I like reading this thread to get an idea of how i want to run my universe mode. Only difficulty im having is deciding if i should turn contendership off for certain guys.

For example leaving someone like Ziggler in contendership for both Main title and Mid title opens up more fueds & better matches.

My contenders for the Main title are

AJ/Bray/Dean/Dolph/Orton/Cena

But it gets kind of boring knowing these guys are going to be facing each other week after week.

Just want to hear opinions on Contenderships & how you guys have yours set up

I usually put them in divisions, but I also book everything completely on my own and pay little to no attention to rankings at all.

I don't think the ranking system has ever been that great and usually makes no sense as to who they have at top contender and in contenders matches.

Heck now that I think about it I might turn off contendership for everyone this year and see what happens.

The only step I take is turning off the lower belt for the true main eventers.
For example Brock and Seth are not eligible for the US title. Then the other guys who are currently in the main event picture get temporarily removed from lower titles, but that is a rotation.

On Smackdown Cesaro won his feud to push him into title contention, so I removed him from the IC Belt. But in his stead I put DB back in that mix.
So on each show there is usually 4 or so guys not eligible for the US/IC belt.

I wanted Main Event to mean something, so I turned it into an cross-brand show with Undisputed Titles.

CWC is a separate show. I use ROH for call-ups and development for NXT and of course NXT for Raw and Smackdown.

Occasionally I'll have someone come back for a short time, like The Rock, Goldberg, Sting, Stone Cold, etc. I don't put them on the match card, I just add them to the roster and let the game handle it until I'm ready for them to retire again. It seems to do a good job of only allowing the older wrestlers to have one or two matches per month.

I'm really enjoying the game this year!

I have no problems simming the extra matches. It really got to me today when I had things set up and it wouldn't even run my matches properly.

Like I said I had a 6-woman battle royal where only 4 women were in the match and it wouldn't end because the other two were never eliminated. Then I had Emma and Naomi (who weren't the two that didn't show up in the previous match) show up in a match between Ryder and Corbin and then Emma showed up in my US Championship Match and was even introduced.

Then I had a manager show up in multiple matches after the US Championship Match and then in my Main Event I had Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose who were in the tag match prior to it appear in the beginning of the match and participate.

Literally can't play the Universe because it changes my matches and puts random people in matches after it is booked. Didn't do it for the PPV but it did it for RAW for some reason.

Might try NXT tomorrow night.

My problem is I just got to a Smackdown PPV in may, and I booked my matches that I had built up to and of course it added 4 matches to the end of the card all for titles and all no dq style matches. If I sin then and my champion loses the belt then I'm screwed up. It's making me not want to play honestly.

My problem is I just got to a Smackdown PPV in may, and I booked my matches that I had built up to and of course it added 4 matches to the end of the card all for titles and all no dq style matches. If I sin then and my champion loses the belt then I'm screwed up. It's making me not want to play honestly.

A little workaround that I found is to go to Superstars, make a change so that the game has to save, then go back into the match card screen and the game will change the card. Do that until you find a card you like lol.

Just put the belt back on the guy you want.

But the patch should just fix anything.

i just finished MITB, and there is an interesting situation on Raw, Seth Rollins left MITB with the Universal championship, but has to worry because the man who walked out with the briefcase is the Beast Brock Lesnar... I am tempted to try and have Seth hold the title until Brock can cash in on him at Mania to return the favour

I will get RAW up tomorrow with the first part of my draft.

I'm still working out some things with placing peopel on rosters and really stuck on my mid/low card numbers and tag teams. Looking for a few more CAWs without going completely overboard on numbers this year.

I do have a couple of ideas for some new tag teams as well but still working out a few things.

Starting a 1997-98 WCW Universe and need some suggestion on which title to use. US Championship or the WCW Cruiserweight title. Can't decide on which one to use. Can't have both. So only 1 can be use.

Depends what type of caws you can find. If there are not a lot of wcw cruisers out there I'd go US
