Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (ESPN College Hoops 2K4)

Alright, this will be my college basketball legacy for this year. I'm running a little short on money and I don't want to spend another $60 on a basketball game (I have NBA 2K8), so I will play with this spectacular collegiac game! ESPN College Hoops 2K4 is my favorite game of all time, and, as I opted for NBA 2K8 this year, I will play college basketball using 2K4. I will be playing with the Western Carolina Catamounts of Southern Conference. Keep in mind, this is an old game, so the conferences may not be correct, but it's still fun!!!

James, another dynasty? How can you get any seasons completed. Good luck and it's cool to see someone pull out an older game and play it.

      Well, this will be it.

I'm be playing NBA 2K8, CH 2K4, and NCAA 08. I probably won't be playing NCAA 08 as much now that basketball season has started. I will stick with these. You can hold me to it!

Small Forward Scott Wood is defintely the best player on the team. He can drive, shoot the three, and is pretty tall (6'7"). Plus, he's only a Junior, so I'll have him back next season. This team is actually pretty good for a closed legacy team, so I shoul fare well.

I'd say I have a decent chance at winning my conference. The So-Con won't be any picnic, but the Catamounts are pretty good, so I think I have a pretty good shot at it. Only time will tell!

Catamounts Keep it Close, but Lose by 3 to Georgia

                  11/21/03 vs. Georgia Bulldogs

                  Final: 80-83

In Coach James Frizzell's first game as head coach of the Western Carolina Catamounts, his team sure put up a fight. The Catamounts hung around with the Bulldogs of the SEC for the entire game and fouled Georgia with 5 seconds left down by 3. Georgia missed the free throw and Western Carolina got the ball back down by 3, but Scott Wood's 3 clanked off the rim as Georgia escaped the upset. Scott Wood had a great game, finishing with 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Western Carolina Center Matt Hale added a team-high 14 rebounds in the effort. "You can't win them all," commented Coach Frizzell. "I understand these kids tried there best and that's all I can ask of them."

                  Western Carolina Stats
                  FG: 36/69 (.552)

Coach Frizzell may need a lot of luck to get these guys into the Big Dance. This may take a couple of seasons. Good luck from who-knows-what school head coach Bob Knight.

Thanks. At least I always have the Southern Conference Tournament to play in to get an automatic bid. Unfortunately, there is no NIT in this game, but it's okay.

Thanks and I hope you find a job Coach Knight!

Wait, actually there is a way you can still do a career legacy with Army. I've never tried it, but I read if you edit the players on the team or redshirt them so the team's overall rating is below a 70, you can use them in career legacy mode.

Alright, this is what I read:

Catamounts Put Up Quite a Fight, But Fall to the Hokies in the End

11/25/03 vs. Virginia Tech Hokies (1-0)

                        Score: 74-83

Western Carolina faced yet another tough test against Major Conference opponents, this time versus the Virginia Tech Hokies. The Hokies went up 12-0 right off the bat as Western Carolina's offense struggled. The game was even most of the rest of the way as the Catamounts fell to the Hokies by just 9 points. "We played well," said Coach Frizzell, "but we couldn't pull it out in the end." The Catamounts fired up 30 thress in the game as Coach Frizzell said he wanted his team to shoot the deep ball more. It worked as the Mountaineers shot 10/30 on three point field goals. Don Ward led Western Carolina in scoring with 15. Scott Wood added 12 more points. Center Matt Hale chipped in with a team-high 10 rebounds in the loss.

Western Carolina falls to 0-2 (0-0) on the year.

Coach Frizzell gets first Win of His Coaching Career

12/2/03 vs. High Point Panthers (0-2)

                          Score: 61-54

Coach James Frizzell coached his first game at home in his career and got his first win of his career as the Catamounts beat the Panthers 61-54. "Wow, it feels great to get your first win as a coach," Frizzell said in a post-game press conference. "I’ll always remember this day. I hope many more wins come, too!" The game was neck-and-neck until the final few minutes of the game, when Western Carolina pulled out to a comfortable lead off of a nice run to win by 7. Scott Wood scored 22 points for the Catamounts and Matt Hale got 9 points to go along with 19 rebounds.

On a side note, Stevie Anderson, a 2 star shooting guard prospect that is considering going to High Point, attended the game and was clearly impressed. Anderson is a defensive specialist and would really be beneficial to the team.

Western Carolina improves to (1-2) (0-0) on this young season.

Catamounts Scorch Wofford to Open Conference Play

                          12/4/03 @ Wofford Terriers (0-2)

                          Score: 98-59

The Catamounts absolutely dominated Wofford on both ends of the floor. Wofford was clearly in shock as the Catamounts executed perfectly offensively and defensively in this matchup. Wofford was held to just 36% shooting and 14% from 3 point range. "Our defense played nicely," commented Coach Frizzell, "as did our offense. We just missed the century mark, but I’ll take 98 any day!" Scott Wood grabbed 8 rebounds while scoring a team-high 27 points. Shooting guard Don Ward scored 22 for the Catamounts. Matt Hale grabbed 14 boards and Regis Fuller grabbed another 11 in the blowout.

Western Carolina improves to (2-2) (1-0) to begin conference play.

Thanks and I hope you find a job Coach Knight!

Wait, actually there is a way you can still do a career legacy with Army. I've never tried it, but I read if you edit the players on the team or redshirt them so the team's overall rating is below a 70, you can use them in career legacy mode.
Nope. I don't touch the players' ratings. I think that they do a very good job with those. Like BubbleFour said, there's the Citadel if I want to go the military route.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a soldier.

Yeah, I did one with Citadel once and it was pretty fun. I like they're uniforms.
