    Wojo Rising - CH2K8

    Wojo Leaves Duke For Dartmouth

Steve Wojciechowski made his mark in a Duke uniform and learned the coaching trade from one of the greatest of all time. What will his intensity bring to a team that hasn't been to the dance in almost 50 years? Hopefully a winning tradition.

Not to mention... Will he ever go back to Duke?

I'd rather see him use the actual schedule and then the schedules given to him by the scheduler, myself. It makes it a lot easier and less taxing to try to schedule games without being a burden to either school as far as number of games as well as when they are played and how many for a particular week, etc..
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a soldier.

Personally I love the option of editing the schedule. It give you the ability to create rivalaries with teams that the game doesn't reconize. For my WSU legacy I am playing Idaho every year which wouldn't happen if I went with the computer schedule as well as Eastern Washington and Gonzaga.

At UC Davis I have now played UCLA both years and have upset them both years turning it into a very heated rivalary.

I don't blame him for not scheduling Duke his 1st year without any of his recruits, but would love to see a future matchup.

The Duke match-up will begin as an early season 'tune-up' for the Devils in the 2008-09 season.

If the Big Green can prove themselves over the next few seasons it will allow them to invite Duke to play AT Dartmouth. As of now, there is no decent base of quality basketball coming out of "Da Mouth".

I am with you guys though... That and I forgot to schedule it

Went ahead and re-started and put Duke on my schedule. Since I hadn't played any games yet or anything and I really wanted to play them... I figured, why not?

                Will update schedule soon.

Not sure if you have been following my "Fab 5" legacy with UC Davis, but I am thought I would throw out the inventation for you to join along. I am having guys from the boards create prospects that I will try and recruit to UC Davis to join the "Fab 5" but also plan on updating their play no matter what school they sign at throught their 3-4 years. Then I am going to make a NBA thread in which I will announce where they sign and what not.

So far we have 10 guys with prospects. 8 that will start playing this next season and 2 that are joining the recruiting class.

If you want in. I need your players Name/Height/Pos/City and State/Skin color and hair if you want as well as 3 positives attributes and 3 negative attributes about the player. If you want to include a small bio about the player like what high school you played for and high school success that's cool too.

Just send me a PM with all the info. I am going to start my new season on Tues so that is when I would need the info by.

Chisick Dominates Small Air Force Squad, Big Green Win Opener
                      64 (1-0)
                      47 (0-1)

It wasn't exactly what the Air Force faithful expected... The Hangar Invitational in Colorado Springs was supposed to be an opportunity for the Falcons to open the season with a tourney win. It turned into a showcase for Dartmouth's 7 ft Freshman, Matt Chisick.

Chisick scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as he went 9-14 from the field and hit 4/5 free throws. He had a 5 inch advantage over Air Force's 6'7" Center, Phillip Brown and took advantage.

The Big Green lead 31-23 at halftime and never looked back as they continued to dominate the Falcons in every facet of the game.

                      Next Game -
                      Northern Colorado (1-0)

Nice opening round win. Now go out and take out N. Colorado and earn the valueable coaching attribute for winning the non-conference tourney.

By the way I see you are starting your legacy in the 2007-2008 season so are you using the that roster set or playing with the new roster set.

Dartmouth Dominates First Half, Wins Tourney
                          77 (2-0)
                          32 (1-1)

OK, so maybe the 'lowly' Big Green aren't so lowly. Granted they were playing a pretty terrible Northern Colorado squad... but wow!

After taking a 45-13 lead into halftime the game was pretty much over. Coach Wojo allowed his bench to play most of the second half as he tried to keep his team from running up the score.

Junior SF, Alex Barnett hit 5 three pointers in the first half and finished the game with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Not to be outdone, Matt Chisick finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.

Every Dartmouth player saw at least 6 minutes of play time. They had better not lose focus with a tough three game stretch coming up against James Madison, Rutgers and Duke.

Thanks! It was one heck of a great experience to actually have my team perform up to snuf with a tourney on the line. I have a feeling the next month of Non-Conference games will really help us get ready for the Ivy League... No Conference Tourney means we will have to depend on our season performance to get into the dance.

I am rolling with the original roster file... Figured it would be a little easier for me to just get this thing started.

Chisick and Mosley Push Dartmouth To Victory
                              64 (3-0)
                              43 (0-2)

Following a 29-26 lead at halftime, the Big Green started the second half with a 14-0 run and held on to the lead as the Dukes were unable to combat the inside/outside attack of Chisick and Mosley.

Mosley finished with 20 points on 5/11 from behind the arc and Chisick continued his inside dominance with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block.

"Matt (Chisick) has really pulled through for us here early in the season. I see no reason why he shouldn't control the paint in virtually any game this season. With the exception of Duke and Rutgers there aren't a lot of big men that can match up with him."
