    He was a 4-star recruit and he was already interested in going to Army. He was 75% interested going into the 2007-2008 season. I spotted him during the first season while he was still a Junior in high school and I made sure that I called him every Monday to make sure that he knew that he was wanted. After the game against Lafayette, Jacobson is currently second in the country is scoring plus leads the country in both free throw percentage and 3pt percentage. And he's only a Junior!

        First Half

        Jacobson hits a 3pter in the first ten seconds of the game and after Rios puts in a layup, van de Laar sinks a jumper and Viegas makes 1 of 2 free throws. Viegas cans a pair of free throws and Jacobson buries a jumper then van de Laar and Goodman drop in layups on fast breaks. Munns banks in a layup then Jacobson drills another 3pter to give Army an 18-4 lead with just over 15:00 remaining. van de Laar puts in a layup then after Viegas banks in a hook and a layup, Jacobson banks in a jumper to continue the Black Knights' run and builds a 22-point lead, 26-4, halfway through the opening half. Jacobson hits a jumper and Anderer banks in a layup and after Bird nails a short turnaround jumper, Norwood cans a hook. Pasco lays in a rebound to stop the run then Rios puts in a layup and Walcott buries a jumper to pull Lafayette to within 24, 34-10, with just over 5:00 left. Rios makes 1 of 2 free throws and Munns lays in a rebound then after Holman cans 1 of 2 free throws, Bird nails a couple of short jumpers. George and Bird bank in layups then Walcott swishes a short turnaround jumper and Holman drains 1 of 2 free throws to pull the Leopards to within 25 points at the half. Army's Jacobson leads all scorers with 12 points and Rios leads Lafayette with 5.

        Second Half
        Rios sinks a jumper then after Doyle makes 1 of 2 free throws and George drains a pair of free throws, Munns and Lynch each put in layups. Munns drops in a layup and after Bird and Rios trade jumpers, Cooley and Lynch bank in layups on fast breaks. McCormick converts a 3-point play then after Rios knocks down a jumper, Jacobson hits a 3pter to give Army a 20-point lead, 53-33, with just over 15:00 remaining. Jacobson and Lynch trade jumpers and after Jacobson drains a 3pter, Holman puts in a layup. George makes two free throws then after Rios and Anderer trade layups, Rios sinks a 3pter to pull Lafayette to within 20, 62-42, midway through the second half. Norwood puts in a layup and George drops in a pair of layups and after Doyle slams in a dunk on a fast break, Lynch and Anderer trade layups. Bird nails a short fallaway jumper and later lays in a rebound to give the Black Knights a 14-2 run and a 32-point lead, 76-44, with just under 5:00 left. Anderer banks in a layup then after Jefferson hits a 3pter, Jacobson ends the onslaught by burying a jumper with a few seconds left.

                Grant nails a 3pter and Akingbala banks in a layup then Grant slams in a dunk on a fast break and Akingbala puts in a layup as American opens the game with a 9-0 run. van de Laar makes two free throws and Jacobson hits a 3pter then after Bey banks in a short jumper, Akingbala drops in a layup to give the Eagles an 11-7 lead with just over 15:00 remaining. van de Laar sinks a jumper and after Grant drills a 3pter, Bey cans a short turnaround jumper. Grant slams in a dunk on a fast break then van de Laar makes two free throws and puts in a layup on a fast break to pull Army to within one, 16-15, halfway through the first half. Norwood cans a turnaround jumper to give the Black Knights the lead and Goodman drops in a layup on a fast break and after Akingbala sinks a couple of hooks to give American back the lead, Viegas drains a runner to give Army the lead, 21-20, with just over 5:00 left. After Jones tips in a rebound, Jacobson sinks a couple of 3pters to give the Black Knights a five point lead going into halftime. Akingbala and Grant each have 10 points to lead American and Jacobson leads Army with 9.

                Second Half
                Goodman puts in a layup on a fast break then after Akingbala makes 1 of 2 free throws, Jacobson hits a 3pter. Grant slams in a dunk on a fast break and after Viegas lays in a rebound, Munir buries a 3pter. Grant and Viegas trade layups as Army leads by six, 36-30, with 15:00 remaining. Grant drains a runner then after Viegas cans 1 of 2 free throws, George drops in a couple of layups. Akingbala puts in a rebound and after van de Laar banks in a jumper, Gruber buries a turnaround jumper to pull American to within seven, 43-36, midway through the second half. Bey banks in a layup and Jacobson swishes a turnaround jumper then after Gruber banks in a layup, Jacobson nails a 3pter and a turnaround jumper to give the Black Knights a 14-point lead, 52-38, with just over 5:00 left. Jacobson hits a 3pter and Army sends in the reserves to finish the rest of the game. Montgomery banks in a short jumper and after Akingbala drops in a layup, Montgomery cans a hook to round out the scoring with about a minute to go.

                            First Half

                            Schmieder tips in a rebound and Tangara puts in a layup then Jacobson sinks a jumper. Hobbs banks in a jumper and Ramsey drains a hook to give Colgate an 8-2 lead with just over 15:00 remaining. van de Laar cans a jumper and after Cable makes 1 of 2 free throws, van de Laar hits a 3pter. Cranford lays in a rebound then Viegas tips in a rebound and Bird drains a turnaround jumper to tie the game. Schmieder makes two free throws and Frye drops in a layup on a fast break to give the Raiders a four point lead, 15-11, halfway through the opening half. Norwood tips in a rebound and Bird sinks a hook then Okosa and Clifton both put in layups. Frye drops in a layup then Goodman buries a pair of free throws and Jacobson banks in a jumper to tie the game, 21-21, with just over 5:00 left. Ramsey sinks a hook and Hobbs makes two free throws then after Cable tips in a rebound, Schmieder buries a turnaround jumper as Colgate goes on an 8-0 run. Jacobson hits a 3pter and a jumper then after van de Laar banks in a layup on a fast break, Schmieder swishes a jumper to give the Raiders a three point lead at the half.

Viegas lays in a rebound and Jacobson sinks a jumper after a turnover to give the Black Knights a five point lead, 39-34, with just under 15:00 remaining. Jacobson and Hobbs trade layups and after van de Laar puts in a layup on a fast break, Ramsey tips in a rebound. Clifton tips in a rebound then George drills a 3pter to give Army a six point lead, 46-40, midway through the second half. Goodman drops in a layup on a fast break then after Goodman makes 1 of 2 free throws, Norwood lays in a rebound. Clifton sinks a hook and after George buries another 3pter, Schmieder and Jacobson trade jumpers as the Black Knights build their lead to 12, 56-44, with less than 5:00 left.
