Re: The NEAC: D–I Men's Basketball
User Player Preview
Baltimore Wolves:
SF Omero Kai (Straight Baylien)—Active: Mr Consistency is going to turn in what he normally turns in, more but no less. Kai has a chance to lead his team to the first NEAC Championship, but he will most probably need his best defence for that to happen.
SG Ryan Kilpatrick (XXStormXX)—Active: Will the real Ryan Kilpatrick please step up. Is it the 8/3/1 dud from the start of the season or the 19/4/6 hero from the latter part? He needs to find out now.
C Shaq Davis (kbb33)—Active: No-one can make more of an impact. No-one will be blamed more for a loss. With great power, young man, comes great responsibility.
Hartford Lumberjacks:
PG Matt Bless (mb625)—Active: See last 8 games.
SF Red Sky (ReidSkee)—InActive: You got one day before you're ruled inactive.
PF DJ Porter (djp73)—Active: Well, this guy is now a wild-card. A good game WILL be the difference.
Prediction: Hartford 75, Baltimore 76—the 3 beat the 2.Comment

Re: The NEAC: D–I Men's Basketball
At the end of the day, it was the big guns that made the difference, but throughout the day, it was the small guns that did the work.
The favoured Hartford Lumberjacks are the 2014-15 NEAC Champions after a brutal tooth-and-claw battle against the upstart Baltimore Wolves. Regular time turned into overtime, and overtime turned into a second of its kind.
The 'Jacks were the last team standing, having put up 65 points to Baltimore's 63.
"It's amazing. After the ton of work we put in, it's so nice to finish on top."
—Hartford star Matt Bless, who was held to 11 points and 7 assists (11/3/7/1)
"Well, what can I say. We worked hard, maybe we could have worked harder. We'll for sure be back here next year though!"
—Baltimore's defensive pillar Shaq Davis, who hauled in 10 boards and had 4 blocks (8/10/2/1/4)
Ryan Kilpatrick, who scored a game high 16 points, fouled out early in the second overtime. His non-presence freed Matt Bless to score 4 of his 11 points in that frame, including the eventual game-winner.
A major factor in Hartford's defensive presence was resurgent C D.J. Porter, who fought Shaq Davis mostly to a standstill.
Finals Totals:
Matt Bless—11 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, Steal
D.J. Porter—9 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steal, 2 blocks
Omero Kai—7 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists
Ryan Kilpatrick—16 points, Rebound, 3 assists, Steal
Shaq Davis—8 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, Steal, 4 blocks
