That ring announcer is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Yeah, but that first half was good enough that we’ll overlook the rest. I don’t know if it was planned like this the whole time or they just decided to reschedule it, but I think we could’ve cut like 5 minutes off the six-man tag and the entire Bianca-Sonya match and fit the cage match in. Oh well.

I’m gonna pretend that show was 90 minutes long. Which honestly is most Mondays at this point.

Yeah, weird show. But you're never going to fill 3 hours with all good stuff. They front-loaded the show, which is the ratings formula they've been using forever now.

Best moment for me was Triple H going face-to-face with Gunther then instantly backing down. His comic timing is worth him being on TV as often as possible, even as head of creative and non-wrestler.

Apparently the Bloodline segment with Sami went too long, other segments had to be trimmed and Bayley vs Becky were the ones really impacted by it. So either it was a 2 minute match or just an angle, and they went with an angle to keep the feud going. Fans were upset about the lack of Women Legends, and how they weren't really mentioned in the RAW history.

Someone on Reddit posted a video of the Bellas being upset about not being mentioned, and how WWE was ignoring Women, ignoring Sasha(even though they showed Sasha winning a Championship in the video), etc. You could have cut the DX Segment out, they had the whole 25 year celebration last year so no need for another one. You didn't need Charlotte there with her Dad or the whole Bianca/Sonya match. Like cut out Charlotte/Bianca/Sonya segment and give it to Bayley & Becky.

Bellas got mentioned by Charlotte, didn't they? They'll be fine. Bloodline didn't run long either, it's a hot story and none of that dragged. DX can stay as-is too, they were funny.

Drop a few minutes from the six-man, ditch the Bianca/Sonya match entirely (because nobody really gives a **** about Sonya Deville at this point), have Becky enter during that commercial break instead of waiting 3 minutes. There, they gain 20 minutes for the match.

On the plus side for Bayley and Becky maybe they can build it up even more, similar to how they dropped Rollins and Riddle from Summerslam and then made the feud hotter.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

RAW is XXX was an okay show overall. Started how with the Bloodline segment which was very great stuff. Everyone played their part well here as both video highlights of Sami's highs and lows really helped to make you be on his side. Then the tag team Title match against the Judgment Day with Sami being inserted into the match was genius too. Great first hour here. That Becky/Bayley Cage Match was a cop out. I was shocked to see it not really happen. So much work to get the cage there only for it to not really happen.

It was nice to see ABA Undertaker out there. He didn't need to do much so it was cool to see him throw LA Knight onto Bray Wyatt to deliver the Sister Abigail on Knight. I laughed a little at the DX segment featuring Kurt Angle. These guys look so old now though. And the more they appear, the more its not fresh to see them again. Missing Billy Gunn too. Was nice to hear Teddy Long make the 6 man tag team match but he mostly made those announcements on Smackdown, not RAW. Wasn't Charlotte mad at her father last time we saw them onscreen? That was random to have her be on the show. Bianca vs Sonya was a lengthy match but it was okay. Sonya is good at her role. Lastly, the main event match was decent. Lesnar and his easy paycheck appearances. Comes out, delivers F5. Smiles. Leaves. Austin Theory retains the US Title but Lesnar's run-in protects everyone. The show ended abruptly. They must have ran out of time.

As disappointed as it was to not have the steel cage match, do you think it was ending clean anyways?

The positive here is that Bayley vs Becky is still fresh. We haven't gotten tired of seeing them competing against each other because it hasn't really happened much.

Maybe this is a WM match, or elimination chamber, but their eventual actual clean 1 on 1 match will seem better/more original than just repeating half a match they did weeks prior.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

I really just can't do three-hour tv shows, two really is the sweet spot

Enjoyed the way they used most of the legends, not overly involved, but involved enough.

Extremely disappointed that we didn't get at least 10 minutes of Becky/Bayley before WWE decided to WWE it up, aside from seeing which Legends appeared it was the one thing I was really looking forward to, and once again WWE is making me feel stupid for tuning in to watch wrestling.

The tag match was so hype, genuinely didn't really know which way they were gonna take it, and really enjoyed every single second of it. Part of me wants the Usos to just take a year off WWE to see them around the world, not because I don't want other tag teams in WWE, just because there's so many tag teams I want to see them against.

I enjoyed the Imperium/DX stuff, and while Rollins/Gunther is on the list of matches I want to see, I kind of wish the heels had gone over, unlikely sure because it's anniversary show and the faces need wins, but the dominance of Gunther/Imperium is easily one of my favorite things going right now.

It felt like a few things live felt rushed, and it sounds like a few people didn't hit their times which is what led to the very strange and abrupt end, but it kind of felt fitting. Overall not a bad Raw, but think I'll go back to catching clips and replays of matches I want to see.

I don't want to derail the topic with Sasha talk, but I find it hilarious that this is the sentiment running the internet today after the Bella's comments on the internet from the IWC. Sasha was a huge part of the initial Women's Revolution along with Paige and it's typical, petty WWE mess that makes me question if there was any Vince input there to leave Paige out completely from being acknowledged and Sasha to have a single clip of an aerial shot of one of her championship wins where she isn't even the focus of the shot. As someone that works in television media it was a very deliberate choice to use that shot for Sasha's acknowledgement. If you were going to limit her inclusion in the celebration to a single clip they could have easily I don't know, used her very first main roster title win that provided significantly better shots of her to do it if the object wasn't to be petty. It took me 2 seconds to find a better shot for her. Also the Bellas were scheduled and advertised to be at Raw, but they chose not to attend once they found out WWE wasn't going to acknowledge Paige and Sasha Banks for the Women's Revolution. But it is what it is.

I was entertained by the show last night, just had to address that.

Raw 30 with a very nostalgic 1st hour viewership number of 2.6M. Damn.

                                Miz forgets his lines lol.

Miz: There is nothing more dangerous than me with a......something on my shoulder.

                                Woods: A chip maybe?

That tag title tournament decision just feels like they realizes they booked themselves into a corner with Imperium or LDF in the finals against a team like Hit Row.

You already have Imperium vs LDF in the semis (heel vs heel team) and can't have that kind of match again in the finals.

Brawling Brutes vs one of those two teams should've been the finals.
