Tigers never trail, go to 2-0

AUBURN (AP) - Brandon Cox has thrown his own version of a pick-six in two games. But his Auburn Tigers are 2-0, and in the end, that's all that matters.

Cox had his second straight three interception game, but he threw for two scores, both to Tim Hawthorne, and the Tigers turned an early 20-0 lead into a 33-20 victory.

The stars of the game were the Auburn defensive players, who not only intercepted Matt Grothe four times, but held the potent South Florida offense to only 204 yards, including a miniscule 15 rushing yards. Grothe was sacked six times by an agressive Auburn rush that brought forward six or seven players all game long, forcing Grothe to make bad throws.

Auburn jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a beautiful catch and run by Tim Hawthorne, and then added to the lead with two field goals and a pick-six by Jonathan Wilhite. USF actually closed the lead to three at two seperate points, but they were never really challenging Auburn, who put the game away after two late Grothe picks. Brad Lester ran for 96 yards.

Next week, Auburn takes on Mississppi State in their first SEC game.

I'm trying too, I doubt it will happen though lol.

To be honest, I don't even like running an Auburn dynasty. I'm seriously thinking about running a pure sim/recruiting dynasty with Buffalo, since I prefer to just play with Auburn and then run a full-blown dynasty with someone else. I really want to get much more in-depth with the recruiting than I am right now, but if I do that I won't be able to play as many games as I want too. Since I won't even be near a CPU for a couple days anyways, its all moot right now, but I'm liking the idea of running that type of dynasty. So if that happens, don't be surprised.

Just want to give everyone a heads up on what's going down.

I'm going to spend the next week trying to perfect sliders, and I will likely either be restarting this dynasty with Auburn again, or continuing on. However, I did play forward a few weeks, and I am now at the Arkansas game. Thankfully this game saves stats much better than the PS2 version so I can post the box scores and all that. So we'll see what happens.

I haven't even done the recruiting myself this year as I find it a bit long. I will probably get into it more later but doing write-ups every week for all 35 prospects has to be killing a ton of time. Good luck with the dynasty.
