Hey everyone! Thanks for dropping by! So, I've been playing this association for about a year now, and I am in the first round of the playoffs. That's where we will hop in, forget the regular season, the playoffs is when it really matters. Many deals and trades have been made throughout the season, and I will recap them since I am starting this pretty late into the year. This also means that the rosters will probably look much different than what they are in real life, considering that a whole season of transactions has taken place. I hope you guys can enjoy this as much as I am, and after I've recapped all the deals, and highlights of the season that have taken place, I will recap games individually.

Deals Plenty In Busy Season

In what has already been an exciting season, teams have wheeled and dealed, desperately trying to get the players that they think could be the missing piece, and lead the to a championship title. The Lakers kicked off the trade season, acquiring a 2014 1st Round Pick from the Boston Celtics in exchange for guard Jodie Meeks and a 2014 second round pick.

2012-2013 Trade From Around The League

On November 29th, the New York Knicks traded Kenyon Martin to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Mareese Speights. On the same day, the Lakers traded MarShon Brooks to the Washington Wizards for Al Harrington and a 2014 2nd Round Pick.

The Knicks continued dealing, sending away newly acquired PF Andrea Bargnani to the Phoenix Suns for Leandro Barbosa and a 2014 2nd Round Pick on December 7th.

Just three days later, the Atlanta Hawks traded Elton Brand to the Bobcats for Chris Douglas-Roberts and Brendan Haywood.

On December 12th, the Mavericks traded guard Rodrigue Beaubois to the 76ers for Jason Richardson and a 2013 2nd Round Pick.

The Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves kicked off the post-Christmas trade festival agreeing to a deal that saw Andray Blatche head to the Timberwolves for a 2014 1st Round Pick and a 2013 2nd Round Pick.

The next week saw quite a few players switch teams, with the Heat trading Michael Beasley to the Nuggets for JJ Hickson and a 13' 2nd Round Pick. The Clippers then traded Matt Barnes to the Lakers for Jordan Hill, in a rare deal between the two Los Angeles based teams. Near the end of week saw the Bucks make a surprising move, trading Caron Butler to the Spurs for Kawhi Leonard, who publicly stated that he wanted to be traded to a different organization.

The Heat kept dealing the following week, trading Norris Cole to the Trail Blazers for Dorell Wright, and shipping Udonis Haslem to the Mavericks for Shane Larkin and Bernard James. The Mavericks would then go on to trade Jose Calderon and a 2013 2nd Round Pick to the Celtics for Jerryd Bayless and Chris Wilcox.

A few days later, the Chicago Bulls traded Kirk Hinrich back to the Mavericks along with a 2014 2nd Round Pick for big man Samuel Dalembert.

The Indiana Pacers and Heat pulled off trades on the same date just a few days later, with the Pacers agreeing to trade Luis Scola, a '14 1st Round Pick to the Trail Blazers for Mo Williams, and the Heat trading veteran Greg Oden to the Warriors for Jermaine O'Neal and a '13 2nd Round Pick.

The trade season was far from over, as the Clippers would go on to acquire Grant Hill and Ryan Kelly from the Lakers for Glen Davis and Maalik Waynes, and the Pacers pulled off a surprising deal, trading fan favourite Roy Hibbert and Lavoy Allen to the Golden State Warriors for fellow big man David Lee. The Lakers capped off the trade season by dealing Nick Young and a 2014 2nd Round Pick to the Chicago Bulls for DJ Augustin, while the Celtics traded Brandon Bass to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a '13 1st Round Pick and Nick Collison.

2012-2013 Toronto Raptors Trades

The Raptors pulled the trigger on an early season deal with the San Antonio Spurs, sending Landry Fields and Nando De Colo San Antonio bound in exchange for shooting guard Danny Green and point guard Patrick Mills. On the same day, the Raptors traded Chuck Hayes to the Suns in exchange for Miles Plumlee and a 2013 2nd Round Pick.

About a week later, the Raptors traded backup point guard Sebastien Telfair to the Orlando Magic in exchange for E'Twaun Moore. The following day, the Raptors announced that they had swung a deal with the Golden State Warriors. trading veteran Mickael Pietrus, a 2014 2nd Round Pick and a '13 2nd Round Pick in exchange for centre Andrew Bogut.

A month later on boxing day, the Raptors traded E'Twaun Moore and Andrew Bogut to the Clippers for shooting guard Jared Dudley and DeAndre Jordan, solidifying the Raptors from court.

The Raptors continued to deal in January, trading Miles Plumlee to the Chicago Bulls for a '13 1st Round Pick, and sending John Salmons to the Houston Rockets in exchange for a '14 1st Round Pick.

On the day of the trade deadline, the Raptors made what is arguably the biggest deal of the year, acquiring star power forward Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves along with Richard Mbah a Moute in exchange for Amir Johnson, Jared Dudley, '13 2nd Round Pick and a 2014 2nd Round Pick.

New Places, Fresh Faces. Free Agent Signings from the 2012-2013 Season

Early season signings included Marcus Camby going to the Boston Celtics on a one-year deal, and Richard Hamilton going to the Chicago Bulls on a 1 year, $2.15M deal. The 76ers signed Daniel Orton to a 1 year, $2.67M deal, and the Bucks convinced Jason Kidd to come out of retirement, signing him to a 1 year, $2.97M deal, while the Suns signed fellow point guard Michael Redd to a 1 year, $1.95M deal. The San Antonio Spurs secured their foundation, signing Manu Ginobili to a 3 year, $15.94M contract extension, while the 76ers signed Stephen Jackson to a 1 year, $2.71M deal.

The Los Angeles Lakers made a surprise move, signing Grant Hill to a one year deal on Christmas Eve worth $2.29M.

On New Years Day, the Bobcats gave Gerald Henderson a New Years gift, signing Gerald Henderson to a 5 year, $15.27M contract extension.

2012-2013 Coach Firings and Hirings

Working in the basketball business means that your job is never a secure one. Thankfully, not many coaches had to fall due to the unproductive work of their players this season.

The Orlando Magic fired head coach Jacque Vaughn on February 25th 2013, and hired Dillon Ryan as their new head coach on the same day.

The Suns, the only other team to take part in a coach change this season, fired head coach Alvin Gentry on March 18th, and hired Wilson Reece as their new head coach a few days later.

Toronto Raptors 2012-2013 Season Recap

Despite getting off to a slow start, going 3-7 in their first ten games, a few moves by the front office immediately put the team into playoff contention and they played well down the stretch.

The Raptors played well, earning all-star nominations for point guard Kyle Lowry and small forward Terrence Ross, as well as a slam dunk contest appearance by Demar Derozan.

Losing only four games in the month of March, the Raptors compiled a 48-34 record, good enough to claim the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

With the regular season now behind them, the Raptors look to take down the fifth seeded New York Knicks in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, lead by Kevin Love and Kyle Lowry.

Raptors Take Game One, One Game Closer To Next Round

The Toronto Raptors took down the New York Knicks in style in front of their home court fans, taking a 1-0 series lead.

Kyle Lowry showed up, and he brought his A+ game, as he dropped 29 points, leading the Raptors to their first playoff win in a long time. Kevin Love scored 16 points, most coming off of assists from the red hot Kyle Lowry after the Knicks attempted to double-team him.

This first round playoff series continues on Monday, with the Knicks trying to even up the series on the road in front of a rowdy crowd at the Air Canada Center.

Yeah I know, but my front court is loaded and ready for the playoff push. I will give him regular playing time in the regular season, but his post sucks with my rosters for some reason. I think he just needs to develop a little bit more, but I'm not risking his development for the sake of my playoff run.
