"Wow what a day. Fresh off a new 10 day contract, I got another start for the Pacers, and took part in an epic fourth quarter comeback. The comeback was led by our dominant center Hibbert who helped us find our groove on defense. I even chipped in with a block on Rondo! Its a great feeling to come out of beantown with a victory like this. A real morale booster. I shot well tonight too, 6-10 from the field and 2-4 from three. I have been finding my groove really well the last few games. Hopefully its enough to see me through this contract and into a fully guaranteed one for the rest of season. CJ Watson is due back soon so I will have to step it up to keep seeing more court time. "

Statline: 14 pts, 3 rebs, 2 asts in 28 mins.

"Great battle tonight with the Wiz. Beal and Wall are an incredible backcourt. Donald, AJ and I had our work cut out. Beal had 26 and Wall 27. They dragged the Wiz to a great victory, despite our strong defensive performance in positions 3 thru 5. I didn't shoot well either, 3-10 from the field and most of those misses led to fastbreaks down the other end. Want to quickly forget this game."

        TNT Inside the NBA

Ernie; Ok so guys, 1 name. Adam Morrison.

Kenny: Well we all thought he was finished, but man has he proven us wrong. He's come from out of nowhere and now he's starting with the Pacers.

Chuck: Ya see Kenny, we can't lose sight of the Pacers injury situation. George, Hill, Stuckey, Miles and more. You could suit up for the Pacers, get some burn and put up some numbers!

Kenny: Well he does sure try to play like me, he can hit the three ball! Yeah this comeback might be short lived once the Pacers get some more rotation guys back in. But he is certainly leaving us with a better impression than sitting with a suit on collecting two rings.

Shaq: The kid knows how to ball. I said it at the time. That knee surgery spoiled his career. It happened Penny. Hell big injuries derailed Shaun Livingston. Look at the season he had last year with the Nets. How many years ago did he get injured? You dont forget how to play, and you damn sure dont lose that shooting.

Ernie: Well our colleague Reggie certainly helped him rediscover his shooting stroke, and maybe got him a contract with the Pacers too.

Kenny: Well Ernie sometimes it takes having connections in this league. The important thing is he has his chance now and is playing out of his skin. Now lets see if he can get a guaranteed contract.

Shaq: I tell you what guys, the Lakers could sure do with this guys scoring. Damn anything would help.

Chuck: Hey thats Kobes team, go easy big fella!

Ernie: Ok guys maybe we'll chat to Reggie soon to get some more inside info on Morrisons comeback. From all of us here at Inside the NBA, Good Night folks.

"Turrible defeat as Charles Barkley would say. We were the second best team all night. Pretty difficult to find any positives. I suppose the fact I had four assists is a positive, but 4 points and 1 field goal is truly awful. Solomon Hill had a better game than me tonight with 14 points, I hope I still get the start tomorrow. CJ Miles and Rodney Stuckey are nearing returns so I need to get my stuff together right away."

"Man this aint good. We are falling apart at the seams. Luol Deng tore us apart. His all around game reminds me of a LeBron light, I suppose he has to play like that for the Heat to have a chance this season. I dont know where to start with us. I scored 15 points but did little else. Chris has an off game with 15 points too, and the fact that we were leading scorers explains why we only score 71."

Pacers looking to reacquire bad boy Stephenson

Hornets looking to offload Stephenson already?

Stephenson has fallen out with staff and players after a few months, the Hornets are currently 3-8 and 14th in the East.

The Charlotte Hornets are targeting the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets as destinations to unload guard Lance Stephenson.

Stephenson becomes eligible to be traded in a matter of weeks, and Charlotte is rapidly losing hope that its brief partnership with Stephenson can stand the test of time.

Indiana hasn't ruled out the possibility of bringing back Stephenson, but appears unwilling to seriously engage the Hornets without the inclusion of a first-round pick in a potential deal.

So far, Charlotte has shown no inclination to package a future draft pick to move Stephenson.

Charlotte signed Stephenson to a three-year, $27 million deal this summer, but holds a team option on the final season of the contract. After reaching the playoffs with 43 victories a season ago, the Hornets have stumbled to a 3-8 start this season.

Charlotte coach Steve Clifford has largely stopped using Stephenson in the fourth quarter and key stretches of games. The gulf between Stephenson and his Charlotte teammates has been growing, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Stephenson's inability to co-exist on the floor with point guard Kemba Walker is among the primary reasons for the franchise's desire to trade him, sources said.

