Rebuilding the Big Red Machine -- OOTP9

I decided to forego the rest of my Reds MLB The Show dynasty due to the lack of interaction by the AI with the PS2 version.

I have decided to use OOTP9 and it will also allow me to use players that did not come with the rosters for The Show.

This is starting in the spring of 2008.

Re: Rebuilding the Big Red Machine -- OOTP9

Cincinnati, OH - The Cincinnati Reds today announced the hiring of George Anderson (not THE George Anderson) as the new GM/Manager of the ball club.

"The club is in need of an overhaul so don't be surprised of what may come up between now and the trade deadline at the end of July", the new GM stated.

As we head into the last week of Spring Training, here is what I believe will be the starting lineup on opening day:

    1. Patterson, cf
    2. Keppinger, ss
    3. Griffey, rf
    4. Phillips, 2b
    5. Dunn, lf
    6. Encarnacion, 3b
    7. Hatteberg, 1b
    8. Valentin, c

Rookie Joey Votto will be sharing time at 1b with Scott Hatteberg but I feel that he will eventually be taking the full-time starting job.

Catcher Paul Bako will also be the eventual starting catcher with Valentin being a valuable switch hitter off the bench.

Aaron Harang is being tagged as the opening day starter on March 31 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The rest of the starters will be Bronson Arroyo, Edinson Volquez, Josh Fogg and rookie Johnny Cueto.

New closer Francisco Cordero was brought in over the winter to fix the problem that the team had in 2007 with closing out games in the late innings.
