    Redskins 2011 Season
    Week 1 - Eagles 7 @ Redskins 51

The Redskins dismantle their division rival, the Eagles. The Eagles were never in this one, with the Redskins hitting on all aspects of the game, Offense, Defense and Special Teams.

    Week 2 - Cowboys 23 @ Redskins 30

The Redskins trailed by 9 going into the 4th quarter, but QB Jason Campbell brought Washington back and scored 16 points unanswered in the 4th quarter. Washington's fans have to be getting excited.

    Week 3 - Seahawks 23 @ Redskins 56

The Redskins have their third home game and they wast no time giving the fans what they came to see. The Seahawks thought they could do without QB Matt Hasselback, but apparently they were wrong.

    Week 4 Bye

    Week 5 - Redskins 34 @ Eagles 37

The Eagles get a little revenge with a 4th quarter comeback to edge the Redskins. Interceptions were the problem for the Redskins. Will Washington suffer the same turnover woes the Joslin led Raiders did?

    Week 6 - Redskins 38 @ Giants 16

The Redskins get off to a slow start, but rack up 24 points in the 3rd, effectively putting the game out of reach.

    Week 7 - 49ers 19 @ Redskins 38

The 49ers fall behind early and can never get back into this one. The Redskins are looking like a certainty for the playoffs.

    Week 8 - Falcons 10 @ Redskins 31

The Redskins jump out to an early lead and their defense makes sure the Falcons can never get back into this one.

    Week 9 - Redskins 34 @ Dolphins 28

The Dolphins pour it on in the 2nd half to take a narrow lead, but they can't keep it. The Redskins under QB Matt Hasselback blaze back to life and score 10 unanswered to steal back the win.

    Week 10 - Jets 28 @ Redskins 23

Turnovers kill the Redskins. The normally stout Redskins defense can't stop General Sanders Army Run and after key turnovers kill scoring opportunities the outcome is a foregone conclusion.

    Week 11 - Bills 3 @ Redskins 23

The Redskins get off to a slow start, but it hardly matters with the Bills unable to do anything.

    Week 12 - Redskins 31 @ Bears 24

A late TD brings the Bears close, but when they can't get the onside kick, Washington runs out the clock for the win.

    Week 13 - Redskins 34 @ Cardinals 7

The Redskins look dominant as they destroy Arizona.

    Week 14- Redskins 24 @ Rams 17

A late TD lifts the Redskins above the Rams for the win.

    Week 15 - Redskins 38 @ Patriots 17

No one thought the Redskins stood a chance, but the Redskins defense shut out New England in the first half. After that all Washington had to do was hold on.

    Week 16 - Redskins 28 @ Cowboys 35

The division rival Cowboys steal a win with a last minute TD. This game went back and forth, but in the end, the Redskins defense gave up one too many big plays.

    Week 17 - Giants 21 @ Redskins 31

The Redskins get back on track with a win vs. the Giants.

The Redskins are going to the playoffs and have a bye for the Wild Card round.

      Wild Card

      Chiefs 24
      Patriots 34

No one gave the Chiefs much chance of winning this one, and for good reason.

      Cowboys 28
      Vikings 24

The Vikings control this one up until the 4th quarter when the Cowboys charge back with 14 unanswered points to steal the win.

      Broncos 17
      Jaguars 24

A back and forth struggle with the Jaguars scoring last.

      Saints 31
      Seahawks 34

Mike Holmgren beats Sean Payton in Overtime!

      Divisional

      Jaguars 27
      Ravens 24

Gary Hammermill and the Ravens dominate in the regular season, but can't seem to get it done in the Post Season.

      Seahawks 28
      Buccaneers 38

Jon Gruden works his magic to move the Buccaneers forward.

      Patriots 24
      Raiders 17

Rex Ryan led his team to the playoffs, but couldn't get past the Patriots.

      Cowboys 13
      Redskins 41

HC Joslin and the Redskins rode the Cowboys hard and put them away wet.

      Coference

      Jaguars 24
      Patriots 21

A cinderella year for HC Jack Del Rio and the Jaguars. They are going to the Super Bowl.

      Redskins 54
      Buccaneers 32

Coach Joslin crushes the hated Buccaneers.

      Super Bowl

      Jaguars (14-5) vs. Redskins (15-3)
      1st Quarter

The Jaguars waste no time jumping to a 10 point lead off a Josh Scobee FG and a WAS turnover that leads to a QB D. Garrard TD pass.