Charlotte reached out to Indiana on a potential Stephenson deal and has been pushing to generate an ongoing conversation, sources said. Indiana knows there's significant trepidation about Stephenson around the league, and knows him better than anyone. They've acted with little urgency on the matter, understanding they would own all the leverage in talks on Stephenson, league sources said.

When the Hornets first proposed a deal to reunite Stephenson with Indiana, the Pacers suggested the discussion start with two future first-round picks, league sources said. Make no mistake: The Pacers understand they can negotiate from a position of strength.

There are no trade proposals in serious discussion, nor is any deal for Stephenson imminent.

Indiana offered Stephenson a four-year deal to re-sign over the summer, but he chose the shorter contract with Charlotte. The Pacers had a support system surrounding Stephenson that allowed for the combustible guard to have success there, but he's still a polarizing figure within the organization and a wide-range of opinions exist internally about bringing him back. Nevertheless, Pacers president Larry Bird has always been partial to Stephenson's talent.

With Paul Georges injury, the Pacers are not looking like a playoff team this year. They need something, and maybe Stephenson could be it, to give them a much needed jolt. That may be enough in this weakened East to bring them back into the playoff discussion.

However Adam Morrison's comeback could come to a halt in Indiana if this trade goes through. With Chris Copeland's all around game, Stephenson and Copeland will demand the lions share of minutes on the wings, along with Stuckey, CJ Miles et al.

Morrison has 1 game left on his 2nd 10 day contract. This trade cant go through until December. But with Stuckey and CJ Miles due back next week, Morrison may be the odd man out. 1 game left Mr Morrison, you better make it count.

"Another loss at home. The Nuggets are a good team, on paper at least. They have struggled out of the gates so far this season, but we let them get up ahead of steam early on. Being down 18 at half time proved to be an insurmountable task. I played reasonably well, but could have scored a little more. I need to keep working hard on defense, as Afflalo scored only 8 points tonight, probably my best defensive performance of the year! Hopefully Larry has noticed my improvement and gives me a contract to the end of the season! "

Yes he certainly is! With such a threadbare roster he has to score, only have like 8 players. Most of his points come from open jump shots. He has such an awkward release its difficult to master. I play on player lock in association. When he subs out I just play as the team. Chris Copeland draws the defense a lot which leaves him open. Morrison's speed and quickness is pretty slow so he cant beat many guys to the basket!

Morrison signs 1 yr contract with Pacers

Pacers sign Adam Morrison for remainder of season

The injury ravaged Indiana Pacers were due to start the season with 7 players. Paul George had broken his leg during Team USA camp in the summer. A monumental loss. Lance Stephenson left for pastures new in Charlotte (Which by the way is not working out too well so far, more later)

The recently acquired Rodney Stuckey and CJ Miles both picked up injuries in the preseason. Stalwarts like David West, George Hill and Earl Watson also required some rehab and rest. GM Larry Bird phoned up an old friend (Reggie Miller) and asked so how is that kid coming along?

Miller replied, "Looking good Larry, I think you should check him out for yourself." That was enough. Bird lifted the phone to Morrison and set things in motion. His clinical jump shooting in the workout clinched it. Two 10 day contracts later and 13ppg in his back pocket, Morrison had played himself into a season long contract.

"Adam has been incredible. He's been shooting the lights out, and very effectively too. He has a field goal percentage of 48%. I'd be proud of that myself!" Said Bird.

Morrison signs for the league minimum of $473k for the rest of the season. As this is November 15, Morrison cannot be traded for 30 days. Which incidentally is December 15th. The day all newly signed free agents can be traded. One newly signed free agent is not settling in well in his new surroundings. Lance Stephenson. Rumors are already circling that the Hornets have had enough. His me first style of play hasn't meshed well with the roster.

The Hornets stand 4-8 and 3rd last in the East. Just about ahead of the Pacers as they have played more games. The Hornets were slated to be a top 4 seed in the East this year with the addition of Stephenson. With the re-branding of the Bobcats, and a return to winning ways, Jordan will be anxious not to lose that momentum and income generated from the renewed interest in the franchise.

