      Yeah, I was hitting anything or getting any homers. I actually tweaked the sliders a bit to raise my contact rating. I also slowed down the pitch speed slider a little bit so I could have a little more time to see if the pitch was going to be a strike or a ball.

        Curt Schilling pitched another gem and is making himself into a Cy Young candidate. He pitched a complete game giving up 2 hit including a triple to Vernon Wells. He lowered his ERA to just 1.53. Many Ramirez solo homered twice and Wily Mo Pena homered once, knocking in 3 runs. Julio Lugo continued to shine, knocking in 2 runs on double in the 9th inning. The Red Sox improve to .500 with the win.

              Yes, it is quite nice. That early drought was killing me!!! Luckily, I am out of it now, but the Yankees are winning like crazy so I haven't gained any ground.

                We were up 7-5 going into the 9th inning, then Papelbon gave up 3 runs in the top of the 9th to blow his first save of the year and put the Red Sox behind 8-7. In the bottom of the 9th with no outs and 2 on, Manny Ramirez hit a deep line drive into center field for the walkoff triple. Daisuke Matsuzaka struggled. In 5 innings, he gave up 9 hits, 5 runs (4 earned) thanks to a disastrous 4th inning.

                            Yes, we have been hitting better lately. Manny is on fire. He's up to 6 homeruns now and is up to 18 RBIs and 10 doubles. Our pitching is coming alive as well.
