Half Length: 15 minutes

To preface this, I will say that I am very new to this game. I haven't seen any dynasties using NCAA Basketball 10; it's only College Hoops 2k8 around here. But with the March Madness Legacy mod, to me, NCAA Basketball 10 gets the nod over CH2K8.

I will be using the Boston Terriers of the Patriot League. They've had quite the depressing history, with their last NCAA tournament appearance being in 2011. They had won the Patriot League tournament in 2020, but March Madness was cancelled that year so they never got a chance to play.

My coach is named "Ben Smith". He was a former assistant coach at Yale before coming to Boston to take the head coach position at Boston U. He's a mere 36 years old; after all, Boston does need someone to breathe new life into their program.

I will try to update this thread as frequently as I can. It may not be after every game, but I'll try my best to write recaps for at least every other game.

Before you ask, yes, I do have updated Boston uniforms, courts, dornas, etc. These will be in a future release of the March Madness Legacy mod. To get the rosters, you can either download MML or click here. For the sliders I use, please DM me.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi Blows Out Boston In Season Opener
It was an embarrassing night for head coach Ben Smith. It was supposed to a good start to his head coaching career. Unfortunately, that did not happen as Texas A&M Corpus Christi beat the Terriers 78-54.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi jumped out to a 6-0 lead after hitting consecutive three pointers and didn't look back. Simeon Fryer scored 18 points on 8/11 shooting and Trevian Tennyson scored 19 points on 7/11 shooting. Tennyson also had 6 assists. The Islanders tore up the Terriers' 2-3 defense to score 41 points in the second half after tearing up the Terriers' man to man defense in the first half.

Boston never led, although they cut it to a 12 point lead at the half. They switched to a 2-3 zone at halftime, and that allowed Texas A&M Corpus Christi to start the second half strong with a 12-3 run. They never looked back. Javante McCoy scored 11 points on 3/10 shooting and Jonas Harper scored 11 points on 3/8 shooting for the Terriers. Daman Tate struggled as he went 1/14 from the field.

Up next for the Terriers is Richmond. They will face the Spiders at home. Texas A&M Corpus Christi is Marist.

Yep! So far, only the Power 7 is updated but gameplay is much improved. It's gotten to the point where this game, for me, gets the nod over College Hoops 2k8.

Gonzaga Routs Boston in Spokane
Gonzaga Head Coach Mark Few was more than elated. His team had just won by 27 against Boston, a game that would "hopefully set the tone for the season". Ben Smith, the Boston coach, felt the opposite. His team had just gotten blown out at Gonzaga. "It was a tough game," Smith was quoted as saying. "They're a good team--they're gonna make it far this year."

Julian Strawther led the way for Gonzaga with 28 points. Gonzaga kept running a flex cut for Strawther and Boston couldn't stop it. For Boston, Javante McCoy led the way with 20 points. It was a tough game for Boston no matter how they slice it.

Up next for the Terriers is Auburn. They will travel to Auburn sporting a 1-3 record. With the win, Gonzaga improves to 4-0.

What system is RPSC3?

I played NCAA Basketball 10 and really liked it back in the day. Found it really hard to drive to the paint, but back when I played it I never messed with sliders. Broadcast was absolutely the best though, loved it. Excited to see one on this game instead of CH2k8. I sometimes get the itch to dust off the 3 to play this game, might have to after reading this.
