    Re: WWE 2k15 Attributes Thread

Hey Steven. I think another way of making matches longer is by increasing the durability of the wrestlers. I've actually been experimenting with maxing out wrestler's durability ratings (only for main eventers like Cena and Bryan) and have gotten some decent 10-15 minute matches (using your ratings).

I've also been putting the A.I. reversal sliders down to maybe 1 or 2 so that way wrestlers will be able to work a match without completely dominating the match and have been experimenting by putting everyone's strike and grapple speed the same (according to their weight class, ex. Super Heavyweights are at 40, Heavyweights at 60, Light Heavyweights at 80 and Cruiserweights at 100 and Divas same as Light Heavyweights with the exception of Tamina who I put the same as a Heavyweight) so that way it could be a toss up to who will be able to strike first (Orton pun not intended).

These are just some suggestions I've been trying out. I hope they help.

Thanks. Are you putting ALL CPU Reversal sliders at 1-2 clicks? Or can you share your slider set? And when you say strike and grapple speed the same, you mean everyone has the exact same rating?

            Re: WWE 2k15 Attributes Thread

I have a current single slider set, however I should note that I think there might be a need to use multiple slider sets depending on who is wrestling and what type of match you're playing. For instance, Big Show vs. Mark Henry isn't going to have a lot of reversals compared to a match between CM Punk and Shawn Michaels so you might have to increase the AI reversal sliders for Punk/Michaels or lower those sliders for Show/Henry. It's just a theory I've had for the past few years and while I hate that idea it does make the matches look more realistic.

My current slider set is as follows as I like to call it my Root Set:

Difficulty: Normal (Legend gives jobbers too much offense and Hard makes the match look more like New Japan or ROH)

            BALANCE 1
            AI Standing Strike Reversals: 3
            AI Standing Grapple Reversals: 4
AI Ground Strike Reversals: 0 (I've never seen a wrestler in real life reverse a ground strike)
            AI Ground Grapple Reversals: 4
            AI Finisher Reversal: 15
AI Foreign Attack Object: 5 (Rarely if ever do wrestlers counter with the animations the game offers so I might actually lower this further)
Finisher Strength: 10 (Finisher strength actually is fairly good imo)
            Foreign Object Strength: 12
Chain Duration: 1 (3 if you have Punk, Bryan, Michaels, etc. in your match)

            BALANCE 2
Standing Strike Reversals: 1 (Irrelevant as this is for HUM controlled wrestlers, but there in case you want to play HUM vs. CPU)
Standing Grapple Reversals: 2 (Irrelevant as this is for HUM controlled wrestlers, but there in case you want to play HUM vs. CPU)
Ground Strike Reversals: 0 (Irrelevant as this is for HUM controlled wrestlers, but there in case you want to play HUM vs. CPU)
Ground Grapple Reversals: 2 (Irrelevant as this is for HUM controlled wrestlers, but there in case you want to play HUM vs. CPU)
Finisher Reversals: 13 (Irrelevant as this is for HUM controlled wrestlers, but there in case you want to play HUM vs. CPU)
Foreign Object Reversals: 6 (Irrelevant as this is for HUM controlled wrestlers, but there in case you want to play HUM vs. CPU)
            Stamina Cost: 9
Stamina Recovery: 12 (This helps matches go a little bit longer)

Again, this is a root base set as I'll adjust them according to what match is going on. I understand if not everyone wants to adopt that method, but I find that it helps with realism.

As for strike and grapple speed, I have everyone in the same weight class at the same speed ratings...although the more I think about it, I might adjust it to make heels be a little bit faster so that they might be able to work the match, but I don't know if that'll mean if the babyfaces will get an opportunity to come back. That might be something to think about.

Yea...i have seen an unrealistic amount of reversals. I even created a "jobber" with every rating at 1, and still saw reversals. Another weird thing, I was testing a match so I had both wrestlers on USER control (hum vs hum). I was the only one playing....and get this...no one was controlling the other wrestler but he still reversed moves! The reversals seem to happen every 3-4 moves, making the game slightly pre-determined!

