The South Side Stories | My Time as the White Sox GM

    Introduction

In 2012, Jerry Reinsdorf, Kenny Williams and co. were looking for an explosive year with their MLB roster, only, that wasnt the case. The ChiSox finished dead last in the American League at a measly 65-97 record, with the second worst record in the MLB, tied with the New York Mets. At the end of the season, Reinsdorf wasted no time canning Williams, as Reinsdorf was "Furious" with the performance by the recent performance.

After all of this, Jerry Reinsdorf has decided to hire rookie GM Matt Burkart. Burkart will have a huge task to get the South Side rolling again, and this thread will show you, the reader, how he does.

Sorry about restarting again, but i found interest doing it this way, starting in the 2013 season as well as moving the Astros to the AL West.

White Sox GM makes early personnel move

      Paul Casella | MLB.com

Chicago, IL -- Only a couple of days has past, and new GM Matt Burkart has already made a big move involving the coaching staff at the MLB level. The White Sox have fired Bench Coach Mark Parent, moved Manager Robin Ventura to fill the Bench Coach role, and signed retired manager Joe Torre to a 2yr/500K deal to be the new White Sox Manager.

Joe Torre is the type of manager who has a lot of experience managing a great team, and is undeniably a first-ballot Hall of Famer. I saw him available, and I just couldn't hesitate at this oportunity. Robin [Ventura] is a great guy, and I respect him 100%, but this was strictly a business move. The player's are going to love this chance to play under one of the best managers in the history of Major League Baseball, so let's get this year going! I'm out, peace.

Well, despite the fact that I'm a huge Royals fan, I suppose I can bring myself to follow this.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil
