Re: Coaching Legacy of Wes Abercrombie (CH2k8)

That is what I was thinking, but I will see in the next couple of games how I fare. I am going to tinker with some sliders to see if I can get more realistic scores in the 10 minutes.

Binghamton Pulls Out Close Win in Chicago

      Coach's Corner

"That was really a struggle both offensively and defensively. We were really lucky that they missed as many shots as we did. Both teams were getting good looks, but really couldn't knock anything down.
When it comes later in the season, we aren't going to have the luxury of playing this poorly and getting a win. Where are we going to get our scoring from when our guards struggle? We had a little glimpse of that tonight, but we need to become more consistent on both areas offensively. We need to have someone that can score down low and then some others that can make a few jumpers."

        Coach's Corner

"Wow, did that really come down to the wire. We thought we were going to have a more comfortable ending to the game than that. We had the lead but we turned it over a few times and missed a few free-throws. I think that we will learn from this game and any close endings will be much better executed than what you just saw right there.
Our big men really stepped up today. They had some quality post players and we were able to match them shot for shot, rebound for rebound. All of the these games on the road will really teach our team how to play in tough environments and get us ready for conference play here in a few weeks. These games are invaluable."

Tried out the sliders that were in the forum for the last game. I gave a few advantages to the CPU to see if they could score a few more points and it turned out pretty good. May tinker with them for the next game against Akron but they feel pretty good. Solid flow to the games.

Binghamton Overmatched on the Road at Akron

            Coach's Corner

"That was a lesson learned for our team. We didn't play with the fire and intensity that we had the past four games and it showed tonight on the scoreboard. They outplayed us in every facet of the game and didn't give us a chance to come back at all.
They kept hitting shot after shot, and I really felt our team was overwhelmed by the crowd and the atmosphere. I think this will help down the line, but it is really tough for our guys right now. They had a great mindset coming off the four victories to begin the year, but I think they got a little complacent over the past few days. They listened to their peers a little bit too much about how well they were playing and being unbeaten.
Right now we have to get back in the gym and get some tough practices out of the way. It will be nice to get back home after this road trip."

Even with the slider change I may increase the halves by 2 minutes. Still contemplating. We will see how the next game goes.

An easy way to look at it is college teams usually attempt 60-70 shots per team per game. If your FGA total for both teams is in the 120-140 range, you should be good to go.
