Georgia wins on opening day
Georgia had fought hard in the first half as they couldn't score in the paint. Jacksonville State's big men were taller, stronger, and faster and that let them stay in the game. At half Georgia changed there whole game plan and pressed the 2nd half. The score doesn't show how the game really played out as Georgia was up by 10 with 2 minutes left to play, but they couldn't make their free throws and the Jacksonville State point guard hit a half court shot at the buzzer.

i did use the idea and it is funny that i used georgia too as i wanted a team in the SEC that wasn't that great and I ended up choosing Georgia

Happy to help inspire your own dynasty thread. It is fun to try to survive sanctions but these threads can become a ton of work. I wanted to continue mine but I lost all desire to keep doing updates when they take away from my limited game time. Good luck as I will check in now and then.

Georgia is a great basketball team to pick for this as they have been bad for some time. I took over as the HC at Georgia in my 2k8 dynasty in year 32. In the first 31 seasons they only made the NCAA Tournament 4 times.

Georgia escapes with a win
Georgia started out the game by blowing right by Grambling defenders as they were winning at half 28-17. Grambling State started out hot in the 2nd half shooting 4-4 from the field to make it a 2 possession game. Georgia and Grambling went back and fourth down the stretch, but Georgia walked away with their 2nd win on the year.

Georgia knew they would win as they started the game on a 13-2 run. Elon made the game close near half, but right after half it was all Georgia as they had 3 players get double digits in scoring.

Solid start and a good choice of bumping up the time to get it as realistic as possible.

Good luck with Georgia. If you're using the 07-08 rosters, my cousin should be on the team (Sundiata Gaines). Hopefully you'll be able to replicate the success they had late in the season.

yeah man, Gaines is a stud. he is getting about 10 points and 5 assists per game.

Georgia hits clutch last basket in win
This game was a defensive battle from start to finish. At first it looked like Georgia would win by a good amount as they started the game on a 10-2 run. Down by 8 with a minute and a half the Indiana Hoosiers somehow came back to tie it, but with 21 seconds left and the shot clock at 1 Terrance Woodbury threw up a fadeaway from 12 feet out and got it to go. The Hoosiers missed a 3 at the buzzer and Georgia stunned Wisconsin at home.

Very interesting storyline. Question though, how will you keep yourself out of the tournament, when the game chooses the participants itself?
