Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

Are they going to give The Rock the Rumble win despite all these Cody Rhodes recovery hype videos for his return? I feel like there's no way anyone but Cody is going to win with these weekly updates on him which would build to his return at the Rumble. It would be dumb to do all these weekly updates and throw it all away for The Rock to win the Rumble.

Seeing Dominik dressed up as a vato was hilarious. That might have been the most memorable thing about RAW this week. And him telling everyone how his experience in jail went. This Dominik is more entertaining than the babyface version. I'm not sure how to feel about the rest of RAW though. I do feel like Triple H's booking has been lackluster lately. Like I am not fully engaged into the shows as much as I would want to. The matches were okay. I do noticed that Solo Sokoa is getting some very strong protective booking. Ziggler made him look great in their match. Baron Corbin reminded us that he's the only one to win Roman Reigns in the last 3 years is wild. I enjoyed the Alexa Bliss promo. The tag team turmoil was whatever to me. Didn't Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin break up like months ago? How were they in this match? Judgment Day being put over is fine though as they needed this victory more than ever. Can they please take the RAW Tag Team Titles away from the Usos please?

Cole: Rey Mysterio won the royal rumble back in 2006.

          Me: I remember that.

Kross: Rey won the Rumble...17 years ago!

          Me: 17!?

Saying a year doesn't sound like so long ago. Realizing that year was 15+ years ago is insane.

          Also....Liv.

Liv: Raquel, for what it's worth, I got my palm read today. You see this line here?

          *Raquel leans in*

          *Liv slaps Raquel*

I guess they are getting ready to split the tag titles up... Pearce said Judgement Day won a shot at the RAW Tag Titles when they survived the gauntlet... then last night Pearce said a tournament will be held to determine who will challenge for the SD Tag Titles.

Have to wonder how they will do it with Roman and splitting up the WWE and Universal Championship.

Could've sworn I heard Barrett say the winner of the rumble faces the Undisputed Universal Champ.

But interesting if they have the Usos lose one or both titles/split up the titles again.

He did. And splitting up either of those would be dumb.

The draft is rumored to be happening post WM, so we'll see what they have in store for the titles. If HHH is running creative, we could see a different brand split rather than the "nobody can leave their brands...except during the quarterly superstar crossover...and other random times just because". So would they have separate world or tag titles again, or just let the champ appear on any show (which does emphasize the value of being champ).

Raw30 featuring an "Acknowledgement Ceremony" with all generations of the Bloodline present.

This is basically the family reunion I fantasy booked to get The Rock to appear.

Imagine the final moment of Raw30 being The Rock interrupting that whole thing, which sets him up to win the rumble.

Bruh Dominik becoming Prison Mike is the best possible thing that could have happened for him and us. This has been gold.

Not sure how many people are willing to take those nasty bumps (salute to Tozawa), but keep booking Bronson like that, Triple H.

The Rock doesn't need the Rumble to challenge for either title, Maj.

Plus, with his age, wear and tear plus commitments in Hollywood it wouldn't make any sense to risk him injuring himself at the Rumble.

Cody's return at the rumble announced.

You have to imagine that they'd only announce this because there's an even bigger surprise at the rumble coming.

Him returning at the rumble was the worst kept secret, so at least they'd announce it.

And MVP bringing back Omos in the middle of all the hints towards the Hurt Business returning. But despite that, Cedric/Shelton lose again and last week we saw Lashley say he wasn't going to do it.

Could we see the Hurt Business return but different? Either Shelton or Cedric "kicked out" during the groups reunion in favor of Omos?

Lashley, Omos and either Benjamin or Cedric?

If/when the Mania match sucks, I don’t want to see any of you Rock vs Reigns superfans complaining about it.
