I use the Sim-World 30-team in progress because that's the best sim stats i've ever gotten. However, the hassle to make sure the contracts may be annoying, and the POT scale to me is a little low so i boost up certain players anywhere from 2-5 POT points. Sliders I use YAK's edit to sliders and coaching that he created for the rosters, and DC i use the Sim-World 2013 (i edited some players) and Sapp/Dreece fictional DCs (very nice check em out).

        Southwest Division
        11/30/13

        Teams

        W-L: 9-5
        Division Standing: 2nd
        Conference Standing: 7th
        Injuries: none
        Best Player: Mike Conley
Exceeding Expectation: Mike Conley and Marc Gasol
        Underwhelming Player(s): none
Season Direction: The Memphis Grizzlies started an impressive 7-0, but the lost five in a row due to many hurt players on the bench. They have beat the Nets and Bulls in the last two games, but they aren't out of the clear because Quincy Pondexter, Darrell Arthur, and Ed Davis are still playing hurt. The Grizzlies are 19th in offense with 94.9 PPG, but are the best defense in the league, only allowing 83.5 OPPG. They have the biggest PD with 11.4.

        W-L: 7-9
        Division Standing: 4th
        Conference Standing: 11th
        Injuries: none
        Best Player: Anthony Davis
        Exceeding Expectation: none
        Underwhelming Player(s): Al-Farouq Aminu
Season Direction: The Hornets have played one of the hardest schedules so far. Their defense has been able to hold up, only allowing 94.9 OPPG and ranking 10th in the league. However, their offense lacks talent, and Gordon is disgruntled, knowing and wanting that there is a great chance that he will be traded this season. The offense is only scoring 92.3 PPG, which is 23rd in the league.

        W-L: 12-2
        Division Standing:
        1st
        Conference Standing: 2nd
        Injuries: none
        Best Player: Dwight Howard
        Exceeding Expectation: none
        Underwhelming Player(s): none
Season Direction: The Mavericks are currently the second best team in the league. The offense is 12th, putting up 97.8 PPG. Their defense is stellar right now, allowing only 88.8 OPPG. This ranks them at the third place of all teams. One of the reasons their offense is so good is their ability to be super efficient. The game of Mayo, Nowitzki, and Howard, has been very good, andy the hit their fields goals at 48.8 FG%, which is also second in the league.

        W-L: 9-6
        Division Standing: 3rd
        Conference Standing: 8th
        Injuries: none
        Best Player: James Harden
        Exceeding Expectation: Thomas Robinson
        Underwhelming Player(s): J.J. Hickson
Season Direction: The Rockets signed J.J. Hickson to play the 4 position over the summer. However, Thomas Robinson has been outplaying Hickson. This is a good sign, meaning the Rockets made the right choice in trading for Robinson. As a team, the Rockets have had a great offense season to this point, ranking as the 7th team in the league with 98.8 PPG. Their defense is also good, ranking as the 13th team in the league and only allowing 95.1 OPPG.

        W-L: 6-11
        Division Standing: 5th
        Conference Standing: 14th
        Injuries: none
        Best Player: Tony Parker
        Exceeding Expectation: Kawhi Leonard
        Underwhelming Player(s): Tim Duncan
Season Direction: When the Spurs signed Paul Millsap in the offseason, they looked like they were ready to make a final push for a championship. However, the Spurs are a dismal 14th place in the western conference, and were on a 6 game losing streak at one point. Tim Duncan's game may be suffering due to the lack of touches because of Paul Millsap, or the age catching up, but he is only averaging 9.3/8.0/2.6/1.7 on 44.9% FG%.

          Return from Injury
          11/4/13

Kobe Bryant returns from his achilles injuries, and had 25 PTS, 8 REB, 4 AST, 2 STLS, 1 BLK, 4 TO. However, they lost 92-110 to the Bulls.

Amar'e Stoudemire's season debut went better as team, as they won 135-113 against the Wizards. He had 25 PTS, 3 REB, 5 AST, 1 BLK, 2 TO, and 11/15 FGS.

            2014 NBA Draft Look-Ahead
            12/4/13

            Big Board

            Today's Position: PG
            Position Grade: A-
First Team All-American PG(s): Kareem Packett
Second Team All-American PG(s): Williams Jenkins, DJ Carter
Third Team All-Americans PG(s): Dex McMillian, Eric Parker
            NCAA All-Freshman PG(s): Kareem Packett
The PG position if definitely the deepest position of the draft. There are three or four players that have NBA starting potential, and a number of sleepers that are ranked lower in the big board. The PG position also has the best prospect in the draft, Kareem Packett, who is following the line of stellar college PGs to play under John Calipari.

            Top PG Prospect
            Kareem Packett

            NBA Position: PG/SG
            Class: Freshman
            Ht: 6'3"
            Wt: 202
            Stats: 15.8 PPG - 2.1 RPG - 3.5 APG - 2.9 SPG
            Sapp Score: A
            Predicted Draft Range: Top 3
Strengths: Excellent ball handling ability… Can score from pretty much anywhere on the court…. NBA ready and can step in and play major minutes right away…Awareness on the offensive side of the ball may possibly be the best in the draft… Very quick first step…. Very good on ball defender and quick hands… Above average passer when he does make the pass
Weaknesses: Has not shown the ability to play like a true point guard on a consistent basis… Sometimes fails to make the necessary pass as he is busy attempting to create a shot for himself
Overall: Although Packett is not your prototypical point guard, he is simply an excellent player. Packett plays on both sides of the ball and plays with the type of intensity you want a team leader to play with. Some may even say that he needs to bring the intensity down a couple of nothces. Packett has had a couple of run ins with the refs and has been thrown out of games. Teammates claim that Packett’s intensity simply comes from the fact that he is a serious competitor. While Packett can score and has the ability to make the pass, his defense may have been the thing that shot him to the top of the draft boards. Although, he is not the best defender at the position, it is rare to find such an excellent offensive player, that is that good on the opposite side of the ball. If Packett continues to improve and reaches his full potential, he will be a perennial all star and possibly a top 3 point guard in the next five years.

