      Injuries Plague Bears

-Waco, Texas- The Bears could not do anything right in their 25 point loss to Tech. After Tech struck first, Baylor went down the field only to fumble inside the redzone. This was the theme of the day for the Bears. Five trips to the redzone resulted in zero points for them.

Tech took advantage of these mishaps and scored 2 TDs off turnovers on the day. While Tech held the lead all day, Baylor had chances to get back into the game. Late in the 3rd quarter trailing 21 to 6 the Bears drove inside the 20 only to throw an INT which Tech converted into points early in the 4th to make it 28-6 to seal the deal.

“I don’t know what you guys should expect out of a team missing its starting QB and RB. We had no running game and it cost us. An inexperienced Hart was thrown into the fire and we paid dearly”, said Croyle.

Baylor falls to 5-3 and 4-1 in the conference and hosts #3 Texas next week.

      Texas Tech 34
      Baylor 9

      Stat Leaders

      Justin Hart(SR): 25/44 for 290 yards and 2 INTs
      Charlie Ellis(FR): 18 carries for 64 yards
      Marcus Tucker(SR): 6 catches for 72 yards
      Jon Nugent(JR): 2 TFL
      Mac Green(FR): 3/4 FGs

      Injury Report

-Senior QB Stan Williams is hoping to be healthy enough to start next week
-Sophomore RB Derek Moore suffered broken ribs vs Tech and will be out for the next 3 games

      Recruiting Update

-4 Star RB Joseph Brown rated his visit a 'C'

Looks like your coach is doing pretty well. Some tough losses to some good teams. Keep it up tho.

            Lol thanks.

An update on the career, I finished 8-4 in 2013. Went 6-2 in the Big XII. Won the Cotton Bowl, again. Finished with the #53 ranked recruiting class. Texas, LSU, and Florida State got 1 thru 3. Got 4 transfers and 2 were able to redshirt(jackpot when you find those). One is a RB who is an 84 OVR with..get this...98 speed. He's going to be a redshirt SO in 2015.

So far in 2014, I'm 4-1. Wins over Penn State, Duke, Miss State, and a loss to Illinois. Big game coming up at #1 Texas in 2 weeks.

I might change jobs after this season depending on my contract. I've yet to receive an extension and I'm in year 3 of 3. I'm looking pretty hard at UAB and North Carolina. Stay tuned

Brodie retired after one year in the NFL??? So much for being the Chiefs QB of the future...

Sound like you are having a good time with this. I love to start at the small schools and work my way up.

                Bears Rally For Big Win

-Boulder,CO- The Baylor Bears tried and tried to lose the game in Boulder. But fate would have none of it.

Despite five fumbles(four lost), Baylor never trailed Colorado by more than seven. The two teams swapped first half touchdowns before the Bears hit a field goal to take a 10-7 halftime lead. The Bears then took the ball to start to start the 3rd and went in for a touchdown on a 7 play drive.

Then all of a sudden Colorado woke up. The Buffaloes drove down the field on the next possession and made it a 17-10 ballgame. Then Baylor stalled inside the CU 10 and the Buffaloes drove down the field and tied it at 17 going into the 4th.

The Bears then drove down the field only to fumble a quarterback sneak and the Buffs took over at the 2. They took only 5 plays to go 98 yards capped by a 71 yard touchdown pass to go up 24-17. Just when you thought Baylor was done, they got back up.

A 39 yard kickoff return to the Baylor 45 set up an 11 play drive capped by a 28 yard field goal by Mac Green to make it 24-20 Colorado. The Bears then held the Buffs to a 3 and out and forced a punt with 3:29 left...

"Garcia takes the snap and boots it high into the air...Dedrick Foster will take from his own 38...he gets a block at the 45..he has some room down the sideline to the 40...he spins out of a tackle at the 30!...Foster down the sideline at the 25..the 20..cuts back...finally tackled at Colorado 10 yard line!"

Baylor would take only 2 plays to punch it in to seal the win. True freshman QB Jason Schifano would finish with 2 TDs on the day and garner POTG honors.

Baylor improves to 5-1(2-0) and travels to top ranked Texas next week.
