Re: Bringing Back The Silver and Black

                    Back In Black!!!
The worst team in the NFL a year ago nearly made it to the Super Bowl!
While the Raiders found little joy in losing to Peyton Manning and the Colts in the AFC Championship, they can salvage a bit of pride in knowing how far they have come in the last year.

JaMarcus Russell showed the poise of a veteran quarterback in the playoffs and finishing the season with 2,973 Yds 23 TDs and 19 INTs
                    .
Michael Bush finished the season with 1,041 yds and 9 TDs.

Nnamdi Asomugha won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award with 54 Tackles and 14 INTs (3 TDs)

Sebastion Janikowski won the NFL Kicker of the Year Award with 30/35 FGs (85%)

Although Oakland was successful this year, there were many weaknesses on the team that surprised the NFL.
                    • The worst offense in the NFL gained the fewest yards and allowed 44 sacks.
                    • No WR with 40 Receptions (Except TE Zach Miller with 52)
                    • Jerry Porter continues to be a dividing factor in the locker room
                    The Strength of the Raiders
                    • Defense- 35 INTs (+22 Turnovers)
                    • Pro Bowl Invites
                    1. Derrick Burgess
                    2. Fabian Washington
                    3. Michael Huff
                    4. Zach Miller
                    5. Namdi Asomugha
                    6. Barry Sims
With many crazy rumors surfacing from Raiders ownership, we may see some drastic changes in the off-season!!!

                    STAY TUNED!!!

                        OFF-SEASON

                        Coaching and Team Management
                        • Ron Rivera has been signed to a 3 Year contract as the Raiders Defensive Coordinator
                        • The Raiders have come to an agreement with Franchise Scouts Inc.
                        • South Side Healing has been hired as the training staff
                        No Move To L.A.... Yet
The Raiders were nearly on their way to Los Angeles. Nearly.
The City of Los Angeles would not agree to the terms the Raiders were making to relocate. This gives the fans in Oakland a chance to prove their desire to keep the Raiders in the Bay Area.
                        • Al Davis has also announced he will step down as the Raiders owner after the 2008 Season.
                        Retirements

Xavier Mitchell, Glen Dorsey, Dan Connor and Xavier Adibi, looks like the Raiders defense is going to stay amazing going into 2008.

Ended up playing the entire 08 Season while I was suspended from OS...

went 13-3 in the regular season (Back to Back losses to KC and Denver and a final game loss to Atlanta)

Almost every game was decided by 7 points or less (crushed the Colts 56-28... their 28 came in the second half when I pulled out most of my starters)

Beat Seattle in the Super Bowl 24-17...

New Players on the 2009 Raiders are-

Malcolm Kelly and Tim Tebow & 1st Rd Pick in 2010 Draft
                              (Via Trade w/ Ravens)

Vernon Gholston (#2 pick overall- from a trade with miami early in the 2008 season)

                              Percy Harvin

                              James Laurinaitis....

                              2009 is looking good...lol
