      First Half

      Jacobson converts a 3-point play and after Jameson matches it by hitting a 3pter, Bey banks in a hook. Dobbins buries a 3pter then after Viegas and Sparks trade jumpers, Jacobson drops in a jumper to give Army a 9-8 lead with just under 15:00 remaining. Both teams struggle for points as the defenses clamp down then Jacobson steals the ball and goes coast-to-coast finishing with a layup to give the Black Knights a three point lead, 11-8, halfway through the opening half. Dobbins and Jameson put in layups and gives Saint Louis the lead. Jacobson hits a 3pter then after George makes 1 of 2 free throws, Dobbins drills a 3pter to tie the game, 15-15, with 5:00 left. Dobbins makes 1 of 2 free throws and Fearing tips in a rebound then Doyle sinks a jumper. Doyle tips in a rebound then Steele nails a 3pter at the buzzer to give the Billikens a two point lead at the half. Army's Jacobson leads all scorers with 10 points and Dobbins leads Saint Louis with 9.

      Second Half
      van de Laar and Jacobson both make a pair of free throws then after Muurinen cans two free throws to tie the game, Jacobson hits a 3pter. van de Laar puts in a layup and knocks down a jumper and after Sparks sinks a hook, van de Laar nails a 3pter to give Army an eight point lead, 33-25, with just under 15:00 remaining. Muurinen cans a hook and after Viegas banks in a layup and Jacobson banks in a jumper, Dobbins banks in a fallaway jumper and a layup. Dobbins nails a 3pter then after van de Laar swishes a jumper, Fearing banks in a layup and Bitee slams in a dunk after an offensive rebound to pull Saint Louis to within one, 39-38, at the midway point of the second half. Bey lays in a rebound and after Sharp buries a turnaround jumper, Steele makes 1 of 2 free throws to tie the game. Jacobson hits a 3pter to give the Black Knights the lead then Halsell sinks two free throws and Sparks tips in a rebound to give the Billikens the lead, 45-44, with just over 5:00 left. van de Laar and Sharp trade 3pters then after Goodman banks in a short jumper to give Army the lead, Dobbins puts in a layup and Sparks tips in a rebound to give Saint Louis a three point lead with 48.0 seconds to go. Jacobson makes two free throws to put the Black Knights within one with 40.1 seconds to play and Army starts fouling, sending Jameson to the line. Jameson misses the front end of the 1-and-1 then Goodman nails a 3pter at the buzzer to give the Black Knights the win.

                I know that it was a while ago, and many pages & posts ago, but I play on the ps2. There is no NIT for that console, only the NCAA.

                This legacy is going to be at a standstill for a while. I am in the process of moving and it may be a month before I can get back to this. At least now the readers can take a breath after catching up. I will finish up the posting of the games, the last game played was against Penn, and then the posting will stop for a while.

                    First Half

                    Jacobson sinks a jumper and van de Laar drops in a layup then after van de Laar makes 1 of 2 free throws, Power tips in a rebound. Bey banks in a short turnaround jumper then Pugh cans 1 of 2 free throws and Gross hits a 3pter to pull Purdue to within one, 7-6, with just under 15:00 remaining. Jacobson drills a 3pter and after Pugh buries a turnaround jumper, Viegas banks in a layup. Gross hits a jumper to pull the Boilermakers to within a basket, 12-10, halfway through the first half. Molina and Onyekwe put in layups to give Purdue the lead then van de Laar banks in a layup. Caporn tips in a rebound and Irwin banks in a layup then after Doyle lays in a rebound, Blake makes 1 of 2 free throws. Doyle slams in a dunk on a fast break then Pugh banks in a layup to give the Boilermakers a three point lead, 21-18, with just under 5:00 left. Goodman banks in a jumper and after Pugh cans a hook, Molina nails a short jumper after an offensive rebound. With only a few seconds to go, Jacobson drains two free throws to pull Army to within three at the half. Jacobson leads Army with 7 points and Pugh leads Purdue with 7.

                    Jacobson makes a pair of free throws and hits a jumper to give Army the lead and after Jacobson and Power trade layups, Pugh sinks a short jumper to give Purdue the lead. Gross nails a 3pter to give the Boilermakers a four point lead, 32-28, with 15:00 remaining. van de Laar makes two free throws then Jacobson and van de Laar put in layups on fast breaks to give the Black Knights the lead. Pugh sinks a hook to tie the game and after George banks in a layup to give Army the lead, Molina swishes a turnaround jumper to tie the game, 36-36, midway through the second half. Bey and van de Laar both put in layups to give the Black Knights a four point lead then Onyekwe slams in a dunk. Jacobson buries a 3pter and later tips in a rebound to give Army a seven point lead, 43-38, with just under 5:00 left.                         First Half

                        Jacobson sinks a jumper and after Werner drops in a layup, van de Laar banks in a jumper. Werner and Jacobson trade layups then after Jacobson puts in another layup, Werner and Jacobson trade jumpers. Werner cans a hook then van de Laar hits a layup and a jumper to give Army a 14-8 lead with 15:00 remaining. Werner sinks a short turnaround jumper and after Goodman makes 1 of 2 free throws, Greenleaf buries a jumper. Goodman puts in a layup then Meyers and Jacobson trade jumpers as the Black Knights lead by five, 19-14, halfway through the opening half. Jacobson puts in a layup and after Kandji slams in a dunk, Bird and Werner trade jumpers. George tips in a rebound to give Army a seven point lead, 25-18, with 5:00 left. Werner banks in a layup and nails a hook then after George puts in a layup, Werner banks in a short jumper. Werner and Lovelace bank in layups as Penn finishes the half on a 10-2 run to take the lead at the half. Penn's Werner leads all scorers with 20 points and Jacobson leads Army with 12.

                        Werner tips in a rebound and after Gibbs makes 1 of 2 free throws, Goodman and Werner trade layups. Werner banks in a layup then van de Laar sinks a jumper to pull Army to within four, 35-31, with just under 15:00 remaining. Goodman makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Ballinger and Jacobson trade layups, Meyers and Lovelace each put in layups. Jacobson hits a 3pter then Lovelace buries a jumper to give Penn a six point lead, 43-37, midway through the second half. Ballinger drains a runner and after Werner and Jacobson trade jumpers, George and Kandji trade layups. George cans a jumper then Fletcher nails a 3pter to give the Quakers a nine point lead, 52-43, with 5:00 left. Gibbs puts in a layup and Werner sinks a couple of hooks then after Jacobson swishes a jumper, Bey and Werner trade hooks. Jacobson banks in a jumper and Goodman drops in a layup to cut Penn's lead as the game ends.
