I didn't go into Universe mode on 2k15 as I really didn't like the game at all, but this one is so much better I've gone all-out on one for this year.

6 brands:
Raw on Mondays (current WWE superstars only, with the WWE Title and Intercontinental title on the show)
WCW Tuesday Nitro (with the big gold belt and WCW US titles available)
NXT on Wednesdays (NXT title only on this brand)
Smackdown on Thursdays (attitude-era main eventers competing for the title belt from that era, and all-era tag teams competing for Tag Title belts only for this brand)
ECW on Fridays (ECW and Television titles for this brand).
Plus a women's only show for Saturdays.

I've split the PPVs up on the whole - Raw and Smackdown get 6 a year (joint Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble), NxT have one every three months, WCW 6 a year and ECW will have one every two/three months as well.

I've hit the creation centre hard for CAWs to make up the numbers (including indy-wrestlers on ECW and NxT too), but pretty pleased with how it's looking so far - just have to finish setting up the PPVs for each month on the game and I'm good to go.

Got a spreadsheet to keep track of win-loss records over a year, I'm going to have a King of the Ring style tournament every year featuring the top guys from each brand - the first winner receives an Undisputed World Title belt - then every year after that the winner of the King of the Ring tournament fights for the Undisputed World Title at Summerslam.

At least this is all the plan - not sure how well it will all work out once it gets going/the time it will take. Might eventually type up a dynasty type thread like a few on here do, they look great - but it's all time dependant. May have to cut down on some of the shows after a little while if it's taking too much time though!

Can someone explain Universe Mode to someone brand new to the game? I know we can set are own rivalries, events etc, that's pretty much the gist, correct? Is there a way to just start from scratch, with who holds what titles, vacant titles etc? Thanks!

There are a good amount of options for you to set up Universe however you want. If you go into the calendar section you can edit what shows are on each day and select which belts you want to be used. You also select which wrestlers you want on each show.

You can create tag teams and stables in the edit team section. Edit titles allows you to just select who you want to have the title without having to have a match first. If there are belts that are not assigned to a show you can vacate them. When you add a belt to a show you are required to assign a champion.

EDIT: I'm beginning to post the first episode, but I am limited to the speed of YouTube uploading the videos. I'll update this thread when all of the matches are uploaded.

Can you seriously not edit an entire match card before hand? That's ridiculous.

Wasn't around for 2K15, and early apologies if I missed it, but I cannot find out a way to edit the matches. The game just sets them all up in advance and the only changes I can make are right before each match, but then after I make the changes, I have to jump right in? I just want to set the entire card, similiar to how "Create-a-PPV" used to be.

Any help?

Never mind. I figured out my issue. I really shouldn't be trying to set up a Universe while tired as hell and on the verge of passing out asleep with controller still in hand, lol.

Can anyone give me a good idea of how often cut scenes trigger in Universe, i.e run-ins etc ?

Does it only happen with Rivalries ? If you have no Rivalries setup does it still happen at all, rarely or often?

Also if you have Rivalries turned off is everything pretty much random or will people still get in feuds and things like that?

I ask because I am considering getting this game but have always found in the past that hardly any cutscenes pop up and when they do there are only a couple that seem constantly repeated.I don't really have time or the desire to do my own write ups etc and just want to play the game.

I've been following this thread but it's hard to get a clear picture of what is happening with this years Universe. The last version I got was I think 3 years ago on the PS3.

So I finally set up my Universe last night.

Raw is War and Monday Night Nitro.

I have the World Heavyweight belt for both shows. But each show represents their own belt (WWE/WCW)

I simmed a few months, and I had Brock Lesnar winning the Money in the bank.

Next month, he fueds with Sycho Sid (who is the Heavyweight Champion). At SummerSlam, he's in the main event fighting Sid for the Heavyweight belt. The match before, John Cena and Bret Hart were fighting for the WWE belt.

As soon as Cena beat Hart, Brock's music comes in. He cashes in his MITB and beats Cena for the WWE belt! Then afterwards proceeds to beat Sid for the World Heavyweight Championship!!

Brock managed to win both belts in 1 PPV! I thought that was the coolest setup I've ever played in. Definitely seemed something that the WWE would come up with.

When setting up a show, Let's say Raw is there a limit on number of matches I can have? Like if I wanted to set up a mega raw show with 10 matches could I do so?

No, most you can do is 7. But you can have up to 6 shows a week, plus the PPV on Sunday.

That's ace. Did you have Brock down as appearing on both shows, for him to do this? Or is the MITB only applicable to the WWE belt, and not a WCW belt say, even if the MITB was a WCW PPV in your universe? Hope this question makes sense ha
