    The A&T Record - 10/6/06
Aggies hire new coach for men's basketball

Greensboro, NC - The Aggies of North Carolina A&T have themselves a new coach. 26 year old Rashad Jones was hired yesterday to take over the men's basketball team. Although Mr. Jones does not have any college basketball experience, the heads of the athletic department were impressed with his attitude towards the position. Jones is confident that he can move the program in the right direction, and start a new era for the men's basketball. He is committed to winning, and said he will do whatever it takes to get the season started off in the right direction.

Good choice. I started my coaching career at A&T also. I started Rush, Booker, Guions, Wills and Webster. Rush, Booker and Guions used to take turns as the leading scorer.

2-1 is a nice start after completing the John Thompson Classic, which is a round robin format. NC A&T beat up Army when I was coaching them the first season.

                            Good luck with the Aggies.
