          West Point, NY - It was announced today by the AD of Army athletics that Coach Bob Knight has been given, and signed, a five year contract to stay on as the head coach of the Army Black Knights' basketball program.

                            I know. It kinda kills the added hype of the rivalry against Navy by having the games come so close together. I would have liked for one of those games to be near the end of the schedule to give a little more hype and meaning to the second game.

                            The has been built up well through recruiting as the overall number is now 70. This should be a pretty good year ("knocks wood") for the Black Knights. I hope that we could show a little something in the two marquee games on the road against the Maryland Terps and the Miami Hurricanes.

                                Good luck this season Coach Knight. Hopefully your more experienced team can get a little farther in the conference tourney this year.

                                It was nice to see my 13 seeded Panthers knock off 4 seeded Washington in the last tournament!
