down ABC. How the **** does that do anything new? Why did Rhea and Io not exhibit any psychological tensions during their match? They're ****ing fighting for a so-called "major title" in 5 days! Dumb! And then they have a backstage segment. OK cool Io "Rhea has never beat her and won't ever beat her." Yeah wonderful interesting feud there.

Even on the Kross stuff, as awesome as it's been it's never really been defined much. It's all vague just like what the "Shield" was "shielding" from.

Just stinks. I feel like the main shows audience doesn't demand or even want elaborate content and it allows them to skate. I don't know who's behind these decisions and omissions and lack of diving into things further than 5 percent below the surface but I don't think it's Triple H. But he's content director so....

So they officially flushed that whole story haha. Unless it's a ruse and someone helps Cena at summerslam.

So does this mean we are officially getting back together with Cena after he broke up with us earlier? So now that both are baby faces as of Smackdown, this definitely feels like a Rollins cash in is coming. Or, Cena is tricking everyone and he does a heelish thing to still win. Or........... did Cody empty out all that adrenaline in his soul in order to give it away?

They should have flipped the opening and closing segments. Why end on Orton/Jelly Roll & Drew/Logan when ending with a Cena face turn would have been so much better.

Cathy dare uttering the F word with Charlotte and Alexa?!

Speaking of which, Alexa getting Charlotte to break during that. This is the duo that should never end.

This has to he setting up something. Either that, or Cena isn't happy that Rock and Travis bailed on the story and just wants to go out on his own terms.

I hope it is a rouse or else it'll make the last few months seem pointless.
