            Fairfield Recruiting

            Name: DeAngelo Dudley
            Position: Center
            Height: 7'0"
            Weight: 255 lbs
            Hometown: Waterbury, CT
            Ranking: 2 Star
Notes: Led team in scoring and rebounding as a senior. Career high is 14 blocks in a game. Always the first player off the bus. Needs to improve shooting touch. Once got a cat out of a tree for a neighbor.

            Name: Deki Joneliunas
            Position: Power Forward
            Height: 6'8"
            Weight: 235 lbs
            Hometown: Lithuania
            Ranking: 3 Star
Notes: Stretch 4 that could fit perfectly into Beilein's scheme. More comfortable playing on the perimeter than the interior. Is learning English from teammate Vaidotas Ritter. Lived in a tree house for one week as a 13-year old. Career high is 33 points in one game.

            Name: Vaidotas Ritter
            Position: Power Forward
            Height: 6'10"
            Weight: 242 lbs
            Hometown: Lithuania
Notes: Former teammate of fellow recruit Deki Joneliunas. Once had four girlfriends at a time. Plans on majoring in Lithuanian. Back-to-the-basket player needs to become a better shooter. Can't find Connecticut on a map. Once made 7 half court shots in row, in practice.

Although you didn't make it to the NCAAs, congrats on a successful season nonetheless. Hopefully your new recruits can help strengthen your front court going forward.

Fairfield University Season 2 Roster Breakdown

                BACKCOURT

                3 Jonathan Han PG 6-0 165 SR 70 OVR
                15 Herbie Allen SG 5-11 172 SR 64 OVR
                11 Lyndon Jordan PG 6-2 189 SO 62 OVR
                1 Devin Johnson SG 6-7 187 JR 62 OVR
                33 Rob Sisca PG 6-5 190 rJR 62 OVR

Jonathan Han is our captain and one of our leaders. He doesn't score a ton, but he does everything else well. Herbie Allen is very inconsistent. Lyndon Jordan is surprisingly strong for his size. Devin Johnson is 6-7 and has a 40 inch vertical. Rob Sisca has worked very hard and may have earned a spot in our rotation.

                FRONTCOURT

                4 Yorel Hawkins 6-6 190 SO 68 OVR
                25 Deki Joneliunas 6-9 240 FR 68 OVR
                44 Greg Nero 6-7 219 JR 67 OVR
                22 Jason Kyle 6-9 208 SO 65 OVR
                20 Sean Grzeck 6-7 199 SO 61 OVR
                51 Vaidotas Ritter 6-11 249 FR 49 OVR

Yorel Hawkins is an all around great player. He is also only a sophomore, so he has room to grow. Deki Joneliunas has played well in scrimmages so far. He can shoot it for a big. Greg Nero is just plain gritty. He gets loose balls he shouldn't get. Jason Kyle is looking to add more to his game than just 3-point shooting. Sean Grzeck is a flexible guy that can play the three or the four. Vaidotas Ritter hopes to contribute, but I think he will be redshirted.

                PIVOT

                32 Anthony Johnson 6-8 240 JR 67 OVR
                41 Mike Evanovich 6-10 225 rJR 59 OVR
                42 DeAngelo Dudley 7-1 260 FR 54 OVR

Anthony Johnson is very athletic at the pivot. He is very quick off his feet. Mike Evanovich has worked on his jump shot so that Coach Beilein doesn't cringe everytime he shoots it. DeAngelo Dudley is a huge body that could work well on screen and rolls.

I was just catching up on this thread and read the notes about the recruits and that was some funny stuff. I don't know if anyone else read that far into the post but it legit made me laugh out loud. Props.

I know have NCAA bball fever with the conference tournaments going on so I'm hoping to see an NCAA tourney run from the stags this season. Good luck!!
