A lifetime of watching wrestling tells me it was just setting up a ruthless beatdown of Cody on Sunday, but I guess we can't rule out the possibility that they figured it was worth sacrificing one awkward Smackdown segment to cut their losses on a heel turn that wasn't working and get back to a face Cena.

Would be awesome if they had Cody win tomorrow, Cena gets a mic after the match gets all contrite and apologetic, has his turn back face, and then Cody goes for the handshake and pulls him in and turns the same way Cena did.

Come on Cole, I know kayfabe is dead but outright saying on commentary that you asked Triple H and Nick Khan about when the deal to bring Brock back happened is a bit much. Maybe they had him say it because they knew it would be controversial but still. Save that stuff for Unreal or another documentary.

Cena appearing on SD this Friday. Next question is, does Lesnar show up too? On one hand, a Montreal crowd could be one of the more hostile for someone who has reasons for them to be booed, but on the other hand, its in Canada and those are the shows Lesnar does more often now for obvious travel/no clearing customs reasons.

So unless we are getting Roman vs Seth at Clash In Paris, I imagine that's it for Roman so he can go film Street Fighter... just like the RAW after Mania lol. Once again, the Tribal Thief steals Roman's shoes, so the Men's War Game match seems to be getting set up between Seth's group and Punk, Roman, LA Knight and Jey who was nowhere to be seen tonight surprisingly.

This is Cenas final time in Canada based on the retirement tour schedule?

Cena getting cheered out of the building in Canada, this feels like Hogan all over again when he turned face at WM and his first segment after that where he brought back the red and yellow was also in Montreal.

Cena vs Logan? So Lesnar isn't facing Cena until Australia? Meaning Cena only has Survivor Series left for an opponent before his final PLE?

Thankfully Charlotte and Alexa aren't friends or else that party/festival would've been about friendship....

As I said a couple years ago after Sami vs Roman, I will do what it takes to travel to Montreal for the next PLE. That crowd going nuclear whenever Sami's music hits is incredible.

Olympic Stadium can hold over 60K, whether it's Sami winning King of The Ring and going to Summerslam for a World Title or winning the Rumble to get to Wrestlemania, you could build it around Sami finally winning the big one at Olympic Stadium.
