Bears survive late charge to remain undefeated in Big Sky play

The Northern Colorado Bears were able to survive a late charge in the last two and a half minutes of regulation from their hosts, the Idaho State Bengals, to get out with a 64-63 victory and remain perfect in Big Sky conference play at 6-0.

"We came in on their floor and expected to just roll over them and they gave us a better game then we expected out of them." commented Bears head coach Peter Webber following the game, "I think they exposed us to a lot of other teams on how to beat us."

It took a big performance from guard Sean Taibi down the stretch to keep the Bears from suffering their first in conference loss of the season. The senior finished the game with a total of 19 points including several key buckets late in regulation.

The loss drops Idaho States overall record down to 5-11 for the season and their Big Sky record to 1-3. The win improves the Bears overall record to 11-6 for the season while their conference record improved, as mentioned earlier, to 6-0.
