    All-Star Teams and Draft

The 2026 All-Star Draft is complete and once again it was team Luka vs Team Giannis. Giannis as vote leader and team captain as a surprise given his somewhat down season. However, he once again embraced his role as captain. You can see the results below.

4 possible All-Stars missed out due to injury: Atlanta’s Trae Young, Miami’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Utah’s B.A. Guasco, and Cleveland’s Darius Garland.

Of the healthy players, the following guys will feel hard done by to not make it.
    • De’Aaron Fox, PG, Toronto Raptors: 27 points and 7 assists per game
    • Jameer Trammell, SG, Orlando Magic: 27 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists per game
    • Milos Jeffers, SG, Los Angeles Lakers: 25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists per game
    • Ben Long, SF, Hawaii Honu: 25 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists per game
    • Coby White, SG, Los Angeles Clippers: 25 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists
    • John Collins, PF, Philadelphia 76ers: 22 points, 7 rebounds per game

?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.

Cool to see Brogdon with 2 lifetime all-star game appearances. I remember he was a borderline HOF in 2K20 MyLeague so good to see him keeping up the pace.

What year is Trevor Merchant in now? I'm guessing Year 5 which makes his 4 ASG in 5-Years impressive (especially in the world of 2K).

Yeah, he's been in Portland since the Dame/Brown/Turner/Kemba mega-trade 3 years ago and has really stepped up to be a leader there. The whole cast of characters around him has shifted, but he's been steady. Happy to see him make it, though he's only in the game because B.A. Guasco is hurt I think.

Merchant is in year 6. He was pick #2 of the 2020 draft. So 4 in 6, which is still very good for 2K and he's probably good for another 6 straight. I think he only missed out 1 year due to injury.

February 13, 2026 St. Francis vs Mount St. Mary’s [NEC]

Over the last 2 weeks the Red Flash have played and won three games quite easily
          1. 87-46 win vs Wagner. Erwin Willingham had 22 points, Chris Thompson had 19, and E.F. McGuire added 14.
          2. 68-52 win at Quinnipiac. Chris Thompson led the way with 19 points.
          3. 101-55 domination against Fake Francis. 7 players on St. Francis scored between 10-13 points.
Now they are welcoming Mount St. Mary’s to town. The Mountaineers are about exactly what was projected before the season: they are 4th in the conference at 9-3. They are led by the frontcourt duo of Louis Krymski (C, 77 ovr) and Terrence Downey (PF, 74 ovr) and those 2 aren’t really followed by anyone. Mount St. Mary’s remaining roster is quite bare: those two average 34 points per game and nobody else on the roster scores more than 6.4 points per contest. However, they play a fast-paced game and have been a reasonably solid team, so it should be a good matchup for the Red Flash and a fast-paced game.

Louis Krymski starts the game 0-3, which is a blessing for the Red Flash as he had a number of good looks at the basket. That was just one of several ways the game was disjointed early on as MSM didn’t have a single field goal but managed to only be losing 7-6 thanks to free throws. Krymski picked up 2 quick fouls, including a charge, and was sent to the bench. St. Francis was only 1-4 from the free throw line, and the Mountaineers were 6-8 from the charity stripe and 0-6 from the field.

From there, the game unfortunately didn’t get cleaned up. Halfway through the first period we have a combined 11 fouls, 7 turnovers, and St. Francis is up 16-12 despite only making 4 of 10 free throws. Neither team has even taken a three pointer yet.

Chris Thompson also got into foul trouble, and of course the Red Flash went on a small run with him on the bench and lightly used walkon senior Tron Torbert in at the 5. That 4 point lead extended to 8 as St. Francis entered halftime up 32-24. Dinko was not happy with their performance: they hadn’t been playing well and were very sloppy and shooting poorly. The Red Flash were just 50% from the free throw line and 0% from three. Harlan Cesar and Terrence Downey both had 9 points to lead all scorers.

In the second half, the Mountaineers came out in a zone look and were able to claw the back back to 3 points before St. Francis finally hit a three pointer thanks to Erwin Willingham and Chris Thompson finally scored as the Red Flash went up 10 points. St. Francis continued to play like they know we can and extended the lead to 55-39 and pretty much locked up the game.

Down the stretch Mount St. Mary’s cut the lead to 9 with 2 minutes left, but it finished as a 66-53 win for the hosts. It was an ugly win, but it was good to get a win even when the shots aren’t falling.

Cesar was the team’s leading scorer with only 11 points as every other started tallied between 6-8 points. For the Mountaineers, Terrence Downey had 20 points, Krymski only had 4.

          Around the NCAA
Duke has suffered their first loss of the season, 63-66 to #7 Boston College. The Golden Eagles then lost 65-70 to #20 Maryland.

Not a pretty game from a box score watching perspective but glad the Flash got it done.

I see Hailey led the team in his assists which is impressive for a 4 at a mid-major.

Yeah, inside-out game and press-breaking actually gets the 4 a decent number of assists in Dinko's system. When you see a lot of assists from my big men, you can assume the other team pressed a lot OR we hit a lot of threes.

Can't believe a Laker averaging 24 points a game didn't make the ASG. That would seem to be a lock considering their fanbase.

How is SFU looking in terms of conference? Favorites to win it?
