Re: A CH2k8 Coach Legacy - The Life and Times of Tyrell Coley

      Week of December 3-December 9, 2010
      AT
      Binghamton (4-3) at Colgate (3-6)
      Cotterell Court - Hamilton, NY
      December 5, 2010

Colgate came out the game on fire, hitting 8-of-10 threes in the first half to take a commanding 41-24 lead at halftime. The Raiders decided to slow down the tempo even more than they had already done in the first half, and it almost cost them the game. Binghamton made a furious comeback that would have been complete if SG Moussa Camara's 3 with 1.1 seconds to go hadn't clanked off the rim. Colgate grabbed the rebound and escaped with a 55-53 victory at Cotterell Court.

      Team Stats......Colgate...Binghamton
      Field Goals.......21-55.....22-51
      3-Pointers........10-22.....1-9
      Free Throws.....3-6........8-14
      Rebounds.........37.........27
      Assists/TO.......18/7.......16/2

      Colgate Key Players
      Chad Johnson: 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3P), 3 assists
      Brandon James: 13 points (5-15 FG, 3-6 3P)
      Mitch Rolls: 9 points (3-6 3P), 5 assists
Nick Pascale: 9 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists

      Binghamton Key Players
Taylor Johnston: 10 points, 10 rebounds
Robert Mansell: 9 points, 6 rebounds

      Next Week's Schedule
No Games Scheduled (Next Game: 12/18 at Syracuse (6-2) )

      Coach's Comments:
"I'm glad we got the win, we played well enough in the first half to avoid losing it all in the second - though we did come close. We shot well, but I still want our guys to be aggressive, we can't settle for jumpers when they aren't falling. We've got a big game coming on December 18th at Syracuse, so we've got a lot of time to practice and prepare."

Thanks, I appreciate it. I like to keep things realistic when I play (I used to get pissed in NBA Live 07 when the PG would always score 30-50 points no matter what team you played), so I'm glad that CH2k8 is such a great game in that aspect. I only wish I had picked this game up earlier.

Just a side note about the season so far: Outside of beating Binghamton, the other 3 opponents Colgate beat have 4 combined wins.

Hofstra is 1-7, Dartmouth is 2-6, and Cornell is 1-5. The next opponent I play with 2 wins or less is Maine (currently 2-7). In fact, they're the only team left on the schedule with 2 wins or less.

Hopefully you can get Colgate on a winning streak. I know I have had my own share of struggles with BSU this last year and this year in Non-Conference play, but seem to get it turned around when it comes to playing teams from the WAC.

I hope I can too. Using Colgate is tough for me because I'm used to having so big guys in the middle, and with the Raiders I only have 3 players taller than 6'6". It does give me something to work on and I like that things aren't a cake walk. I'm hoping to go into conference play with at least a .500 record and some momentum, I know at least Bucknell and Lafayette will be trouble.

Yessir in my legacy I beat 3 ranked teams with Bucknell (#21 Villanova, #23 Marquette and #2 Michigan)... might be 4 because my next game is vs. #9 UCLA in O'Reilly CBE Classic Final

I have some unfortunate news. Last night, I was going through my sim legacy that I have alongside this one. Well, apparently I fell asleep at the wheel (it was around 1am when I was playing), and at some point afterwards I saved over this legacy (I sleep wild + controller in the bed = fail). So I'm going to start the legacy over again in a new thread. Sucks I know.