                  Game Summary
The Clippers came into the game seeking revenge for the loss they had to the Jazz earlier in the season. The first quarter was miserable for Chris Paul, who starter 2-9 with 2 TO, including the last play of the first quarter, which was a TO by Paul and emphatic dunk by rookie Andre Roberson. Chris Paul answered his poor play with a strong second quarter, but the Clippers were able to keep their lead due to the explosiveness of Jamal Crawford. In the second half, the Jazz defense clamped down, and held the Clippers to 16 points. However, the Clippers were able to muster up enough points and had stops on the defense end when it counted.

                  Player of the Game
Jamal Crawford was a monster in this game, totaling for 38 points, including 15 in the second quarter. Without his outburst, the Clippers would have lost the game.

                  Rookie Watch
Andre Roberson had a nice game off the bench. He was stellar on the defense end and the boards, while having an emphatic top-10 worth dunk at the end of the first quarter.

                  Side Notes
-Enes Kanter continues to show that he is much more than a role player.

                    News
                    12/9/13

Kings finally end their losing streak with a 100-81 victory against the Nets. They were at 11 losses in a row. Even though DeMarcus Cousins is having a spectacular year, the Kings performance so far warrants growing rumors of the Kings shopping Cousins.

                      NBA Youth Check
                      12/11/13

                      Step Foward

                      1.

Brandon Knight is proving to the NBA that he can be the starting PG for a team. He has his PER up from a 12.04 to a 17.30 currently. He is also putting the ball in the hoop at a nice 44.3% FG%, which is much improved from his past 40.7 FG%. He is in a slump with his three pointer, but his major improvements heavily out-weight that flaw, which many think is only temporary.
*btw Brandon Knight has some really broad shoulders

                      2.

Cousins currently has a 20.04 PER, and his pulling down 13.6 RPG and turning back 1.7 shots a game. At times, he has single-handedly kept the Kings in games, and won them games.

                      3.

Anthony Davis has the highest PER of all second year players at the moment at 23.29. Even though Damian Lillard out-shined the uni-brow last year and snatched the ROY award, Anthony Davis seems to be the more long-term choice right now. He is shooting an amazing 58.6 FG% from the floor while getting 2.0 BPG.

                      Step Back

                      1.

The time for Al-Farouq Aminu to prove a worthy player in the league is truly running out. He has increased his averages to 5.1 PPG and 5.6 RPG, but he still has a miserable 30.6 FG%.

                      2.

Harrison Barnes may be returning to a better form, but is still showing digression from a nice rookie year and impressive run in the playoffs, where he was sometime a first option for the Warriors.

                      3.

Evan Turner has decreased his TO ratio slightly, but has become less efficient when trying to score. It seems like a trade is near inevitable now.

Tyson Chandler gets a rib broken for 2-4 weeks. The Knicks hope that they can have a good record in this time span.

Ben McLemore scores 30 points and grabs 10 rebounds, along with 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. He shot 11/14 and 8/10 at the free throw line, and funny thing is he took zero three pointers.

                            Trade Rumors
                            12/18/13

                            1.

Neither the Hornets nor Eric Gordon have shown any signs of wanting Eric Gordon on the Hornets, it just comes down to the highest bidder and the bet offer coming New Orleans way. Gordon wants to play in Phoenix, but the ball is really in the Hornets court, as they want to get the most back for the key piece that was in the Chris Paul trade.

                            2.

There are heavy rumors swirling around about a Turner/Gasol trade. It comes down to offers the other teams give both teams, and the direction both teams want to go at the moment.

                            3.

The Pacers are playing nicely, and are fourth in the conference, but Granger just seems out of place on the Pacers. However, most teams that are calling for Granger are offering pieces that have promise, but need development, while the Pacers seem to be a title contender, especially with David West in his last few years.

Stoudemire has played nicely in his first 10 games this season, averaging 18.8 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 3.3 APG, 1 SPG, and 1 BPG on 51.7 FG%. This gives him an excellent 21.83 PER. His play has warranted growing rumors of trades, but his ugly contract may just be too hard to unload.

T-Wolves prospect Derrick Williams continues to show flashes of brilliance, but he just isn't getting the consistent playing time in Minnesota to develop into the player he can be.

The newest rumors around the league surround budding star DeMarcus Cousins. He has stated that he wants to be on the team, but the Kings play just forces rumors for the Kings shipping away Cousins and making a complete build for the future.

-Hornets get nice prospects in Wiliams/Shved and expiring contract in Kirilenko

                              #2: Wizards/Kings
Alex Len, Jan Vesely, Chris Singleton, 2 1st rounders
                              for
DeMarcus Cousins, Jimmer Fredette, Joey Freeman (late second rookie)
                              -reunites John Wall with Cousins
-Kings get solid pieces and picks for the future

                              #3: Rockets/Knicks
J.J. Hickson, Thomas Robinson, Carlos Delfino
                              for
                              Amar'e Stoudemire and Brandan Wright
-Rockets are top contenders now (currently 18-7)
-Knicks get rid of Stoudemire's contract, add a starter in Hickson, and potential star in T-Rob
                              "

I would love if anyone can give me any feedback on those trades here as well. Thanks!