The Hornets have seemingly contacted the Pacers about taking Stephenson back, but Larry Bird can negotiate from a position of strength and drive a hard bargain. The Brooklyn Nets also have interest, but they are currently 3rd in the East with a 9-2 record. So they might not rock the boat just yet. Keep an eye on the Bulls though, with many good assets on that team, some extra scoring from Stephenson alongside Jimmy Butler on the wings could make them the best in the East. Stay tuned folks.

                                Stephenson on the way out?

Lance Stephenson on the way out? How the Hornets can reshuffle.

With the Hornets horrible jerky start to the season, the front office is already sweating. Some may say its premature, but on the back of a re-brand for the franchise, Michael Jordan needs to steady the ship in a very weak Eastern Conference.

Our experts have complied some interesting trade ideas for Rich Cho and Michael Jordan. Happy reading, lets hear some feedback if you feel like it.

                                Trade #1 Nets

Hornets Trade: Lance Stephenson, Bismack Biyombo
                                Nets Trade: Brook Lopez

With this trade, the Hornets gain a big center, capable of 20 ppg. It moves Al Jefferson back to power forward. It will be one of the best offensive frontcourts in the NBA, but will seriously struggle on rebounding and defense. Gerald Henderson would start in place of Stephenson.

For the Nets its a simple but risky ploy. Lopez has been a ball stopper in recent weeks. The Nets have played their best basketball when Lopez has been off the floor. He hasn't played many 4th quarter minutes. Adding a Brooklyn native in Stephenson could either disrupt or completely galvanise the start the Nets have had. Stephensons defense and athleticism is much needed. Joe Johnson will still be the go to guy, and that will take the pressure of Stephenson to fill a role like he had with the Pacers.

                                Trade #2 Bulls

                                Hornets Trade: Lance Stephenson
                                Bulls Trade: Taj Gibson

This is an incredibly risky move for the Bulls. Almost identical contracts for both players, but trading big for small doesn't always work. For the Hornets they add a major defensive and rebounding force beside Al Jefferson. You could say that this trade would be perfect for the Hornets as it would take so much pressure off Jefferson.

For the Bulls, well they lost that post presence which can dominate against every 2nd unit. However the play of Pau Gasol, and Nikola Mirotic has been incredible so far. Apart from Joakim Noah's injury problems, Gibson would have been playing severely reduced minutes. Taking Gibson away leaves Mirotic playing more minutes as Power Forward instead of Small Forward. Jimmy Butler slides to Small Forward and Stephenson comes in at the 2 guard. More defense and more scoring eases the pressure on guess who.... Derrick Rose,

For the point of view of reducing the pressure on Rose to score 20 ppg during the season, and even guard some tough guards, I think the Bulls have to do this trade. The only downside for the Hornets, they make the Bulls insanely strong and favorites to win the East.

                                Trade #3 Pacers

Hornets Trade: Lance Stephenson, Bismack Biyombo
Pacers Trade: CJ Miles, Earl Watson and Luis Scola

                                or

Hornets Trade: Lance Stephenson, Bismack Biyombo
                                Pacers Trade: David West

Well starting with the first trade. The Pacers need anything. And a known force like Stephenson on a cap friendly contract will do nicely. If they have to give up role players like Watson, Miles and Scola, they do it. If they have to add in a 1st rd pick like rumored, i'm not so sure. Adding Biyombo will help shore up the defense further, and give David West and Roy Hibbert some much needed rest.

The Hornets add some great depth at 3 positions. They don't have much of a bench at the moment and this will give them a very strong bench, defensively and offensively. A good solid trade, making something out of nothing really.

                                Now for the 2nd trade.

The Hornets would now have a legit Power Forward to play beside Jefferson. West is a tough defender, great rebounder and has an incredible basketball IQ. The Hornets need veteran leaders and you cant get much better than West.

The Pacers lose West and gain Stephenson and Biyombo. A pretty fair trade from what I can see. Luis Scola has proven this month again he is a more than capable starter in Wests absence. I think Wests production can almost be replaced, and with Biyombo and Mahinmi off the bench, they might just be ok on both ends.

Stephenson will have to do most of the scoring in Indiana. He done it in small spurts before but this time Paul George isn't there. David West won't be there to keep him in check either. If the Pacers want to salvage this season and scrape into the playoffs they do both of these trades. Ideally trade 1 but you are under serious pressure to do it as their first round pick for this season is gone.

There's some food for thought folks, let us hear what you think!
