Do you have 2 scholarships remaining? And I like Eddins, great to have him replace Lowenthal.
The major signings definitely are interesting, some a big wonky like the fact Frank Kaminsky will likely end up at Tennessee. I'm most excited to see the twin towers combo of Cody Zeller and Andre Drummond at Michigan State though, I think they could become a force to reckon with if both stay a few years.

I do have two remaining, although I plan to only use one leaving the other open. I'll discuss it more in future recruiting updates but I'll use the other scholarship on finding a Center, with Watson a Junior I want to get a project big man who I can turn into our big man of the future while he waits his turn.

Florida Holds Top Spot After win Over Georgetown

Since the start of the season, the polls have been completely shaken up with some huge risers and droppers. In the past few weeks, a new number one team has entered the fold with Florida holding the top spot. The Gators beat then seventh-ranked Georgetown in a decisive manner last week, winning by over twenty points. The Gators are a veteran team who have been at the top of the rankings for several years, with Chandler Parsons leading them. Coached by Billy Donovan, they currently have one of the best offenses in the entire NCAA.

Both the number two and three teams lost last week, with Gonzaga losing by one in overtime to Oregon State and Ohio State losing at the last second to Ole Miss. Despite this, the voters ranked them ahead of Michigan State, who beat the 22nd ranked Arizona last week by seventeen points.

Coming in at ranked eighth, Oregon has continued to climb the polls. The Ducks came in ranked 24th at the start of the season but have steadily moved up. Last week, they faced their first real test against Texas Tech and came out on top. VCU has been the real riser, however. The Rams came into the year unranked but this week cracked the top ten. VCU hasn't played anyone of note, but their margin of victory is what has impressed voters. VCU has a current average margin of victory of twenty points, with all but two of their games being complete blowouts. The Rams are a veteran team led by the backcourt of Joey Rodriguez and Iker Thiero.

Elsewhere in the top ten, Pittsburgh has moved into fifth. At the start of the season, we called Pitt a team to watch, and so far, that prediction has been accurate. Dejuan Blair is averaging a career-high eighteen points a game, while in the backcourt, Raitis Almond and Shannon Sinville are both also having career bests.

As we look down the poll, after starting off the year with two upset losses, Duke has dominated in four of their last five games. The only close game came against Kentucky, whom they beat in a shootout. Villanova entered the polls this week, coming in at eighteen. The Wildcats have won seven straight, with quality wins over Temple, Virginia, and Kentucky. They will face an upcoming test against North Carolina next week.

The shocking faller of the season so far has been Texas A&M. Many predicted the Aggies to be competing for a national title, with Senior DeAndre Jordan returning this year to try to win one. However, the Aggies have struggled on offense and have lost to Western Kentucky and Utah, two teams they shouldn't have lost to. There is some hope though, as they've been able to win their last two games by twenty points and they battled 25th-ranked USC until the final seconds.

In the mid-major poll, it is no surprise that Gonzaga and VCU command the top two spots. The Missouri Valley Conference is having a strong year with both Creighton and Bradley in the top ten. Creighton beat Penn State at home last week by twenty points. San Francisco, ranked fifth, is having a great start to their season. They are a young talented team but lack a true number one scorer, opting for an all-out attack on offense, which has worked so far.

UC Davis comes in at number ten. The Aggies, after a slow start to the season, have won their last five games, including a win over Washington last week. They surpassed Pepperdine and Portland in the polls to re-enter the Mid-Major top 10.