LOL! Shoulder Joint tear...also known as 'Glenoid Labrum Tear'...(yeah..you brought out the 'nerdiness'!)...That sucks man...Did your physician diagnose your 'tear' as SLAP lesion or Bankart lesion, out of curiousity...In either case, hope you get better soon man...

In regards to reversals...yeah man...As I think back and look at gameplay from back in the day with Smackdown:Here Comes the Pain, I realized that 'reversals' on Legend (any level below was a 'cake walk' back in the day) always kept things interesting in HUM-CPU gameplay (and for the most part as well in CPU-CPU gameplay). But the key was that the 'main eventer' would always put the smackdown on the 'jobber'. Although you would see the CPU make a good number of reversals. But the amount of time and winner would be quite predictable, but not in a boring way in that you would see Brock absolutely DESTROY Hurricane the 'jobbers' from back in that day...

Now for WWE 2K15...I feel that you and vtcrb have now gotten the game to reach a level where these results are achieved. Yeah...would be awesome to see less reversals from the CPU in AI matches or CPU-HUM matches...BUT atleast their is a noticeable separation between the superstars based on your match results and feedback...

Once Med School slows down (LOL!!! Slows down...who the heck am I kidding...) I will definitely twitch stream and share the link here for our OS community to see based on you and vtcrb's edits and sliders.

In any case...props to you both on the work and time you have put in to get the game to this level! #Respect #SimNation

I absolutely agree with your proposal and findings and think this may be the case for ALOT of our sports games. I am starting to see that slider sets cannot be considered universal across the board and may need adjusting based on a team your facing (or in this case wrestler) to get a more 'realistic'/'sim' experience.

                @vtcrb -

My friend...this may also apply to NBA 2K15...It is VERY coincidental that @lknpk16 brought this up b/c I was thinking the same thing with NBA 2K15! I'm going to go on a quick tangent here my friends...so please forgive me...LOL! So for instance, if you have the Grizzlies, who are an interior-focused team. If you put POE at Feed the Post and also the Feed the Post slider to 75 or higher, then you can get that interior-focused strategy. But for more perimeter oriented teams, like the 'Splash Brothers' .... can set the POE to shoot at will ... Feed the Post less than 50 or something like that (random number) ... you will get more perimeter play...But for the most part...I feel like 2K seems to not be able to address getting interior play of the 'stars' more consistent or getting the necessary amount of touches....I digress and I'm in the wrong forum, but wanted to get your thoughts.

In any case, this is a great suggestion from our friend, @lknpk16! But it will be a HUGE amount of work with getting sliders adjusted based on matchups! LOL!

Wont go into NBA2k15, but we(myself and Sellaz) have figured out How to make the Star Players standout. If you were on Xbox it would be so much easier. LOL. We can talk about it later.

Now back to WWE 2k15. I am constantly Updating my Attribute thread so let me know how those are working. Alot of tweaks I am sure still need to be made.

I feel like I'm being ignored, but I'd like new ratings for JBL, Booker T, Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, The Rock, and Stone Cold.

                    Please.

Do you want classic rock or current rock and i think it was u using my hbk stats i might be doing same re rates for him as well if u want them and how are those stats for him working.

PS Are you using what steve rates the other wrestlers cause i use them but with adjustments to my liking.

I use Steves re-rates and yes I am using your HBK. He puts on good matches so I have no problem with your ratings. As for Rocky, in the game it's current Rock so that's how you should rate him.

Are you using his new ratings or old ratings cause he has changed them a bit.

So you want current rock his ratings would be close to triple H. So you dont want classic rock cause his ratings would be close to SCSA.

Might have same ratings up tomorrow cause watching the nrl at the moment.

I'm using some of his newer updates, and it really doesn't matter what you make Rock's rating as long as it's close to Steves edits and he puts on good matches.

                              - Changes in Orange and Green (Green were the previous ones)

Updated Bray Wyatt to Main Eventer
Raised Undertakers stats (not sure why I had his so low)
Making adjustments based on recent findings.

Hi ryan i was just up to updating the stamina attributes but now since steve put out same new edits i have to put them in and start updating again.

But at the moment i have rock at overall 83 and have tested same matches with him and SCSA rock won both. SCSA at 86.

So i might have them up tomorrow or later to night if things dont get busy.
