PLAYOFF UPDATE
(All records are from Sept 25th with 4 games left in the season)

The Washington Nationals (88-70) have taken over 1st place in the the NL East as they are currently riding a 13 game winning streak with their last loss back on Sept 7th. Now with 4 games left in the season, they have a 2 game lead on the Atlanta Braves (86-78) who had lost 6 in a row before winning their past 3.
The NL East is the only division in which a winner has yet to be crowned.
The Toronto Blue Jays (91-69), Kansas City Royals (84-74), Seattle Mariners (97-61), Cincinnati Reds (90-68), and Colorado Rockies (95-64) have all clinched their divisions.

With the Nat's taking over the East from the Braves, the N.L. Wild Card, has gotten even more crazy..
Currently the L.A. Dodgers (88-71) hold on to the #1 spot well the Braves are tied with the San Diego Padres (86-72), with the St Louis Cardinals a 0.5 GB at (86-73)
The A.L. Wild Card however is very much less drama filled. The Baltimore Orioles (85-73) have looked to staked claim on the #1 spot with a 4 game lead on the Texas Rangers (81-77)
The New York Yankees are the surprise team here, as they have won 4 straight and 8 of their past 10 games to pull to .500 at (79-79) and are currently 2 games back of the Rangers for the #2 spot, but it's very unlikely that Texas will drop 3 of their next 4 games at Oakland combined with the Yankees sweeping the Red Sox to end the year.
