Nets strengthen frontcourt

With Dikembe Mutombo having to sit throughout considerable stretches in recent games due to fatigue, the Nets made another trade Wednesday, dealing PG Jay Williams and their 1st round pick to the Denver Nuggets for PF Kenyon Martin and the Nuggets' 2nd round pick.

Martin played his first four seasons with the Nets before leaving for Denver in the offseason due to his asking price. However the other moves the Nets had made so far this year opened some room to bring Martin back. Stromile Swift will move the 5 spot, with Martin starting at PF. Jason Kidd must be salivating now, with athletes like Vince Carter, Richard Jefferson, Martin and Swift getting his passes to slam.
