Following along man. Celts are a rival, but I've always been interested in how Rondo's career would progress, hope you keep this up for long enough to find out!

      *BREAKING NEWS*
CELTICS SHIP AWAY AVERY BRADLEY TO PHILADELPHIA

Late Thursday night Celtics GM Danny Ainge was taking phone calls from around the league on the young, defensive ace Avery Bradley. Well a deal came up that he just couldn't resist.

The Celtics traded Avery Bradley and 2013 1st round draft pick to Philadelphia for Jrue Holiday Thursday night.

Celtic fans were shocked when they awoke to the news Friday morning. Avery Bradley was solid for the Celtics this season as he provided a great spark off the bench. Reports were coming out of the lockeroom that he wanted a bigger role, and the Celtics just didn't have enough minutes for him.

"In order to play and contend for a championship you have to be willing to sacrafice some of your personal wants for the better of the team," said GM Danny Ainge. "Avery couldn't do that, so we had to make moves."

Jrue Holiday has already said that he is willing to take a sixth man role to help this team strive for the ultimate goal; which is a championship. Holiday is averaging 13.5 points and 6.3 assists this season on a Philadelphia team that is stuck in neutral so far.

"I'm excited to get started with this storied franchise," said Holiday. "It reminds me of my days when I was playing at UCLA. When I used to put on that uniform I knew I wasn't just playing a game, but I was playing to carry on the history of that school. That is what I feel like I get to do here in Boston."

Holiday will be in uniform and ready to play against the Knicks Saturday night.

This northeastern rivalry heats up tonight. The Celtics are coming off a loss to the Raptors, but the addition of Jrue Holiday should provide more scoring for Boston. The Knicks are struggling this year, but you can never count yourself out when you have Carmelo Anthony.

Wowza at that trade. That won't go over too well in Philadelphia. Those top six guys for you are downright dirty now though.

Yeah I'm liking the roster I have now, because if Ray Allen decides to retire after this season, I'm going to use Jrue Holiday as my SG for the future. I see a Chris Paul/Chauncey Billups tandem developing with Rondo and Holiday.

CELTICS MAKE KNICKS LOOK SILLY IN BLOWOUT WIN
NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 22: Rajon Rondo #9 of the Boston Celtics drives for a shot attempt against Toney Douglas #23 of the New York Knicks in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals in the 2011 NBA Playoffs on April 22, 2011 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. <br />

NEW YORK -- The Celtics came to New York looking win, and that's exactly what they got when they blew out the Knicks 99-82 Saturday night.

The Celtics must have gotten the message against the Raptors about slow starts, because they got off to a red hot start against the Knicks. It all started with their air-tight defense, which then fed into their transition game which got points on the board. After the 1st quarter the Celtics led 33-14.

The 2nd and 3rd quarter were an exact replica of the 1st quarter. Boston would stretch their lead to as much as 30 points at some moments during the game.

Jrue Holiday had an oustanding debut for the Celtics. He led Boston in scoring with 21 points off the bench. He was also 3-3 from the 3 point line.

"I came in and felt right at home," said Holiday. "It just felt like this offense was made for me to thrive in."

Once confused Celtic fans after the trade, they were now applauding Danny Ainge in their living rooms as they watched the Celtics obliterate the Knicks.

New York tried to make a comeback in the 4th quarter, but the deficit was just too much to overcome.

With this loss they drop to a dissapointing record of 7-16.

"It makes no sense why a team with so much talent has such a poor record," said an unhappy Carmelo Anthony after the game. "I didn't come to New York to lose games. I came here to win a championship, but it doesn't look like that will be happening."

Boston will travel back home for a quick home game against the Magic Sunday night. Last time these two teams met they provided the fans with the game of the year in Orlando.

                  *BREAKING NEWS*
MARCUS CAMBY ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT, EFFECTIVE AT SEASON'S END

It was a sad day for the NBA as Marcus Camby announced that this season will be his last. Camby has been known throughout his career as an intimidator in the paint; blocking shots and grabbing rebounds at a very high rate.

Camby ranks 12th all-time in career blocks, and is 1 shy of passing Alozno Mourning for 11th. If he keeps up his pace he will most likely pass Robert Parish as well into 10th place all-time. Camby is also a former defensive player of the year in 2007 when he won it as a member of the Denver Nuggets.

"It was fun while it lasted," said Camby at a press conference where he made the announcement. "My body just can't take the rigors of another NBA season. I'm glad that I will have one last chance to win a title before I leave his game. I know we can get it done this year, and I only have extra motivation to go out in style now."

The last time these two team met Paul Pierce hit a buzzer beater to send the Celtics home victorious 86-84. The Magic have fallen off of lately, and the Celtics have been surging. Rajon Rondo's comments about the Magic earlier this season seem to be more and more true.
