Re: Rutgers Scarlet Knights (NCAA 07)
Ohio Bobcats (2-0) @ Rutgers Scarlet Knights (1-1)
Piscataway, NJ - The Ohio Bobcats (2-0) came into the Rutgers game undefeated and were quite confident. After blowing out Tennessee-Martin and edging out Northern Illinois, who only lost 17-14 to #1 Ohio State in week 1, the Bobcats felt they could come into Piscataway and beat the Scarlet Knights. Sure, it was a Big East-MAC matchup, and one conference is clearly better than the other, but these 2 teams were fairly evenly matched.
The Bobcats rode their momentum into the 1st quarter, as they lead 10-0 after 1 period of play. Rutgers score 14 compared to Ohio's 7 in the 2nd as Ohio took the halftime lead 17-14 over Rutgers on the road. Coach Superjames (Forget about Schiano, now we're going with Superjames!) gave his team a fiery speech at halftime. Rutgers responded by scoring 3 2nd half touchdowns and shutting out the Bobcats en route to a 34-17 victory.
"We were really good in the 2nd half," commented Superjames. "In the 1st half, we were not, but we can work on that. Mike Teel did a really nice job for us today. He was quite effective and managed the offense well. Overall, I am impressed with our performance over a fairly good Ohio team."
On a side note, star runningback Ray Rice managed only 3 carries in the game due to a shoulder injury. Coach Superjames said he'd be fine for next weeks game against the Howard Bison.
Rutgers improves to 2-1 (0-0) with the win and will face the Howard Bison (1-AA) next week.

Re: Rutgers Scarlet Knights (NCAA 07)
You know what folks, I am going to end this and opt to go with NCAA Football 06. The momentum in this game kind of ruins it for me. Sorry about this.
EDIT: Going with Penn State. I know we already have a Penn State dynasty on this board, but I have a secret love for them and Joe Pa for some reason. I really didn't want to play with WVU, since anything less than a Sugar Bowl win over Georgia would be considered a failure since that is what happened in real life. Plus, Penn State is coming off a 4-7 season which leads to the firing of Joe Paterno, leading to the coming storylines.Comment
