Oh no, we've become the inspiration for talking heads in your universe, and I'm not sure if the fake usernames are more or less embarrassing than our actual usernames

Stud muffin is definitely more eloquent than I am when it comes to these things, so good job getting the upgrade.

      Nice article btw

Needed to add some dialogue so glad you don’t mind putting your forum name to use with some author twist. Feel like with some fake players entering my universe I need to write more articles to keep up with the new faces of the league.

Giddey, Thunder Slam Home Another Home Win, Take Down 76ers

Easily his biggest test of the season, Chet Holmgren (20 pts, 13 reb, 1 ast) went up against Joel Embiid (34 pts, 12 reb, 6 ast, 2 blk) who seems to be the player who’s game he most resembles. It didn’t take long for Embiid to show the kid his full game as he strokes a three from the top of the key.

While Josh Giddey (16 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk) hasn’t been just pouring in bucket after bucket like his other two star teammates, it seems like every time he does score it’s a bucket to marvel at. A blow by on Tobias Harris (10 pts, 6 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl) on the wing led to a two-handed slam that got Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (2 pts, 5 reb, 1 stl) off his feet on the bench in anticipation.

Joel Embiid was sick of watching Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (40 pts, 5 reb, 12 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk) score at will so tried to take matters into his own hands and send a message to the league’s leading scorer. The punk move wouldn’t pay off because SGA was still able to flip this shot up off the glass and in for the old fashioned three-point play while also igniting a fire that saw the Thunder guard continue to attack all night long.

Continuing to shoot at a high clip, Max Christie (9 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast, 1 blk) connected on his 2nd three of the game and let an arrow fly to the crowd in celebration. While still early, Christie is hitting on 48% of his three-point attempts so far on the season.

While not having his most effective night on offense, considering he’s completely useless on defense, James Harden (13 pts, 7 reb, 6 ast, 2 stl) got to the rim past Mikal Bridges (15 pts, 2 reb, 4 ast) and finished the contested layin, but seemingly got hit in the man region on the way. Must have been the reason why he refused to move his feet on defense for the rest of the game…

Embiid continued to show off his great feel for the game as he could sense Giddey coming from his blind side to double him in the post. Knowing that his man Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (8 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast) would find the opening in the corner, Embiid fired a pass out for the wide open three.

Can’t get to the paint? No problem. How about a snatch back pull-up jumper over the 7-foot Embiid? Giddey has proven to be as smooth as ever with the rock in his hands and this jumper left Embiid in shock.

While Tyrese Maxey (21 pts, 2 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl) did a great job staying in front of Gilgeous-Alexander on this drive, when you are in such a zone like Shai is it doesn’t matter. Leading the league at 38.6 points per game, SGA was able to fade from inside the paint to out of it, move the ball to his right hand and flip it up on the rim. Three bounces later, the Wilson leather fell through the twine for yet another bucket.

Using his length and ball control, Giddey is able to drive across the lane, extend his “weak” hand away from KCP’s block attempt and finger roll a layup off the glass, giving just enough English to spin it in for two.

Maxey tried to keep it interesting down the stretch as he buried his fifth three of the night to bring it within six with just 90 seconds remaining, but that would be the closest Philly would get as OKC scored just enough buckets down the stretch to keep the game from getting too close for comfort.

Have to agree with Harsh Daddy lol, trading Jaylen Brown doesn't make much sense to me. Celtics should use there other assets to build up a more complete roster.

As a Celtics fan it would be difficult for me to break up the J's and, after examining the roster a bit further, it makes much more sense to piece together some of the overlapping parts to try to find an upgrade in the starting lineup or top of the bench than to break Jaylen Brown into lesser parts.

Went in and updated this franchise's glossary on the 2nd post of this thread if anyone is interested in seeing different moments we have gone through over the course of 2+ seasons so far. It was fun seeing some of the happenings again and thinking about what may happen next!

Ant Man, TWolves Stay Undefeated With Comeback Win Over Thunder

Still on an absolute heater, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (30 pts, 2 reb, 9 ast, 1 stl) attacked with reckless abandon as he took on both D’Angelo Russell (40 pts, 3 reb, 9 ast, 1 stl) and Rudy Gobert (10 pts, 15 reb, 1 blk) in the paint and still finished with ease. The scoring burst didn’t last much longer after the first half as Minnesota put the clamps on the league’s leading scorer.

One of the best athletes in the entire league, Anthony Edwards (25 pts, 3 ast, 1 stl) proved tough to keep out of the paint by any Thunder defender, including Max Christie (13 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk) who got blown by for the saucy one-handed finger roll.

Seemingly a non-focal point of the offense, Karl-Anthony Towns (19 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast) was nearly perfect on the night as he missed just one of his nine shot attempts. After slipping a screen at the top of the key, he easily slid past Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (2 pts, 3 reb) for the routine dunk.

Though he wasn’t the rookie drafted the highest by the Thunder, Tari Eason (11 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl) is showing that he may be their most valuable as he continues to shine in his role off the bench. He’s super athletic, finishes evertyning around the rim and is able to guard pretty much any position on the floor.

Though his offense hasn’t taken the next step like the front office would have liked to see, Josh Giddey’s (11 pts, 1 reb, 9 ast, 1 blk) defense continues to blossom as he records yet another block, this time a rare stop on Russell.

With Gobert going under the Chet Holmgren (15 pts, 14 reb, 4 ast, 2 blk) screen, he was too late closing out on SGA who connected on one of his two threes on the night. The league’s leading scorer fell too in love with the three ball on the night as he missed six of his eight shots from deep.

While Holmgren struggled to get anything going in the half court set against Gobert, he did utilize his youth and speed in transition to beat the lumbering Frenchman down the floor for the easy flush.

Giddey found out that trying to block Anthony Edwards is a lot more difficult than doing so against D’Angelo Russell and gets put on a poster in a play that changed the trajectory of the game going forward. The Wolves would use this momentum at the end of the third to carry it over into a 40-point 4th quarter.

A late comeback attempt by the Thunder would be put to rest as Edwards drained one of his two threes to kill the OKC run and give Minnesota enough cushion to coast to a comfortable 7-point victory, remaining the only unbeaten team in the league.

Wow, that's a really rough collapse and loss. Hopefully a lot to learn from that one.

Oh ya, the collapse was real in this one. We got up on the Wolves early and in the back of my head I was thinking “is it time to up the sliders?” And then the 2nd half happened haha.

Backbreaking loss there. Looking at your roster, seems like you could use an upgrade at the forward spots. Any chance you go all-in on a deal for another star to pair with SGA?

I’ve given thought about grabbing a true center and moving Chet to PF. Maybe call up our friends in Phoenix and make a massive deal for Ayton?!?
