Re: NBA: A New Decade of Players (CAP)

NEWARK, -- We're back and as promised, we will be giving you a first hand look at the best Centers in this draft pick. Unfortunately, the best is a relative term and in this draft, best doesn't mean much in terms of centers. We only have three centers predicted for the first round and neither of those centers even make it to the lottery.

Firstly we have Chase Baysdell, the center from Duke stands at 7 foot and 300 pounds. While his stock was originally in the lottery, the fact that he failed to impress in the Draft Combine has greatly lowered teams interests in this player. Even teams who needed a big man like Chase Baysdell aren't that interested in him. We've compared him to Andrew Bogut and hey, you never know, he might be the surprise in this season, the Wesley Matthews if you will. The man dominates the pain in more ways than one and doesn't allow anybody to drive in while he's there so he's a solid center thats for sure. He's everything you need in a center, low post offense, rebounds, inside shots, but some were expecting a bit more it seems. Maybe he'll make it to the lottery, maybe he won't we don't think he will, his best bet is Phoenix because Dallas and New Orleans are already satisfied with Tyson Chandler and Emeka Okafor respectively.

Michael Jameson comes next, the 7 foot 1 center is 260 lbs, Raptors scouted him intensively and the original speculation has lowered down. It looks like the only thing he can do is defend on the inside which could be good if you already have scorers on your team. This is something a squad like Atlanta could benefit from. So we might see him go there, you never know. Then we have Dante Dailey from Notre Dame, the 7 foot tall, 244 lbs center has comparisons to Andrea Bargnani, in other words, he's better off as a power forward, and not a starting power forward at that. We don't see him doing anything notable in the NBA, maybe he'll play a back up center, but he's not going to be big.

That's all for the centers folks, next up we have the Power Forwards, the Small Forwards will follow that next and then the most star-packed position, the Shooting Guards.

Re: NBA: A New Decade of Players (CAP)

NEWARK, -- And then came the Power Forwards, there's three power forwards going into the lottery, but only one of those Power Forwards make the top five on our list so let's get down to it.

Barely making it into the top five is the 6 foot 10, 260 pounder from Syracuse, Matthew Tram. This Yao Ming look alike draws comparison's to Los Angeles Lakers forward, Pau Gasol. Of course, we don't really agree with that. The man can't shoot the ball to save his life but dominates the inside like there's no tomorrow. In fact, you could compare him to Baysdell, except in a smaller body and that's probably why he has a higher rating then Baysdell. He can dominate the power forwards he'll face off against, guys like Bosh, Nowitzki, Bargnani, guys that like to shoot the ball will see the ball going the opposite way while Baysdell, despite his shot blocking ability will likely end up a Dwight Howard or Blake Griffin by season's end. Will see how this man performs during the season, now the question comes, what team will he perform with? We're guaranteeing you guys are going to see him in Indiana Pacers and he should be perfectly content with that. Matthew will have no competition unless Pacers make some signings. And even if they do, with Hibbert injured, he'll still get a lot of playing time. Expect to see Tram in Pacers and with so much playing time, expect to see him as a stand out rookie.

At the twelfth pick we have Beau Allen from Florida States. The 6 foot 11, 235 pounder is actually pretty thin but he gets comparisons to Amar'e Stoudamire... we disagree again. We see him as a Pau Gasol type player, that european big man style of play. Those guys who can shoot that mid-range, but still get it inside the net. He'll probably have to gain some weight to really compete with the other big man in the league and he'll definitely have to start grabbing those rebounds and improving that defense before now he'll do as an offensive power forward. We see him going to New Orleans, they have two great big mans in David West and Emeka Okafor, to great defensive minded big mans, with one of them, coincidentally the power forward, having an expiring contract. If Beau can have a breakthrough season, improve on his defense then Hornets will not need to resign West who would likely want a big contract and is already breaking through the 30's. Instead they'll have this bigger power forward who can already do some great things on the offensive side of the court, has a small contract, loads of potential and would probably have become a decent defender by then. Unlike the point guards, the power forwards definitely have some spots to fill this season.

Finally we have Grant Russell who managed to make it as a possible lottery pick. The young power forward from Providence is 6 foot 9 and 236 pounds, he formerly played with Xavier Rochwell so if a team can get these two together, they could definitely have some chemistry. He's not going to do much in the league unfortunately, he'll likely get drafted by the Mavericks and do some bench warming duty for their superstar, Dirk Nowitzki. Of course this is a great man to learn from so it might not be that bad. We have Abe Watkins from Baylor at that spot too, a carbon copy of Grant Russell, and he'll be the only Power Forward in the first round post lottery.

We're getting closer to the draft people. Can you feel the excitement?

Re: NBA: A New Decade of Players (CAP)

NEWARK, -- Next up are the Small Forwards, none of them make the top five but four of them are in the lottery with 3 others making it through to the first round.

First up we have the 8th pick, the 6 foot 7 star, weighing in at 250 lbs from Ohio State, Bob Murphy. This man carries an odd look about him but you can't deny the talent. He can definitely score the ball and if you're down by two or three with five seconds left in the game, you can definitely get the ball to him and he'll score for you. His ball handling skills are pretty good too and he can collect those rebounds as well. The thing that's lacking from his game is defense, he is one of, if not the worst defender in the lottery and if he doesn't improve that, well, he'll be getting dominated in a league with the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Luol Deng... need I go on? We see him going to the 76ers and playing back up to Andre Iguodala, maybe Iggy can teach him how to guard a guy. Plus, that's good for Bob Murphy, thats one less Small Forward who can dominate him on the offense.

