Man, those flippin' Quakers defeated you again, but this time not as easily. I think that now you are going to need Penn to lose twice, but I'm not sure how the game breaks ties.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a soldier.

          Thanks for the reply.

They were just way too athletic for my team...but we had quite a few chances to make it a game but always seemed to blow them through missed open shots and turnovers. Next year we're going to sweep them lol

Yeah, I'm figuring we're gonna need to win five straight and have Penn lose two of their final six to win the conference. Although I don't know if 2k handles tiebreakers right, so really one Penn loss could give me the conference(unfairly).

Columbia Retakes Top Spot In Ivy League

In a shocking event last night, Penn lost a nail-biter to Harvard, 45-46. It was a match of first and last place teams in the Ivy League. However, with the loss, the Lions now have a half game lead over the Quakers in the conference. However, since Penn has played one less game than Columbia, and since they swept the season series with the Lions, if the Quakers can win the rest of their games and finish with the same conference record as Columbia, they will win the tie-breaker for the conference championship and the automatic tourney bid.

Penn Loses To Yale 54-70, Columbia Controls Their Own Destiny

Penn's collapse continued tonight, as they were toppled at home against Yale. This loss means that Columbia controls it's own destiny heading into tomorrow's games against Harvard. If they defeat Harvard, they will win their the Ivy League Championship and earn their first NCAA tournament bid in 39 years. Harvard is currently in last place in the Ivy League, with only five total wins on the season. However, Harvard upset Penn earlier this season, so anything is possible.

                            Columbia's Next Opponent Announced

Selection Sunday came around and Columbia was in the fortunate position of not having to sweat out the results, as they already knew they were in the tournament. The question was, where would they go and who would they face?

They found out Sunday that they would be heading to North Carolina as the 14 seed to take on the Bruins of UCLA. UCLA finished the season 23-8 earning them a 3 seed in this year's tournament. With the Bruins Final Four experience from a year ago, this wasn't the match-up that the Lions were looking for.

However, the Lions remain optimistic. This is a young Lions team that will come out with no fear and nothing to lose. The Bruins better not sleep on the Ivy League Champs.

Columbia won't be the only school representing the Ivy League in the postseason tournaments. Penn and Yale are also still playing basketball, as both teams will be playing in the NIT. Penn drew a one seed in the tournament, and Yale drew a seven seed.
