Preseason News
Before the season has even begun, the Nets have improved their weakened frontcourt.
With the loss of Kenyon Martin to Denver, the Nets needed a strong, athletic man up front, and they found their man, trading veteran Clifford Robinson to the Memphis Grizzlies for the young C/PF, Stromile Swift.
Swift will start at Power Forward, while the newly acquired veteran Dikembe Mutombo will start at Center after being acquired from Houston for Nenad Krstic.
In a final move, the Nets signed FA Point Guard Jay Williams. Williams hopes to return from the horrific motorcycle accident that threatened his career over a year ago. He will backup All-NBA Point Guard Jason Kidd.
