      Thanks for following fellas.

I started using some suggestions from koshi's esoteric thread and they help out big time. When you give the CPU a more balanced playbook the game play so much better. Hickson never really hurt me. Courtney Fells and Costner usually do well. I open up the ACC season in their backyard. It should be a great game. I can't wait.

I thought for sure Aminu would have bolted after last year but he's improved his draft stock to a potential lottery pick now. Teague has transitioned to the point now that Ish is gone so his scoring #'s might go down but his assists should increase. JJ is just Mr. Consistency. I can count on him for 10-15pts & 6-10 rebs a night. I actually updated most of the teams before the lastest rosters came out. I went on rivals.com & scout.com and took all of the commits from every major conference and put them on their respective teams. It took a decent amount of time but it helps me stay interested if the teams are accurate.

I usually update the teams before I play them if I have underated some players. For example, I had to tone down Plumlee on Duke, the Wear twins from UNC, and up Landensburg (UVA) & Kemba Walker (UCONN).

            Wake Forest 77 - Loyola(MD) 68

Wake needed every break they could get vs the pesky Greyhounds from Loyola (MD). The game was close throughout but ultimately Wake PG Jeff Teague was too much. The win moved Wake to 2-0 on the year but coach Gaudio was once again unhappy with the way his team performed, "I give credit to Loyola, they scrapped and clawed all game but I feel like we didn't play our best ball." Up next for Wake will be Delaware St in the home opener followed up by the University of Delaware.

              Wake Forest 104 - Delaware St 54

Tony Woods played a near perfect game as the Demon Deacons won their home opener for the 4th yr in a row. 21pts 10rebs 5stls & 4 blks for Woods. Freshman Cliff Guzman chipped in with 12 and Ari Stewart had 14 & 6 as Wake improved to 3-0 on the yr.

Wake completed the sweep of Delaware teams behind 24 & 6 from Al "Air Force 1" Aminu on the campus of UNLV. #12 Wake Forest 104 - #17 St. John's 74

In the battle of 4-0 teams, it was Wake Forest and the ACC who came away making the largest statement. "We felt like a lot of people underrated us after what happened last year (2nd half collapse vs Washington in the Elite 8). The season's early but playing in Vegas vs a team the caliber of St. Johns was a good opportunity to show folks that we're gonna be a force again this year." - Al Aminu.

Aminu had 18pts but it was Soph PF Cliff Guzman who stole the show with 21pts and 9 rebs off the bench. Guzman finished up by being named to the All-Torney team with Aminu who won Tournament MVP. What's even more amazing was the fact that every starter scored fo Wake including seldom used SF Levi Clayton who had 7 pts. Wake will not be able to rest on their laurels as they have a trip to Ann Arbor to face another undefeated team, Michigan, in the ACC-Big 10 challenge. Wake is 0-3 under Coach Gaudio in this games. Last year they were upset by Northwestern.

For the 3rd straight year the Wake Forest Demon Deacons lose in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge. This year it was #18 Michigan and Manny Harris who got the better of the Deacs. Up by double-digits in the 1st half, Michigan got back into the game with good ole fashioned defense. They forced 12 2nd half turnovers in front of a hostile crowd in Ann Arbor. Wake jumped out on Michigan in the 1st half behind some stellar play off the pines from Gary Clark & Ari Stewart but Jeff Teague shot just 2-11 and it was not enough as Wake dropped it's first game of the year. Up next will be a trip to Tuscaloosa, SEC country to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

                      #18 Wake Forest 76 - Alabama 68

After sliding 10 spots in the polls the Demon Deacons responded on the road to the tune of a 8 point victory at Alabama.

In their annual pilgrimage into SEC land, Wake got double-digit scoring from 4 of their 5 starters. Their defense, a weak point last year, forced 15 turnovers and held All-SEC C Jaymichael Green to 0-8 shooting.

"Tony Woods played a great all-around game (9pts,12rebs,3blks). He has been a stud in the middle for us thus far. We just need to get Jeff going (5-24 last 2 games). We have 2 tough games coming up with Baylor and UCONN on the road. We should be well prepared once the ACC season comes around" - Coach Gaudio

                        #18 Wake Forest 92 - Baylor 77

Wake traveled down to Waco, Texas to face a pesky Baylor team. Many pundits around the country say that Baylor is a low-budget Wake Forest, emulating them in style and team make-up. Tonight, Wake showed them that Baylor still has a ways to go before they can get on their level. Al Aminu and CJ Harris both had 18 and Ari Stewart & Jeff Teague contributed 13 a piece to lead the Demon Deac's to their 2nd straight road win.

"We responded well against an up and coming Baylor squad. What I was most happy with was that we shared the ball really well. The unselfishness this year has led to a more balanced attack. I think we can survive a bad shooting night from the leaders (Teague, Aminu, Johnson) because of it.

Up next will be a trip to Storrs, CT.

                          #18 Wake Forest 89 - UCONN 81

6 Demon Deacons score in double-digits, as Wake improves to 8-1 on the year. Al Aminu led the way with 19 pts and 5 rebs while Tony Woods contributed 10pts 5rebs 5stls and 4 blks. Wake's depth really wore down the Huskies tonight who put up a good fight. JR PG Kemba Walker had a game high 20pts but shot only 2-7 from downtown.

"They are a very talented team. They have size, speed, depth, and experience. There are really no weaknesses on that team" said Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun.

Wake will travel back to Winston-Salem to take on Northwestern State next.

                            #17 Wake Forest 80 - Northwestern St 56

James Johnson had a season-high 18pts in helping Wake improve to 9-1 on the year. Tony Woods continued his solid play with 10pts & 11 rebs. NW St did a good job at slowing the tempo down but it was Wake's defense that proved to be too much.

"I think we have really improved our team defense this year. We're doing a better job of rotating over and contesting shots." Coach Gaudio

With the exception of Duke, everyone looks to be keeping their in-state prospects at home. This year seems to be the year of the PG. Brad Butler (heading to NC ST) looks to be a physical speciman at 6'8 220lbs as a 17yr old.
