    I have a problem

Well at least I admit it. I can't embark on any type of virtual season without posting it somewhere. It's sad, but it's something I have to live with. This thread will house my obsessive behavior.

As you may or may not know, my UNC dynasty is no more. NCAA 08 was fun but it could only hold my attention span for so long.

I'm planning two attempts at dynasties in the near future. First, I am trying to do an Association in NBA 2K8. It's a really fun game, but some things drive me nuts. I have decided to do a fantasy draft to fill out my roster. It does take away from the realism but I don't want to be tied into a determined outcome, which playing the default Charlotte Bobcats would probably mean lucky to make the playoffs...out early. So I'll post that soon as I'm about to undergo that draft process. Don't worry, I'm going to limit how effective my draft will be, skipping my #3, #6, and #9 picks to even it out a bit. I also edited some players so they will be taken earlier in the draft (i.e. LaMarcus Aldridge).

My next task will be naming the CH rosters and starting a Legacy with my UNC Tar Heels.

Anyways, fantasy draft results will be posted tonight.

Stew, you're not the only one who can't get through a season without posting it - I'm definitely one as well.

The reason I do it is because I feel more disciplined in the fact that I have to try my best to play realistically, and I have to accept any downfalls coming. And for those that have seen my virtual Cougars this year, this is definitely the case - but not hard to swallow.

As for your basketball stuff...I don't care. See I admit it. But you know I'll check it out whatever you do,bud.

I have the same problem. The problem is I can't seen to stick with anything. I'm trying hard to stick with my dynasties now and I think I'll stick with them.

          Re: I have a problem

I can't even start up an Association with NBA 2K8. There are too many flaws with that game for my taste. College basketball is my passion, and I will have no problem diving into a Legacy with my Tar Heels. I'm really excited for the game...more importantly their season opener tomorrow.

I'm going to do something very simple and just post some game updates here. I finally have my sliders ready to go.

Good luck on your dynasty Stew. As a Duke fan, hope to see you in the NIT. Go Blue Devils. LOL!!!! I downloaded the demo of this game last night, the first time I've ever checked out this series and I have to admit it's pretty sweet. I love all the little touches, such as the camera shaking on the road when you are shooting free throws.

                2008 Season, Game 1: #2 UNC (0-0) @ Davidson (0-0)

                Preview
This is a tricky game for the Tar Heels. They have a very talented group but Davidson has a pair of guards in Jason Richards and Stephen Curry who can take over a game. If those two have big days an upset could be in the making.

                The Game
The start of the game was close until the end of the first half. UNC would go on a spurt to give them the 50-37 lead at the half. Davidson would come out and make it a 59-55 game with their hot start but the Heels would go on a 12-0 run to put any chances of a Davidson comeback to rest. UNC opened up a 20 point lead but became complacent and let Davidson creep back a little.

                Final Score
                #2 UNC - 89