      JAX 10 WAS 0

      2nd Quarter

The Redskins quieted the Jacksonville fans with 23 unanswered points in the 2nd...all by HB Marshawn Lynch (2 TD Rec, TD Rush) with K Rian Lindell getting injured on the PAT, the Redskins decide to go for 2 2pt conversions rather than trust a LB to kick FGs

      JAX 10 WAS 23

      3rd Quarter

The Jags get back into it with a pair of scores (Maurice Jones Drew and Malcolm Kelly) but can't stop the Redskins for adding 3 scores of their own (Marques Colston, Marshawn Lynch and Antwan Randle El)

      JAX 24 WAS 46

      4th Quarter

3 more TDs all by HB Marshawn Lynch seals the win for the Redskins, even with the Jaguars getting 2 more scores (2 TD Rec by J. Jones)

      JAX 38 WAS 68 Final

Super Bowl MVP: WAS HB Marshawn Lynch 5 rushes 6 yds, 3 TDs, 8 catches 191yds 4 TDs

        Re: Just Win Baby!

Under Rex Ryan the Raiders finished the regular season at 13-3, and Coach Ryan finished ahead of HC Joslin in the Coach of the Year Standings.

General Sanders finished 6-10 for the season, 11-21 overall and is still reportedly Doing OK with the Jets...how many seasons will the Jets keep him around?

Gary Hammermill and the Ravens are Award Darlings as always bringing home Coach of the Year, MVP, OPOY, DPOY, QBOY, HBOY, and DBOY as well as having more Pro Bowl players than any other team.

          Redskins Review 2012
          Off Season/Free Agency/Draft

GM Daniel Snyder has made it known, that the Redskins will eschew the Draft yet again, in favor of known quantities.

To that end, the Redskins trade for

DE Haloti Ngata from the Ravens

DT Amobi Okoye from the Texans

QB Andre Woodson of the Packer to backup starter QB Matt Hasselback

WR/KR Eddie Royal from the Saints

RT Kwame Harris from the Saints

CB Rashean Mathis from the Titans

In Free Agency, HC Joslin grabs

DE Brian Smith and former Raider DE Derrick Burgess

          RT Max Starks

          WR Tony Forst

          and DT Broderick Bunkley

The Redskins have no Draft Pick in the draft

            Eagles 16
            Redskins 24

The Redskins stage another 4th quarter comeback. This time down by 6 heading into the 4th, QB Matt Hasselback shows that he isn't too old, with two TD passes to WR Santana Moss and TE Chris Cooley to give the win to Washington.

            Week 3

            Redskins 26
            Browns 19

The Redskins dominated this game from start to finish. In the 4th Quarter, the Browns made it interesting, but it was too little too late.

            Week 4

            Cowboys 13
            Redskins 20

A tough fought game, but in the end the Redskins powered ahead to a win.

            Redskins 20

            Seahawks 3

Another game that the Redskins dominate. The Redskins look set for another playoff run.

            Redskins 17

Gary Hammermill and the Ravens get some revenge with a sound defeat of HC Joslin and the Redskins.

            Week 9

            Falcons 7
            Redskins 19

Washington gets back on track with a win over a floundering Falcons team.

            Week 10

            Saints 20
            Redskins 15

A strong Saints team proves to be too much for the off and on Redskins.

            Week 11

            Redskins 31
            Eagles 28

Washington fights a back and forth battle with their division rivals and in Overtime pull out the win.

            Redskins 30
            Cowboys 3

            Redskins 24
            Giants 17

The Redskins hold the Giants scoreless in the second half, and that means adding another W.

            Week 14

            Redskins 31
            Buccaneers 25

Redskins knock off the Buccaneers in a back and forth struggle. It always feels good to beat the Buccaneers.

            Week 15

            Steelers 21
            Redskins 24

The Steelers are having an off year, but they definitely gave the Redskins a run. A last minute TD saves Washington and dooms Pittsburgh.

            Week 16

            Vikings 21
            Redskins 17

The Redskins struggle throughout this game. They finally find their feet in the 4th and score 11 unanswered points, but it is too little.

            Week 17

            Giants 15
            Redskins 20

The Redskins sweep the Giants again this season. The Giants are hoping for a rematch in the playoffs.

The Redskins are going to the Playoffs again, with a bye for the Wild Card Round.

Doing a mix of sim and playing. Problem is always the same...I have more time to play, but never enough time to do individual writeups now that things are busy at work and home.