After him comes the 6 foot 9, 230 lbs from North Carolina,Jaden Mutonji. Who do we compare him, to Kevin Durant. He will score on you no matter what, especially on the inside, you stop him from going in, fadeaway in your face. You leave him open on the perimeter, three pointer in your eye. This guy will score on you, he will dunk on you, he will dominate you in every way possible on the inside. By the way, Bob Murphy here's another guy who's going to completely destroy on the offense. This guy doesn't have amazing defense but he can play defense nonetheless so you might see this man taking Bob's spot as the top small forward, you never know. He'll be going to the Philadelphia 76ers to play with Bob Murphy and Iguodala, how it'll work, we don't know. Chances are one of the two will get traded away from the Sixers to a team lacking in that position. If he doesn't go there, he could go to Clippers where there's a real lack of Small Forwards and will greatly shine there.

Next we have Johnny Best, he has the same size as Bob Murphy only 10 pounds smaller. This forward from UNLV isn't really an offensive player, sure he'll finish at the rim and he'll completely destroy you with his dunking ability but he'll be easy to guard. Simply leave him open anywhere beside the paint and he'll choke... bad. Of course, his defense is spectacular, he won't get the steal but you won't get past him either, Bob Murphy, good luck scoring on this guy! This is a guy with a lot of ups and downs but we see him going to the Utah Jazz. Kirlenko is going past his time and Best could overtake that position if he rounds out his game a little bit more.

Hunter Wagner played with Bob Murphy at Ohio State and has the same mindset as his player, score, score, oh and more scoring. Of course, he's the best finisher on the inside in the draft, he will NOT miss in the inside. Bob Murphy could very well be seeing his old friend dunking on him any time they get to meet each other. Of course it could be the other way around considering Wagner has no defense whatsoever either. It's also possible that these two end up together if Philly opt to drafting the two guys which would make for an offensively packed team.

Morris Goodson, Rob Jeter, Kevin Payton will be playing second fiddle to those four future stars and will likely be the left over after the Lottery's done. Nothing to really see here.

Finally, we have the shooting guard where one of the three stars will end up as our number one pick for this NBA draft.

Re: NBA: A New Decade of Players (CAP)

NEWARK, -- Finally, the best guys in the draft are in this position. There are 10 shooting guards who will likely make it to the first round, 3 of those shooting guards in the lottery, two of those shooting guards in the top, one of those shooting guards is our number one pick.

The one who didn't make the top five is Keenan Marshall, the 6 foot 5, 2 hundred and 7 pounder from Hawaii just didn't have what it took. He's one if not the best pure shooter in the league, we compare him to Ray Allen with how many shots he can get in. If you want that Ray Allen type all-star then well... here he is. Other than his amazing shooting, he's a great on-ball defender and some other sources consider him the best in the draft. We believe he needs to stop focusing on that shooting and improve his overall game. Either way, we have him going to the Washington Wizards, they could probably use a pure blooded shooter like this man but he'll have to wage war with Nick Young for the starting position and everybody knows Young can score as well.

The man we have at the third pick of the draft, he's 6 foot 6 and weights in at 205 pounds, from Hong Kong, Gabriel Yu-Law. This man can dominate on the inside as well and while he can't shoot from the outside, he's the exact opposite next to the rim, he'll do some pretty amazing things if you let him. His ball handling is pretty average but his game is focused around his offense and that's what makes him stand out in the first place, his offense, if this man can learn how to shoot behind the arc, and if he can learn how to become a better defender then you have yourself a good shooting guard here. We don't see him going to Toronto Raptors, he's definitely not going to compete with DeRozan, we see him going to the Charlotte Bobcats. He could overtake the shooting guard position from Gerald Henderson and put up a run for Rookie of the Year if he gets his touches.

Finally, the number one pick of the NBA draft or at least who WE believe will be going number one, from Providence, he weights in at 6 foot 4 and 198 lbs Xavier Rochwell. This man can shoot and has a well rounded scoring ability, he won't score much three's but he can definitely do some damage. His inside abilities aren't the best but again, they're solid. What makes him stand out isn't his particular skill in one ability but the fact that he is so well rounded, and he can do what you need him to do at a certain position although, despite him being our number one pick, we actually don't see him becoming a superstar. We see him as your Ron Artest, that player that will help you take that next step to the championship, he won't lead the squad but he'll make you guys that next step. New Jersey will take the next step with this guy, imagine the line-up of Deron Williams, Xavier Rochwell/Jordan Crawford, Damion James, Brook Lopez, thats four great starters, a sixth man and all they'd need is a good power forward.

That's our draft analysis which means that next up is the actual NBA draft who will make it through, will there be trades, upsets, disappointments? Tune in to see.

Notes: I could've had Kevin Garnett or Matthew Tram for Ed Davis but I decided against having an old veteran and having three potential stars is just too much.

lol, Jake White would've been back up too John Wall if they hadn't made that trade, at least now you have a chance of taking over Mo Williams spot.
