    The Relocation Association 2.0

Welcome back, comrades! 2K14 is here and The Relocation Association is here once again!

I've done different relocations and rebrandings this time around, so it'll be a bit more interesting. I'm taking the New York Knicks again, since the last Association flowed so well with them.

    Rules:

    Team Chemistry: On
Player Roles: Off (I'm not sure if it's still broken or not, but whatever.)

    Rebrands:

The Charlotte Bobcats, New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz have confirmed a 3-team name trade.

New Orleans sent the Pelicans name to Charlotte, which Charlotte then changed to the Hornets. Charlotte is now known as the Charlotte Hornets.

    Team Statement:

"Well, you know, we're happy about the move. What we will do that may surprise most of you is.. we're keeping the old Bobcats colors, but using the Hornet logo. Which means all the logos and merchandise will be Hornets, but in Bobcat colors. This way, we're merging the cultures of the two franchises we've had here in Charlotte."

    - Micheal Jordan, Charlotte Hornets Owner

New Orleans is receiving the Jazz brand back from Utah. A name they had a very long time ago.

"I think I can speak for everyone when I say that Jazz is a name truly representative of New Orleans. Jazz is something part of New Orleans' culture. Our sales will skyrocket in terms of merchandise with this brand and no longer will our franchise's future here be questioned."

    - New Orleans Management

Utah is receiving the back end of this deal and is obtaining cash considerations along with the Bobcats brand from Charlotte.

"As we reboot our franchise, changes are neccessary. A new age of the Bobcats will soon arise in Utah. Jazz had nothing to do with the culture of Utah anyways. Bobcats is a bit more significant if you look at our state's wildlife. Hornets is named after the courage of officers during the Civil War in North Carolina and Jazz is pretty obvious for NOLA. It's a win-win."

    - Jazz Management

      Relocation:

Bucks shipped to Seattle, renamed Sonics

David Stern has recently announced that the Bucks will be heading to Seattle. The Sonics are in the league once again, although it will take time for them to get relevant again.

Giannis: "I think it's great.. although I may never be able to play in Milwaukee. So far, Milwaukee is nice place to me, but what I've heard of Seattle is nice too. As someone foreign to this country, it can be a bit confusing to run between different cities so much."

Nate: "Hey, it's cool with me. Like he said, it's a bit hectic to just arrive in a new city and then immediately be shipped off to another one, but hey, that's how the NBA runs I suppose. Seattle, here we come!"

Timberwolves headed to New Jersey - NY/NJ rivalry lives on

"You know, when they told me we were headed to New Jersey, I was all 'What? New Jersey? What's wrong with Minnesota?!' Now, I have to look at it rationally and see that we should make the most of this. Plus, the new uniforms and colors look amazing. I'm surprised they actually pulled off a team named Nuclear that well. Also, once we get to the IZOD Center, we'll have rivals for the first time. So, there's a bit of pressure to impress against those across the river. And it's not just the Knicks, no! We're taking Brooklyn on too! If three teams could be on the floor at the same time, you'd see some pretty intense basketball."

      - Kevin Love, PF of the now New Jersey Nuclear

There you have it! The triangle rivalry of New York, New Jersey and Brooklyn. Who will come out on top?

REPORT: The Toronto Raptors have taken the Timberwolves brand over, replacing the Raptors brand.

I find this stupid, but that's just me. It does not matter to me at all. The relocations and rebrands seemed fine to me.

                        Carter-Williams Trade Imminent?

The Knicks have reportedly shown interest in the Philadelphia 76er's rookie, Michael Carter-Williams. Reported trades that the Knicks would pull the trigger on are Raymond Felton and Andrea Bargnani for Carter-Williams, mostly as a salary dump with Bargnani.

The Knicks moved on from trade talks with the Celtics for their All-Star Point Guard, Rajon Rondo. The Celtics have stated they would only trade Rondo for Carmelo Anthony, which the Knicks do not wish to comply with.

Knicks pull the Trigger, Attain Carter-Williams

The Knicks have done as rumored and have traded for Point Guard Michael Carter-Willams. The Knicks sent Raymond Felton and Andrea Bargnani to Philadelphia, taking a large amount of cap space away.

Carter Williams on coming to New York:

"The season just started. Heh. But I understand how things work. I grew up a Celtic fan to be honest, so I'm finally seeing things from the other side of the fence so to speak. *laughs* I met Carmelo before too. They retired his jersey at Syracuse not too long ago. So, I'm really excited to head to New York.

Carter-Williams will meet up with the team in Chicago, where the Knicks are facing the Bulls.

The Knicks are also expected to sign a reserve big man sometime soon to replace Bargnani.

                          Steve Mills on Trade:

"We have to think about the future as well as now. We like Carter-Williams' game. Felton was great and Bargnani is good, but like I said, it's time we focus on the future along with the now."

The Future Is Now in Knick's OT Loss to Chicago

Chicago - The Knicks' young talent was shining in Chicago on Halloween night.

Michael Carter-Williams, the rookie guard recently acquired from Philadelphia, tacked up a double-double. He scored 12 points, along with getting the same number of assists. What was really glaring was his 0-5 shooting from behind the arc. Carter-Williams played 26 minutes.

He wasn't the only rookie putting on a show. Tim Hardaway Jr. , a fellow rookie drafted by the Knicks late in the first round, tallied up 24 points. All of his shots were from 3-point range, going 8-14. It was astonishing that Chicago left him that wide open.

"If they're leaving me open, I'm going to shoot it of course. Why should I NOT take an open jump shot? They should've learned after the first couple. Don't they know who my father is?"

Carmelo Anthony scored 17, with Shumpert and J.R. Smith both adding 13.

However, this was not enough. That guy Derrick Rose scored 28 points, and was close to a double-double, with 8 assists. He looked like his old self in only his second game coming off an ACL injury he suffered in the 2012 Playoffs in the first round against Philadelphia.

Joakim Noah was nearly perfect. Noah went 7-9 for the night, scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds.

"We weren't doing enough to contain him." Knicks center Tyson Chandler said after the game. "I feel like I was getting too bumped around and overpowered down low. I need to work on that. Everything here is a growing process."

The Bulls defeated the Knicks in overtime, winning 90-88.
